The Bolognas - Barbera pioneers from Piedmont - have their Grappa Invecchiata di Bricco dell'Uccellone produced every year by the famous Distelleria Berta. Obtained from the marc of the Bricco dell'Uccellone, distilled according to the classic, discontinuous method by the Berta grappa dynasty in Mombaruzzo, Piedmont, matured in those wooden barrels in which the coveted and avant-garde Barbera wine was previously aged. Only about 4,000 bottles of this noble distillate are produced.

The famous Romano Levi distillery was bought by an old friend of Levi and an investor from the town of Neive after his death (1 May 2010). Their aim is to maintain the tradition, art and spirit of Romano Levi in Neive. Today, the old distillery has been completely renovated and converted into a museum. The new owners continue to use the old Levi still. The technology and the barrels, however, are new in order to produce a higher quality, more sophisticated grappa.

From Romano Levi's huge legacy of hand-painted labels, we have now been able to select some of the most interesting graphics, which - reproduced in high quality - are available exclusively from us.

The fresh, must-soaked marc is compressed in underground pits immediately after delivery in order to naturally extract all the aromas and flavours of the grape. Distillation takes place exclusively in the months of March and April using the discontinuous method on direct fire and the very special characteristics perfected by Levi. Nonino celebrates the 25th anniversary of the ÙE grape brandy with the outstanding Riserva ÙE 25th Anniversary - an assemblage of separately distilled grape brandies from Ribolla, Moscato, Merlot and Malvasia, which matured for five years in barriques or small wooden barrels. Golden yellow colour, elegant bouquet of vanilla, caramel and nut. On the palate a wonderfully deep grape aroma, very long and soft. Without the addition of dyes. SUPERIORE.DE

Antica Cuvée - here in the high alcoholic dosage form "Cask Strength" - is a fine, very aromatic Riserva. Nonino uses the traditional still for distillation. The inviting clear amber colour is the result of storage in small barrels. A very special note is given to the cuvée by the small but essential addition of young grappa, which has matured for a year in Limousin barriques. Fruity, warm, velvety and long-lasting. Aqua Vitae is the result of the collaboration between Distilleria Artigiana di Gioacchino Nannoni, which directly takes care of the entire process of distillation, maturation and bottling, and Azienda Agricola di Montevertine, which supplies the Sangiovese marc from the vineyard "Le Pergole Torte". After steam distillation, the wine is matured for about four years in oak Caratelli casks. Amber in the glass, soft, warm, intense and gently enveloping on the nose and palate - stylistically it is more like an Armagnac than a grappa. SUPERIORE.DE

The 30th vintage grappa is here: Amber-coloured in the glass like warm, shiny gold. The bouquet is delicately spiced with cedar wood, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa and coffee, as well as delicate notes of candied fruit, a little honey and a fragrant, sweet hint of jasmine. Powerful on the palate, structured with a soft fullness; fine varietal fruit and herbal aromas blend very elegantly with warm spicy barrique notes, with a long final with a hint of aniseed and liquorice - a truly majestic grappa! The brilliantly clear Grappa Cru Monovitigno Pignolo was produced in very limited quantities and bottled in 150 numbered decanters with a vintage label, exclusively available only at SUPERIORE.DE It is a single-varietal grappa made from marc of the rare Pignolo grape from the Nonino vineyard in Buttrio in Friuli. It is rich, elegant and velvety smooth with a pronounced wild berry flavour.

With "Cru Monovitigno Pignolo", the Noninos are taking part in the "Omaggio a Venezia" project, an initiative involving prestigious Italian brand producers such as Alessi, Loro Piana, Missoni, Tod's, Trussardi and others. "Omaggio a Venezia" aims to help the city fathers of Venice to preserve the artistic and architectural heritage, this unique and unmistakable style of Venice.

Part of the proceeds from the sale will be given to the city of Venice for the restoration of the 17th century "Camerino degli Stucchi" in the Ca'Rezzonico Museum. SUPERIORE.DE

Amber-coloured grappa made from the marc of selected grapes from Friuli with an ageing period of eight years in small barrels of various woods. Soft, elegant bouquet, complex, velvety and persistent on the palate. We discover fruity and floral notes, vanilla and almonds, dried fruit and grapes. Serve this fine Riserva at room temperature in balloon-shaped glasses and allow the distillate to rest in the glass for a few minutes to allow the flavours to come into their own in full harmony. ÙE Merlot Gran Riserva matures sealed and supervised by the Italian Customs and Monopolies Authority for over 12 years in sherry casks from Jerez de la Frontera in the company's cellars.

Natural amber colour with a golden sheen. Very elegant on the nose with sweet scents of marzipan, sultanas, iris, violets and candied fruits, which are echoed in the lingering taste and with balsamic notes.

Romano Levi: "Grappa distilled by unsuspecting people "

The fresh marc, saturated with must, is compressed immediately after delivery in underground pits in order to extract all the aromas and flavours of the grape in a natural way. Distillation takes place exclusively in the months of March and April using the discontinuous method on direct fire and the very special characteristics perfected by Levi. The marcs for this beautiful 5 year matured Riserva come from the best Amarone producers in Valpolicella. Sparkling amber. Complex aroma of small forest fruits, cherry jam, cocoa, cinnamon and notes of black pepper. The finish is rich, warm and enveloping, very long. SUPERIORE.DE

Honey-coloured with concentrated wood and ripe tones on the nose, which come from the ten months of ageing in barriques. The taste is of heavy sweetness with accentuated tannins, harmonious, round and long. A perfectly balanced digestif - powerful and elegant. SUPERIORE.DE

Well matured (7 years in the barrel) and full of finesse is the Bric del Gaian, which the Berta family produces from Moscato grapes from their own estate. Bright amber in colour, fresh aroma of cirus fruit, sage and vanilla. The velvety taste is extremely engaging. The delicately sweet wood tannins underline the elegant freshness in the fine finish. Aristocratic! The whole world regards Picolit as "la Regina delle Grappe" due to its character, harmony and the emotions it evokes with every sip. Pure and crystalline, its nose is reminiscent of full honeycombs, acacia flowers, ripe quinces, fresh Moscato and freshly picked figs.
