“Irisse” Vermentino Montecucco DOC 2022 (BIO)
Bright yellow organic Vermentino with a small proportion of Grechetto. The idea came from Maurizio Castelli, who also advises the Barberani winery in Umbria. Maurizio Castelli creates this marvellous white wine from the Tuscan coast from a traditional, local blend based on a historical model and always picks the grapes quite late. The nose has a bright aroma of apple, pear, flint and a certain exoticism. In October 2014, the largest Italian publishing house published its first 550-page "Guida essenziale ai vini d'Italia". Daniele Cernilli, together with a small editorial team and well-known experts, tasted wines from all over Italy and evaluated them according to the internationally proven 100-point system. All wines that score more than 95 points will be converted into "The Guide’s Faces". In the first guide there were 106 wines.
