Grappa “AnticaCuvée 5 anni” Barrique Riserva · in gift box
AnticaCuvée is a fine, very aromatic Riserva. Nonino uses the traditional still for distillation. The inviting, clear amber colour is the result of ageing in small barrels. The cuvée is given a very special flavour by the small but significant addition of young grappa, which matures for a year in Limousin barriques. Fruity, warm, velvety and long-lasting. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light amber colour. Balanced flavour, some caramel, also herbal, delicate honey. Fresh and dry on the palate, certain saltiness, stimulating and dry on the finish." Falstaff
"Aged longer than most grappas (at least five years) in a mix of casks, including Sherry and a variety of French oak casks. All this yields complex layers that unfurl with each sip: Gentle almond and spice aromas are followed by a mix of sweet and savory flavors. Cocoa powder, golden raisin and clove mingle with sandalwood, cumin and cardamom, eventually landing on mouthwatering lemon peel acidity and a lingering incense-like glow." Wine Enthusiast

Brunello di Montalcino “La Casa” DOCG 2018
Bright, intense ruby-garnet colour. Multi-layered aromas of sweet red fruits meld into rose petals, liquorice, spices and mint. Firm and polished on the palate, floral notes provide vibrancy, finely woven tannins and balanced acidity provide structure and stability, beautifully articulated and juicy on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A classic, with a seductive bouquet of berries and blossoms; a beautiful finish, invigorating acidity, the perfect blend of elegant juiciness and pithy substance that should definitely be enjoyed with food." Vinum
"The aroma already shows a lot of intensity with ripe cherries and plums, plus a bouquet of floral notes, violets, lavender, but also "powerful" notes such as iron, blood and cedar wood. Very dense on the palate, with present, still slightly restraining but mature tannins, sweet berry fruits, shows, as so often, origin and character with a lot of Sangiovese spice. Bravo!" Weinwisser
"Quite firm, moderately woody-spicy, slightly dried-vegetable aroma of mixed berries and a little cherry with a hint of leather, dried meat, tobacco and some black olives. Ripe, youthful, firm, juicy fruit, present, ripe, crumbly-sandy tannins and a delicate bite, light tobacco and pencil wood notes in the background, a hint of iced confectionery, roasted nuances and coffee, good substance and persistence, a certain depth, salt in the background, relatively accessible at first, but closes up a little with air, very good, juicy and spicy finish." Wein-Plus
"Brilliant ruby colour with a fine garnet sheen. Compact nose with notes of dark cherry, raspberry and tobacco, some beetroot in the background. Polished and finely meshed tannin structure, dark berry fruit, shows increasing pressure on the final, a highly elegant Brunello." Falstaff
"The Brunello di Montalcino 2018 Vigna La Casa was born in a beautiful vineyard with long vistas and warm sunsets. You can definitely taste the sweet spice and cinnamon from the barrel ageing, but the wine also presents a good amount of dark fruits and plums. It finishes with soft tannins and even a hint of oaky sweetness that emphasises its accessibility." Wine Advocate
"The Brunello di Montalcino Vigna La Casa 2018 emerges from the glass with a beguiling blend of exotic spices, balsamic herbs, crushed ash stones and dried black cherries. It washes over the palate with a silky wave of ripe dark fruit, complemented by notes of liquorice and cocoa. Fine-grained tannins frame the finish, while residual acids keep the mouth watering and the plum notes fade under a hint of purple flowers. This is a radiant rendition of La Casa, a vineyard located on the crest of the Montosoli hill, opposite the town of Montalcino." Vinous
"The nose features floral aromas of roses, pomegranates, cherries and oranges, along with fresh undertones of soil and graphite. On the palate, the fruit sweetens, before a warm, spicy finish. Refined tannins create a silky, sensuous mouthfeel." Wine Enthusiast
"The other great classic from Montosoli cru, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary since it was first marketed. Redcurrants on the nose, a hint of wild sage and liquorice. It is dense and very persistent on the palate." Luca Gardini
"Leads with graphite and oak spice aromas, with flavours of plum, black cherry, eucalyptus and tobacco lurking underneath. Dense, with firm but polished tannins and guided by a lively acidity, it finishes with a long, complex aftertaste." Wine Spectator
"Lots of blue and sweet berry fruit with heady rose and floral notes on the nose, plus hot chocolate, sandalwood, toffee and nutmeg. It is full-bodied with ripe, muscular tannins that are superbly integrated. Powerful, but with a transparency and clarity that lends it beauty. Long, graceful finish. Better from 2024." “Re Manfredi” Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2018 · MAGNUM in OWC
Re Manfredi is a masterpiece made from the autochthonous Aglianico grape variety. Its label is emblazoned with the coat of arms of the ruling house of Emperor Frederick the Hohenstaufen, who was at home here. Deep ruby red, fragrant, intense and multi-layered bouquet, rich fruit, robust structure, fine tannins and clean, pleasant bitter tones in harmony, very dense, elegant, spicy and complex with a discreet woody tone. A beautiful, characteristic red! SUPERIORE.DE

