“Vigna Monte Ceriani” Soave DOC 2022
The volcanic soils of Monte di Colognola give Monte Ceriani a mineral framework, a symmetrical matrix of flint and phenol in which the fruit flesh is deeply embedded. White pears, almond cream, white peach and lime. A hint of finely ground pepper. The finest silvery streaks of acidity thread the whole into a glittering carpet of light. Harmonious aroma of citrus fruits, especially grapefruit. Powerful flavour, fresh, long-lasting and accompanied by a wonderful almond/peppery mineral finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"At first the wine smelt a little bit of marzipan and grilled pineapple. It began to build, more and more aromatic. “Irisse” Vermentino Montecucco DOC 2022 (BIO)
Bright yellow organic Vermentino with a small proportion of Grechetto. The idea came from Maurizio Castelli, who also advises the Barberani winery in Umbria. Maurizio Castelli creates this marvellous white wine from the Tuscan coast from a traditional, local blend based on a historical model and always picks the grapes quite late. The nose has a bright aroma of apple, pear, flint and a certain exoticism. “8 1/2” Pecorino Terre di Chieti IGT 2022
Terre di Chieti IGT was created in 1995 when the IGT category was first introduced throughout Italy. It is complemented by the more site-specific title Colline Teatine IGT, which focuses only on the hills around the provincial capital of Chieti. The Pecorino grape variety, which has in the meantime returned strongly to the focus of international wine lovers, thrives particularly well here and produces complex, mineral white wines on the mostly clay and limestone soils.
