You love pasta? We do too! Preferably the wonderful pasta varieties made from durum wheat semolina from small manufacturers in southern Italy or also wonderful tagliatelle made from fresh dough with lots of eggs.
Since 1924, Rustichella d'Abruzzo has been producing high-quality pasta with great care and the consistent renunciation of machine production. The home of the traditional manufactory is in the middle of Abruzzo in the small municipality of Pianella. Here, only the highest quality ingredients are used to produce the pasta. The dough is made from the best durum wheat semolina and is pulled through hand-forged bronze discs in the finest tradition of craftsmanship. This process not only gives the pasta the authentic look of handmade pasta, but also gives it precisely the typical rough surface that allows sugos to adhere perfectly.
What kind of pasta would you like?
Whether spaghetti, penne rigate or the little farfalle, which actually means butterfly, although they look like an elegant bow tie with a dinner jacket. The variations and names are almost innumerable and often funny from a historical point of view. There are cavatappi - corkscrews or "mal tagliate", which simply means "badly cut", as well as capellini "angel hair", i.e. very thin spaghetti, or strozzapreti - priest's strangles, because in those days it was said that priests who were too greedy got a gag reflex when they devoured the meal too quickly.
Fast food in slow food quality, so to speak. But what makes good pasta?
You can taste the difference in quality especially in the ingeniously simple recipes such as "Pasta al burro e salvia" (simply toss the cooked pasta in butter with fresh sage leaves) or the legendary "aglio e olio" (lightly roasted garlic and the finest extra virgin olive oil). And of course, if you spend hours in the kitchen simmering the perfect "ragù alla bolognese", then you should also take the really good tagliatelle with it, just like the Italians do and never spaghetti from blue boxes.
Pasta is also practical. If you need to make it quickly, simply add a delicious pesto or sugo from our delicatessen range and ten minutes later your "Penne all'arrabbiata" or "Rigatoni con pesto genovese" are ready to serve.
A little tip: flower pots with fresh herbs such as basil, rosemary or thyme are not only wonderful flavour providers and pretty table decorations, but also smell wonderfully of holidays. SUPERIORE.DE