“Terminum” Gewürztraminer Passito Alto Adige DOC 2022 dolce
Brilliant gold in the glass. Floral bouquet with hints of candied fruit and fine herbal spice. Lots of sweet yellow fruit and a restrained almond note on the palate. Full-bodied, creamy flavour of orange zest, some cinnamon and white pepper. The finish is long and compact with candied fruit and saffron. You could call it sensory overload, but no: it is a highly elegant, polyphonic symphony concert with several encores and standing ovations! SUPERIORE.DE
"Powerful, bright amber colour. Very intense and inviting nose of rose oil, lychee, candied pineapple and dried apricot, underpinned by a fine carpet of spices. Very intense on the palate, full-bodied flavour, very well-balanced play of sweetness and acidity, very long final, like a concentrate of apricot." Falstaff
"The Gewürztraminer Vendemmia Tardiva Terminum 2022 opens in the glass with sweet herbal notes accompanied by lemon peel and traces of petrol. It flows over the palate with textures of pure silk, sweet but not opulent. Candied citrus fruits combine with a juicy acidity that provides a fantastic freshness. The 2022 tapers off with medium length. The notes of candied apples and kiwi gradually dissolve." Vinous
"A lush, plush dessert wine with a fragrant palette of lychee, blood orange sorbet, pink grapefruit glacé, jasmine, graham cracker and lavender honey gliding across the palate. This is carried by a lively acidity that leaves a delicious impression on the lingering, well flavoured finish." Wine Spectator
"An intoxicating, aromatic wine with mineral tanginess. The nose shows apricots, roses, pine resin, fresh herbs and exotic fruit. Oily and viscous on the palate, sweet, full-bodied and mellow, with a leesy finish. Refreshing enough to achieve balance in its fully sweet style." James Suckling

“Naturalis Historia” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2017
The grapes for the rare Naturalis Historia come from a 50-year-old vineyard located 400 metres above sea level with deep, sandy soils of volcanic origin in Mirabella. Deep, sparkling dark red colour. Redcurrant, sweet spices and aromas of dark plums and red cherries on the nose. Perfectly structured on the palate with well-balanced pressure and a full body that is never broad, but fresh, supple and very agile, leading to a harmonious, long-lasting final. An outstanding Aglianico that is already delicious to drink now, but will also age wonderfully. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, rich ruby red colour with slightly brightening edges. A little reductive at first, then ripe blackberries and rich plums, with a hint of forest floor and a touch of leather in the background. On the palate with a fruity entry, well balanced, spreads out with pressure and a juicy final." Falstaff
"This is one of the iconic wines of southern Italy. The 2017 Taurasi Riserva Naturalis Historia was born in a difficult vintage with hot and bone-dry growing conditions. This wine is indeed quite heavy and powerful with charred spices, campfire embers, toasted oak, baking chocolate and baked, plummy fruit. This vintage is broad and rich." Wine Advocate
"The 2017 Taurasi Riserva Naturalis Historia seduces with a rich blend of macerated plums, wild blueberries and grilled herbs, accompanied by a hint of sous bois. The palate is energetic and tangy, with a tart core of cranberry and sour cherry that teases the cheeks, while fine-grained tannins slowly saturate. The 2017 finishes long and structured, leaving a hint of citrus and salty mineral notes that slowly fade away." Vinous
"The nose is smoky and savoury, with aromas of cured meat, dry dirt, tar and pepper, but also a powerful fruit component that comes through on the palate with notes of raspberries, strawberries, cranberries and blood oranges. A tidal wave of acidity collides with taut but dusty tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"It is very complex with flavours of dark berries, plum skins, roasted spices, grilled thyme and crushed walnuts. Also some earthy and tarry nuances. Full-bodied with solid, well-crafted tannins that run the length of the wine, carrying subtle, juicy fruit and consistent acidity. Long and balanced." James Suckling

“Ansari” Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2019
The three Tedeschi siblings Antonietta, Sabrina and Riccardo, who also select the three barrels from which the blend is made each year, give their name to the "Ansari", which is only available in small quantities. Rich bouquet of dried fruit, sultanas, rum pot and chocolate. Firm on the palate with an excellent structure, the opulent fruit centre is joined by balsamic, herbal notes and a piquant bitter note on the long finish. The perfect addition to the famous family winery's top-class Amarone range since the 2016 debut vintage. SUPERIORE.DE
"Deep dark ruby with a garnet-red rim. Elegant nose of dark plum, blueberry jam, cold smoke and fine wood spice. Lush and supple, flows over the tongue with great presence into the long final." Falstaff
"A medium- to full-bodied red, with a fragrant waft of eucalyptus and tobacco leaf elements accenting the core of soft cherry, steeped raspberry and singed orange peel notes. This wine's bright, focused flavors are integrated with fine, chalky tannins and tangy acidity." Wine Spectator
"The name is an acronym that reflects the names of the three siblings. Fine, pure fruit with the density and fullness you would expect from an Amarone. Nevertheless, the wine is impressively fresh, characterised by a wonderful acid structure that keeps it light on its feet and gives it a good, juicy length. A paradox of power and balletic detail, almost reminiscent of a Pinot from a warm vintage, so strong are the allusions to red fruit. Dangerously drinkable. An excellent, somewhat modern interpretation of Amarone." James Suckling
"The Amarone della Valpolicella Ansari 2019 needs its time in the glass, initially it is dark and floral with a hint of herbs. When coaxed, an attractive blend of wild berries, violets and gravel emerges. This silky and refined wine impresses with its perfect balance of ripe red and blue fruits, offset by salty minerals and savoury spices. The lively acidity provides a wonderful freshness, while the 2019 finishes structured and long. The grippy tannins linger, leaving the mouth wanting more." Vinous

