The grapes for the Vigna Pedale come from vines that are over 30 years old. The vines are planted in a sapling system, which allows only a few grapes per vine. The harvest does not begin until mid-October, which is very unusual for this location so far south. Purple dark red colour. Spicy aroma of cherries, thyme, wild mushrooms and earth, the typical, unadulterated flavour is strong and concentrated with a subtle sweetness. This wine is already a great pleasure today, but still has potential for the coming years. SUPERIORE.DE

The name La Rivetta has become a symbol of an excellent terroir. La Rivetta 120 stands for a special synergy of soil, microclimate and tradition, which is enhanced by 120 days of maturation on the lees. This is reflected in a brilliant yellow colour with a slight greenish tinge and a fine, delicate perlage. The aroma is reminiscent of Granny Smith apples, wisteria and acacia blossom. LARISERVA is a white vinified Lambrusco di Sorbara Spumante and matures for 12 months on the fine lees in pressurised tanks using the Martinotti method (Charmat method). Fine powdery pink colour. Delicate bouquet with pretty floral notes and hints of grapefruit and rhubarb. Soft, drinky and incredibly fresh on the palate, very elegant on the finish with a fine spiciness in the background. La Bella Estate (The Beautiful Summer) is named after a work by Cesare Pavese. Deep golden yellow in colour with an opulent aroma of candied fruit, nutmeg and vanilla. Warm and full on the palate, always emphasising the floral sweetness of the Muscat grape with an optimally balanced acidity.

This Moscato Passito is the result of over 20 years of experience. "Over time," explains the president of the company, Piero Quadrumolo, "we have managed to find an optimal balance with the aim of obtaining an aromatic wine with the clear varietal character of a Moscato that is not too broad or boring and also has good acidity." The grapes are sourced from the walled Grave di Stecca vineyard, the site of the family residence, purchased by Franco in 1991. Super-aromatic and exotically scented, with passion fruit and ripe banana, in the mouth it’s very mineral and earthy, intense and rich but well sculpted. Tropical and spicy, it’s slightly creamy – almost mushroomy – with a lip-smacking saline finish.
