The country dance (controdanza) is a typical dance in which man and woman face each other and unite in graceful movements - depending on their gender, the dancers interpret the music in their own way. This wine is exactly the same: Nero d'Aola and Merlot - opposites attract and, with the right sensitivity, can harmonise and contrast wonderfully.

Ruby red colour interspersed with slivers of garnet, with an intense and concentrated bouquet of red berries, liquorice and some flint. The flavour reveals a pleasingly juicy extract with beautifully balanced wood tones and floral notes. Concentrated ruby red with garnet-coloured reflections. The wood contributes very slight hints of roasted coffee to the predominantly black cherry and berry aroma. Full and very intense flavour of dark berries, very slight hints of violets and plums, the compact tannins are supported by balsamic notes, with fine liquorice tones in the finish. Dark cherry red with violet reflections. Intense aroma of sweet, preserved Amarena cherries and sour cherries, with a delicate herbal flavour, very inviting. Karmis, an animating white wine based on Vernaccia, comes from the lower Tirso Valley in the area between Cabras and Baratili - where the climate is typically Mediterranean with mild winters, little rain and very hot, breezy summers. And so its colour is brilliant and deep yellow, the bouquet delicate but persistent with hints of fresh fruit. Soft, full and with good flavour correspondence on the palate. Dark ruby red in colour. Aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, milk chocolate and pepper are enhanced by intense violet notes. Smooth, concentrated and delicately sweet on the palate, with lush red fruit and dark berry flavours. The medium-long finish has strong but well-integrated tannins and good acidity. The "I Giganti" line, with its three wines, represents Contini's top collection. In white, rosé and red, they pay homage to the large statues that were discovered in the 1970s in the archaeological site of Mont'e Prama, just 2 km from the Cabras pond. They were farmers working the fields with their ploughs, bringing to light the precious treasures of the past. These sandstone figures were called "giants" because of their considerable size. They represent brave warriors, symbols of strength and courage.

Produced using the appassimento or Amarone method, this Valpolicella has a rich ruby-violet colour. The nose has compact notes of ripe cherries, blackberries, some cloves, elderberries and liquorice, with subtle notes of chocolate in the background. Silky texture with an abundance of sweet fruit, balanced by salty minerals and savoury spices. A hint of sour tangerine and citrus adds further depth. The finish is long, colourful and structured, with a hint of sweet tannins providing grip. Rich and powerful with a lot of melting on the palate, very classic! SUPERIORE.DE