A solid wine that excels every year is the exciting Nobile from Poliziano, which smells of dark red cherries, blackberries and roasted notes. Juicy, compact and polished on the palate, soft and balanced with silky tannins and a long, elegant finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark fruity perfume of black cherries and plums, peppery notes; pithy on the palate, robust tannins, beautiful character and good length." Vinum
"Rich and dense, this red wine shows flavours of black cherries, blackberries and blueberries, accentuated by earth and iron. All of this is supported by a lively acidity and strong tannins that are fresh and long-lasting on the finish." Wine Spectator
"A modern Vino Nobile with dark chocolate and some lush spices. Flavours of plums, roasted red peppers, berries and pine cones follow through to a dense, medium to full-bodied palate. It is firm and long." James Suckling
"The Nobile di Montepulciano 2021 is a noble drop, dusty and floral with a bouquet of dried flowers, stone dust, cedar spice and black cherries. With its silky texture, but still with an airy feel, it splashes across the palate with ripe wild berries embellished by a hint of lavender and a core of brilliant acidity. The wine finishes classically dry and crisp, leaving a web of fine tannins and a pleasantly bitter note that lingers." Vinous

“Il Borro” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020 (BIO)
The top wine from the winery of the same name presents itself in an exemplary manner and as a kind of reference for many other so-called Super Tuscans in the region. Deep ruby red in colour with light red reflections. Dark fruit, spices, herbs, some leather and a fine tarry note on the nose. The flavours then unfold powerfully and concentrated on the palate, yet it glides velvety with a wonderfully balanced acid-tannin ratio into a rich, well-proportioned and long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby colour with purple nuances. Dark and spicy nose of pipe tobacco, ebony, dark plum, also slightly balsamic. Dense and soft on the palate with dark chocolate, plums and rosemary, powerful and even, long." Falstaff
"Although lush and concentrated, this red wine is also light on its feet. Flavours of plum, blackberry, boysenberry and fruitcake abound, accented by notes of iron and spice, with a hint of wild herbs. Firm tannins line the finish, which nevertheless displays a fine harmony and a long-lasting aftertaste." Wine Spectator
"The organic wine Il Borro 2020 is a powerful Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The wine shows a lot of oak, which is noticeable as roasted spices, coconut or buttered almonds. There is a distant note of dried dill, which disappears in the context of the big, ripe black fruit at the core. You get a lot of richness and fruit weight from a hot vintage." Wine Advocate
"Initially intensely spicy, with topsoil, graphite, leather, then fresh and floral with crushed sage and lavender, before wild cherry and wild strawberry emerge. On the palate, the black cherry notes are generous and bright, but with deep, brooding earth tones for contrast. The tannins are refined but tensile like good armour, and a warm but invigorating salinity runs through a long finish." Wine Enthusiast
"This is a round and quite juicy young wine with notes of blackberries, chocolate and grilled meat. Full and complex with very fine tannins that are well integrated and a bright finish. Lively on the finish." James Suckling

“Ghiaie della Furba” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020 (BIO)
Ghiaie della Furba means "pebbles of the Furba stream" and there is a reason for this, as the vines for this wine grow on the river pebbles on the banks of this stream. It is one of the very first "Supertuscans". After an hour in the carafe, this extremely complex red reveals wonderfully clear, dark fruit, blackberries and cassis, as well as coffee notes, dark chocolate and spices. Its very good structure and personality are impressive. It is already very accessible today (with aeration), but still hides its great potential for the next decade. SUPERIORE.DE
"Nose dominated by Cabernet Franc with notes of blackberries, undergrowth, eucalyptus; then full-bodied with pithy tannins, carried by the acidity, the final dark berry-spicy and long." Vinum
"Complex combination of oak, dried herbs, fresh pomegranate and blackberries together with graphite and baking spice, combined with earthy undertones." Decanter
"Notes of crushed dark berries, dark chocolate, spices and dried herbs. Also some graphite. So bright and lively, concentrated and juicy dark fruit flavours, yet fresh and harmonious. Medium to full body. The tannins are well developed, firm but polished and unobtrusive. Long finish." James Suckling
"The Ghiaie della Furba 2020 opens with a mentholated freshness that combines minty herbs, spiced orange peel and redcurrants. It envelops the palate with a texture of pure silk and quickly gains grip with a core of tart red berries and acidic citrus, while the angular tannins pinch the cheeks. It finishes with admirable length, structure and concentration, leaving a pleasantly bitter aftertaste as notes of cedar and savoury herbal notes slowly fade. The 2020 needs time, and lots of it. Ghiaie della Furba is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Syrah and 25% Merlot." Vinous
"The nose is reminiscent of a garden after a storm, where a fresh, floral note mingles with the stony character of the still humid air. On the palate, this stony element persists, while a hint of pepper, a touch of astringent red fruit and lively acidity sparkle over grippy, persistent tannins." Wine Enthusiast

“Poggio de' Colli” Cabernet Franc Toscana IGT 2021
The dark, seductive Cabernet Franc Poggio de' Colli takes its time in the glass and slowly awakens with a blend of redcurrants, peppery roses, exotic curries and a slight hint of musk that lends it gravitas. Velvety soft yet refined. Aristocratic and cool on the palate, with a powerful wave of tart raspberry fruit that feeds the palate with savoury spices and mineral notes. Leaves a layer of fine tannins and a hint of berry concentration on the final, which tapers off savoury, long and perfectly balanced. A radiant wine that will only reveal its full beauty in a few years. SUPERIORE.DE
"Long before Franc became modern, this was already a single-varietal: nose of eucalyptus and blackcurrants, also undergrowth and fine spice; pithy in the mouth, the tannins robust, lots of fruit and herbal notes on the finish." Vinum
"Bright, rich ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. On the nose, cassis, ripe blackberries and rich plums, with a leathery background and forest floor flavour. Well-integrated tannins on the palate, juicy, with precise fruit and a long, elegant final." Falstaff
"The 2021 Poggio de Colli is breathtaking. It is consistently peppery and floral, with masses of crushed strawberries and raspberries, flavoured with tangerine peel. It impresses with its wiry texture, balanced by tantalising acidity. A core of tart wild berries unfolds on the palate, underscored by salty minerals and a hint of citrus. Fine-grained tannins emerge on the finish, while the 2021 finishes savoury yet fresh, leaving the mouth watering despite its structure and intensity. This is a mature vintage for the Poggio de Colli, but nevertheless a marvellous Cabernet Franc that will pay off in the cellar." Vinous

“Ser Lapo” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2021 · MAGNUM
With this exceptional Chianti Classico Riserva, the Mazzei family celebrates their famous ancestor Ser Lapo, in whose writings the name "Chianti" is mentioned for the first time. The upper part of the label features a faithful reproduction of one of his writings (from 1398) with beautiful calligraphy. "Don't worry about the cost of this wine, even though it was expensive: its quality will make up for it."
Opens with classic aromas of blackberry, cassis and a fine hint of violet. Warm and full on the palate, a firm core of dark, sweet fruit, smooth tannins, rich and with elegant acidity. Spicy and long, with an unmistakable appetising hint of sage and mint on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with a subtly brightening rim. Medium expression on the nose, subtle earthy tones, with ripe, shy, cherry fruit. A little wild on the palate, with a slightly animal touch, plenty of tannins and a fine mint flavour, not yet fully integrated, be patient!" Falstaff
"The 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva Ser Lapo is a complex, beguiling wine. It presents a decidedly aromatic, savory expression of Sangiovese. Cedar, pipe tobacco, crushed autumn leaves and wild red cherry race across the palate, all framed by vibrant saline underpinnings. Once again, the Ser Lapo is one of the under-the-radar gems in the lineup from Mazzei." Vinous

“Haiku” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020
Complex bouquet of ripe fruit, sage and tobacco flavours. Dense and firm on the palate with savoury tannins, very well structured and of outstanding quality and purity, long and powerful on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Haiku shows an inky dark appearance with black fruit aromas, dark granite, spice and iron ore. The 2020 vintage reveals an especially dark core of ripe fruit. The primary aromas are surrounded by spice, tarry smoke and leather. This edition is full-bodied and generous in only a manner 2020 can manage." Wine Advocate
"It is a herbal red, intense and with wonderfully zesty acidity. Black and red fruits are accompanied by flecks of blood orange and chocolate, while the soft tannins lend a plush mouthfeel – yet it remains vertical and fresh with a spicy finish. Delicious." Decanter
"This is really intense and energetic with black berries, black cherries and black earth with some black truffle and orange peel. It's medium- to full-bodied with chewy tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Already impressive for a young wine but needs two or three years to soften." James Suckling
"The 2020 Haiku is once again impressive. Dark, explosive and layered, the 2020 delivers the goods. It's a wine that offers a mix of regional character with an international flair. One of the more expressive wines in the range, Haiku shows the more exuberant side of the year off in spades. Time in the glass releases the Franc aromatics very nicely." Vinous

“Colto” Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2020
"Bright ruby red colour. Very pure and concentrated on the nose, with juicy sour cherry fruit. Smooth, long, fresh and expressive." Jancis Robinson
"Here is a new submission from Castello Romitorio with 6,600 bottles released. The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino Colto is a true Sangiovese with a lean, tart texture and lots of wild berry flavours. These flavours fade into forest floor, cola and rosemary twigs." Wine Advocate
"This red is ripe and dense, with a fleshy texture and granular tannins supporting cherry, plum, iron, earth and tobacco flavors. Remains fresh and persistent through the lingering aftertaste." Wine Spectator
"The Rosso di Montalcino Colto 2020 is spicy and strongly perfumed. It shows raspberries, dried violets, spiced orange peel and a hint of smoke. The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino Colto washes over the palate with undeniable elegance, contrasting a savoury note with vibrant ripe fruit and a hint of acidic citrus that flashes towards the finish. It leaves a hint of blue and violet-coloured flowers and a residue of acidity that retains a wonderful freshness. The 2020 is very balanced and conveys both opulence and seriousness. The Colto is a selection from all of Romitorio's vineyards, including a 10-hectare plot of experimental clones from across Tuscany that is now 14 years old." Vinous
"A delicious, soft and balanced Rosso with aromas and flavours of dark cherries and plums. Notes of dried flowers and spicy oak are also recognisable. Almost full-bodied with very silky, well-integrated tannins that give the wine a plump, almost chalky texture. Long finish with fruit-soaked minerals. Very well made. Only 6,000 bottles produced." “Trinoro” Bianco Toscana IGT 2021
Bianco Trinoro is made from 100% Semillon from a tiny sandy plot in the highest areas of the Trinoro vineyard. The plot is located at around 600 metres above sea level and covers approximately 5,000 square metres. The vineyard was partially planted in 2001 and completed in 2006 with vines from Bordeaux; here, as elsewhere on the estate, the vines are planted close together, one metre apart, in the Bordeaux style. Very aromatic with ripe, fruity notes balanced by a lovely freshness and acidity, great length and very good ageing potential! SUPERIORE.DE
"An exciting white wine from the Semillon production with apple slices, lime and light mango. Somewhat nutty on the finish. Medium to full body. Flavoursome. Fruity." James Suckling
"The Tenuta di Trinoro 2021 Bianco di Trinoro, made from Semillon in cement and stainless steel, opens with a very pale golden colour and crisp citrus aromas that are both tart and acidic at this young age. The wine is endowed with minerality, grapefruit, pear and quince. This wine is characterised by a crisp and structured note. Only 1,700 bottles were produced." Wine Advocate

“W.... Dreams ..." Bianco Venezia Giulia IGT 2022
"W.... Dreams ... ......" has stood for "Where Dreams can happen" since the 2003 vintage and originates from "Where the Dreams have no end", which was first pressed with the 1987 harvest. The '96 to '02 vintages were labelled "Were Dreams now it's just Wine".
Expressive with aromas of lime blossom, jasmine, incense and warm peach skin, this wine crackles with vibrant acidity, delicately interwoven with layers of ripe yellow melon and apple fruit, salted almonds and candied ginger. A noble white wine that lingers for a long time. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, present straw yellow colour. Opens with subtle notes of smoke, then camomile, some apricot, light mineral components in the background. Juicy and straightforward on the palate, follows through with good tension, fine yellow fruit components, salty final." Falstaff
"Fresh and toasty nose with aromas of pastry, spice, citrus and roasted pineapple. Quite full and tangy on the palate, with a flavourful mid-palate and a medium-long, clean finish. Subtle oak bite at the end." James Suckling
"There's good presence and structure to this harmonious white, with a vibrant spine of acidity working nicely with the rich range of creamed apple, chopped hazelnut, Meyer lemon peel and ginger-infused pastry cream flavors. Long and fluid, with a tang of salinity driving the finish." Wine Spectator

“Vintage Tunina” Bianco Venezia Giulia IGT 2022
Vintage Tunina is predominantly made from Sauvignon and Chardonnay. There are also small amounts of Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Picolit. Bright golden yellow in colour, the intense, very elegant bouquet shows notes of honey and meadow flowers. Dry, soft, very fruity flavour with excellent persistence, fine spiciness and full body. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling straw yellow with olive green reflections. Medium expression on the nose, fine citrus fruit, cold smoke, hints of elderflower, grapefruit and crisp apricots. Good freshness on the palate, yeasty, with light phenolics and a cool core, currently still very young, still needs to age." Falstaff
"This elegant white is vibrant and inviting, with a sense of finesse as a racy spine of acidity is enmeshed with fruit flavors of melon, kiwi fruit and pink grapefruit glâcée, plus accents of green almond and white blossoms. Spice and mineral notes play on the mouthwatering finish." Wine Spectator
"Lots of tangy fruit with zesty lemon, lime, lemongrass and raw ginger character and a hint of waxy undertones. Medium-bodied, dense and focused, with a frame of fruit and a solid finish. Lots of spices and green fruits as well as fresh herbs such as basil and sage." James Suckling

Brunello di Montalcino “Vigna del Lago” DOCG 2018
In the past, the northern slope of Montalcino was not planted with vines, but was cultivated with cereals, olives and cherries. In this area influenced by the Apennines, the seasons are more pronounced, continental and the north wind significantly lowers the temperature in winter. It is therefore the coldest Brunello region at this time of year, but also the wettest. This northern slope is a gentle hill: a characteristic that is more reminiscent of the Crete Senesi area, right next door, than the two stiffer, steeper and warmer southern slopes of Montalcino.
Due to the climate and the origin of the soil, the grapes in this area of Montalcino are harvested last every year. Vigna del Lago is the vineyard that welcomes all visitors travelling from the north of Montalcino. It takes its name from the lake that surrounds it and which plays a fundamental role in the microclimate of the area; the soil is a constant alternation between clay and strips of very fine Galestro.
Brunello Vigna del Lago is a historic cru from the Val di Suga winery, it is an old-school Brunello, from the times before the arrival of barriques and technology. An authentic product that is enjoying increasing demand. Unlike the Poggio al Granchio, which is aged in new Liters French barriques, this wine matures in large 30- and 50-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels.
It is a wine with a low alcohol content, light orange-ruby colour, with very fine and almost imperceptible tannins, with a floral nose of citrus notes, myrtle and fresh cherries. It is a Brunello of great richness and balance and also has a very pleasant lightness, well-contoured acidity and a salty, mineral finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Cosy bouquet of flowers, herbs and black forest fruits; the attack is balanced, harmonious, with juice and suppleness right into the complex finish. convinces with its polish." Vinum
"A fragrant Brunello that convinces with small red and dark fruits and increasingly reveals floral notes with air. Amarena cherry, leather. On the palate, a fine melting style, polished, juicy, elegant, red berry spice and plum. Beautiful drinking flow that is already fun. It still has room for improvement." Weinwisser
"Almost a little developed, barrel-woody and tobacco-like aroma of predominantly black berries, some tar, ash, iodine and forest floor. Clear, straightforward, ripe, almost cool, predominantly red fruit, quite present, fine tannins, a certain acid bite, persistent on the palate, herbal and salty nuances, moderate barrel tones, again a little forest messenger, resinous traces, good depth, restrained power, elegant style, multi-layered, gains transparency and freshness with air, very good to long, firm, tart-juicy finish with fine spice." Wein-Plus
"Bright ruby red colour, radiant. Appealing, open nose of leather, rosehips, blood oranges, with fine precious wood and dark berry notes on the finish. Grippy, firm tannins on the palate, with plenty of juice and finesse" Falstaff
"Brilliant medium ruby red with orange-coloured reflections. Balsamic and with just a hint of sour cherry and a touch of spice, and with brooding concentration. A sense of richness on the palate with plenty of cherry fruit framed by delicious, chewy tannins. Lots of depth. Ripe now, but with the potential to age further." Jancis Robinson
"The Vigna del Lago surrounds the Val di Suga winery in the north-west of Montalcino. The gently sloping vineyard lies on clay soil at 280 metres above sea level. The wine is aged exclusively in large Slavonian oak barrels with a capacity of 30 to 40 hectolitres in order to preserve the wonderful purity of the sweet fruit. The 2018 is subtly perfumed and exudes delicate aromas of white flowers and oranges that emphasise the scent of red berries. Light and lively, it is initially more reminiscent of a Rosso di Montalcino, but a powdery texture and its persistent mineral core add complexity." Decanter
"Smooth and juicy, with flavours of cherry, plum, sage and leather. Light and lively, with fine tannins on the finish. Shows excellent balance and length." Wine Spectator
"The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna del Lago is perfumed, with crushed blackberries and plums accompanied by minty herbs and a hint of smoke. It is silky-smooth yet racy in style, with masses of tart wild berries accompanied by vibrant acidity. Violet and lavender tones resonate, while the Vigna del Lago finishes structured and slightly chewy with silty tannins and a hint of bitter cocoa that lingers." Vinous
"The nose blends the adventurous aromas of leather, stone and coffee with lighter notes of vanilla, cherries and bitter orange peel. On the palate, a current of blood orange bolsters the cherry element, while the vanilla sweetness pushes back against a swelling bitter undertone. Taut tannins march into a warm finish." “Villa Gemma” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva DOC 2017
Seductive bouquet of exotic sweet spices, pickled cherries and minty herbs. Juicy and deep on the palate, with an abundance of ripe red fruits stimulated by a lively acidity, while rosy tones build inside over a layer of fine but sweet tannins. In the long and lightly structured final, bitter notes mix with sour citrus fruits, which in combination with the fine extract sweetness creates all kinds of tension. Very energetic and complex. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark violet with minimal lightening rim. Medium expression on the nose, on roasted malt, walnuts, plus chocolate powder, reverberating on Amarena cherry and pickled plums. Nice creaminess and compact tannin on the palate, spans a wide arc, savoury in attack and progression, rich finish with minimal aftertaste." Falstaff
"The 2017 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva is a dark beauty with balsam herbs giving way to spiced cookie, hints of cinnamon and citrus-kissed black cherries. It’s incredibly elegant in character with silken waves of ripe red and black fruits complemented by sweet spice. This saturates the palate with sweet tannins that create a structured feel, yet fail to slow the 2017’s momentum throughout the long and dramatic finale. There’s so much balance and intensity here, making the 2017 a sure bet for the cellar." Vinous

“Archineri” Bianco Etna DOC 2022
The mineral Archineri made from the ancient Carricante grape from vines at an altitude of around 900 metres is quite exquisite. With great clarity and freshness, it displays its typical flavour profile of crushed rock, apple, banana, peach and citrus fruit. Fascinatingly dense on the palate with a velvety texture, a hint of chalk and a long, complex mineral finish. Pre-Phylloxera = from old, ungrafted vines! SUPERIORE.DE
"Fresh, engaging aromas of apple, pear, light-coloured stone fruit and flowers. Very juicy on the palate, wonderfully balanced with good freshness, a silky texture and a savoury final. The white Archineri already delivers consistently high quality for the price." Weinwisser
"Medium bright straw yellow with light reflections. Fine aromas of vineyard peach, mint, salted lemon and a hint of nutmeg on the nose. Very fresh and salty on the palate, straightforward and with a long final of citrus zest and fine minerality." Falstaff
"This is an intense and flavoursome white wine with a hint of saltiness combined with pineapple fruit, a hint of herbs and a lovely juiciness." Decanter
"A honeyed white backed by a steely spine of acidity, this is long and fragrant, with almond blossom and chamomile notes accenting flavors of poached pear and white strawberry fruit, blood orange peel and petrol, plus hints of white pepper and sage." Wine Spectator
"The 2022 Etna Bianco Archineri smells of a savoury blend of dusty dried flowers, shaved ginger and lime zest. It is round and supple, with a lovely inner sweetness and ripe orchard fruit balanced by a core of palpable minerals. The lively acidity makes for a pleasant final with medium length that leaves a hint of candied citrus and fresh mint." Vinous
"The nose is strongly characterised by citrus and stone fruit, but a subtle floral aroma adds elegance. The palate also begins citrus-driven before deeper, richer flavours of nuts, honey and herbs emerge. The salty finish brings a pleasant, unifying coolness." Wine Enthusiast
"Very pure and mineral nose, giving a stony, precise feel, almost as if you were sniffing in a quarry. Also some smoked tarragon and lemon peel. Impressive tension on the mid-palate with stimulating acidity and minerality. Pure and long. Delicious." James Suckling

“Santo Spirito” Rosso Etna DOC 2020
Brilliant, brightening ruby-garnet colour. Spicy notes of wild berries, liquorice, flint and traces of thyme on the nose. Beguiling extract sweetness on the palate, with a juicy and racy freshness and fine, tight tannins. Fine salty components on the final, already very polished and supple with further interesting ageing potential. Around 4,000 bottles were bottled. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Etna Rosso Santo Spirito 2020 is remarkably pretty. It smells of black cherries and dried strawberries, complemented by a hint of cloves and allspice. It is soothingly round, with pretty red berry fruit supported by lively acidity, while rosy, floral notes and liquorice emerge towards the end. The wine finishes with a classic tannin and retains a fantastic freshness. The 2020 has a beautiful balance that will carry it through its long and broad drinking window." Vinous
"This is well spiced almost zesty- with a skein of milled pepper and ground cumin winding through plumped cherry, iron, dried tarragon and lavender notes. Dense and chewy, with a lively, lingering and fragrant finish." Wine Spectator
"Captivating minerals, white pepper, mezcal, orange peel and a wild, sulphurous flavour. Really juicy and broad on the palate with firm, powdery tannins that dissolve in the long, savoury finish." James Suckling
"The nose is full of bright, energetic notes of cherry, strawberry and blood orange, but undertones of sage and pencil shavings add depth and nuance. On the palate, a crackle of pepper reveals the bitterness of the orange notes, while structured tannins and bright acidity support the citrus tartness." Wine Enthusiast
"This Santo Spirito 2020 is dark, ferruginous and flavoursome with a slight tannic influence. It is nevertheless impressively fresh, opening with hints of menthol, lavender and herbs. It is precise and balanced, showing dark cherry fruit at its best while being effortlessly light on its feet." Decanter

"Sweet roses, liquorice, dried strawberries and incense form a seductive bouquet when the MV Extra Brut Rosé Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige 45 Edizione blossoms in the glass. Its minerality is evident in the foreground, perfectly balanced by the plush, massaging bubbles that fade into hints of tart cherries. The finish is dramatically long and reminiscent of red candy, while a strong residual acidity keeps the mouth watering." Vinous
"A firm, mineral rosé with a fine mousse and a detailed flavour palette of dried black cherries and raspberries, chopped almonds and aromatic hints of dried flowers and herbs. There is a salty note on the finish that cleanses the wine." Wine Spectator

Limitation of 12 articles per customer“Campo San Giorgio” Rosso Conero Riserva DOCG 2018
The Montepulciano vines for this powerful and terroir-rich Montepulciano grow on the Campo San Giorgio vineyard at an altitude of about 150 m on deep, chalky clay soils. The wine is unfiltered and unfined and matures for 12 months in small and large wooden barrels. The label represents the historic design of the Rosso Conero of the 1970s and the impressive result is the calling card of a long family tradition and expertise in viticulture.
Deep dark ruby red with violet and garnet reflections. Very expressive on the nose with a fruity style of cherry, plum, liquorice and herbal spice. Fresh and firm on the palate, the delicate extract sweetness gives it harmony and the silky tannins lead into a warm, very long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark shining ruby red. In the nose of juicy, ripe raspberries and cherries, shows elegant leather spice, cedar wood, a hint of blood orange in the aftertaste. On the palate initially with elegant creaminess, shows racy acidity in fine interplay with tannin and fruit, spans a wide, fine arc, slightly salty in the final." Falstaff
"This has aromas of black fruit, leather, charcoal and toast. Some iodine and grilled herbs. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins. Charred-wood character at the moment, but it’s long and shows excellent concentration." James Suckling
"With only 6,000 bottles made, the Umani Ronchi 2018 Conero Riserva Campo San Giorgio is a terrific expression of Montepulciano that highlights elegance and persistence. This vintage saw very healthy fruit, and you taste pure tones of plum, blackberry, spice and garden herb. The tannins are etched and graceful, giving the Campo San Giorgio lots of solid support at the back. This is a beautiful wine." Wine Advocate

“Contrada Rampante” Rosso Etna DOC 2019
Contrada Rampante with a finely woven bouquet of dark red cherries, flowers, mint and liquorice. Fresh and lively on the palate, with a memorable blend of ethereal sweetness, delicate acidity and an interesting salty note. A contemplative wine that requires a certain amount of experience and patience in order to fully discover itself and its deliciousness. Pre-Phylloxera = from ungrafted vines! SUPERIORE.DE
"The Contrada Rampante near Solicchiata generally produces wines that are rather poor in minerals. This is partly due to the altitude of around 750 to 800 metres above sea level, but also to the special composition of the soil. The wine is lean and taut, almost "austere", the mineral spiciness and the upright tannin structure initially support the impression of a certain austerity, which here, however, thanks to its maturity, is even reminiscent of a top Brunello thanks to its melting texture and fine Amarena fruit." Weinwisser
"The Pietradolce 2019 Etna Rosso Contrada Rampante has an almost sweet bouquet with fragrant roses, candied almonds and wild berries. The wine is lean and taut in texture and finishes with fine tannins and subtle mineral nuances. The vines are planted at 850 metres above sea level and in this case, too, they are old plants from before the phylloxera plague. Only 4,000 bottles were released." Wine Advocate
"Dark and brooding, the 2019 Etna Rosso Rampante evolves slowly, with crushed ash stone and savoury grilled herbs balancing the dried black cherries. It's silky and refined, with a polished wave of ripe red and black fruit carried by vibrant acidity. A hint of sour citrus adds a pleasing punctuation towards the finish. Although the 2019 is only slightly tannic, it finishes with a youthful tension. A hint of primary concentration and a bitter hint of blackberry linger throughout. The power of the Rampante is on full display here, but you need patience to savour it." Vinous
"Full of aromas of ripe wild strawberries and black cherries. The palate is muscular, but with a beautifully taut and mineral centre, fresh and energetic, with ripe blueberries and a hint of chocolate on the long finish." Decanter

The red Archineri from Nerello Mascalese grapes is full of character and elegance. A very refined bouquet of redcurrants and wild berries, with a hint of dog rose, stone fruit and ethereal aromas. Very exquisite, very juicy, flavoursome and long. SUPERIORE.DE
"A herbaceous, spicy bouquet with Mediterranean culinary herbs such as sage and oregano, followed by floral accents of rose petals and peonies. On the palate, it is compact and almost sparse with a linear structure, which is reinforced by the earthy-mineral character and the supporting tannins, with the typical salty smokiness and fine red fruit on the juicy final." Weinwisser
"Bright ruby red with a brightening rim. Somewhat closed on the nose, delicate flint with red berry fruit. Barren and stony on the palate, shows a fine saltiness, very young, yet harmonious and balanced, constantly juicy on the final, beautiful length." Falstaff
"This shows fine interplay between its dried cherry and strawberry flavors, with savory notes of fresh earth, mountain herbs, iron and smoked paprika. Lively, focused and finely knit, with a creamy edge to the structured tannins that buoys the overall integration and length." Wine Spectator
"A floral, herbaceous bouquet with notes of sage, oregano, tomatoes, roses and peonies. On the palate, a dash of balsamic vinegar and a pinch of pepper add further nuances to the waltz of savoury herbs and flowers. The tannins emphasise the earthiness, while the acidity introduces a fruity element that is both sweet and tart." Wine Enthusiast
"An evolutionary nose of dried roses, figs and baked plums leads to a palate with lively acidity and a hint of rosewater. Exotic, bazaar-like flavours, rich exotic fruit minerality and charming floral fruitiness. Delicate smoke, round texture, fine tannins, juicy bitter cherry finish. Slightly tart." Decanter
"Ripe, spicy nose for an Etna Rosso with lots of orange peel, white pepper, cloves and mandarins. Also some stones and sage. Firm and full-bodied with a mineral texture that lightly coats the palate. Broad-shouldered tannins with a long, mineral finish." James Suckling
"The 2020 Etna Rosso Archineri is earthy, dark and brooding, with a youthfully backward bouquet of ashen stones, grilled herbs and dried berries. It is silky smooth, with ripe wild berries accompanied by a hint of blood orange. A salty core of minerality saturates towards the end. This leaves a lingering tension on the palate. The lively acidity tantalises the senses and the fine tannins penetrate deeply, leading to a dramatically long, structured and intense final." Vinous
