“Griesfeld” Lagrein Riserva Alto Adige DOC 2020
The "Griesfeld" site in Neumarkt is one of the best and warmest Lagrein sites in South Tyrol. Strong purple red. Spicy bouquet with hints of blackberry, plum and cherry juice. Firmly packed on the palate, full-bodied with good freshness and primary fruit, vinous and delicately spicy; the warm tannins flank through to the very harmonious and deep final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, intense ruby red. Fine spicy nose, lots of sour cherry and blackberry, a hint of ripe elderflower. On the palate some cardamom, already very open, fresh, juicy, vibrating acidity, ripe tannin, medium finish." Falstaff
"This is spicy and racy with crushed dark berries, toasted cloves and nut shell with moist earth undertones. Medium- to full-bodied, textured and chalky with a racy dark fruited character and hints of dried orange peel at the end. Polished tannins and juicy acidity. Lingering finish." James Suckling

“Essence” Franciacorta Millesimato DOCG 2019 satèn brut
Franciacorta Satèn, made from the best Chardonnay grapes of the vintage, seduces with a complex bouquet of citrus fruit flavours and fresh yeast pastries. Enveloping and creamy on the palate, structured and harmonious, very persistent and with a nutty finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant pale straw yellow with grey reflections and fine perlage. Elegant aroma of sage, mint, citrus zest and a slightly spicy note on the nose. Firm on the palate with a lovely freshness, savoury and a lingering final." Falstaff
"More savory than sweet, the 2019 Brut Satèn Franciacorta Essence opens with a blend of incense and Asian pear aromas. Seductively round yet focused, this flows across the palate with a soothing bead of silken bubbles, giving way to mineral-drench pit fruits and spices. It finishes with admirable length and potent, yet still remarkably fresh, leaving a pretty inner sweetness and mint suggestions to fade. The balance here is lovely." Vinous
"Made from 100% Chardonnay, proof of balance and savoury tension in a memorable vintage. On the nose, notes of white peach, then lemongrass and hawthorn. Salty on the palate, with a fruity, oily finish and convincing persistence." Luca Gardini

“Achilles” Syrah Sicilia Noto DOC 2017
The new red from Zisola is a 100% Syrah in radiant ruby violet. Spicy bouquet with notes of black cherry, cassis, undergrowth and foliage. Juicy, engaging and balsamic on the palate, with prominent tannins and interesting acidity. Subtle hints of cocoa and smoked bacon on the long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Strong ruby red. In the nose of lush raspberries and wild berries, delicate plum, minimal pepper spice, a hint of milk chocolate in the aftertaste. On the palate dense and with grip, juicy and clear on the tongue, exciting course, lingers long." Falstaff
"A relatively new wine, the Zisola 2017 Sicilia Achilles is a pure expression of Syrah. This grape normally delivers especially rich and abundant wines from Sicily; however, this bottle holds back a bit in terms of intensity and concentration. The results are solidly mid-weight, and the wine reveals easy perfumes of dark cherry, cassis, spice and earthy leather. This vintage shows extra roundness and a supple quality to the fruit." Wine Advocate
"The 2017 Syrah Achilles captivates the senses with a beguiling bouquet that mixes black fruits, smoke and pepper with sweet violet and lavender notes. It’s silky and round in feel, balanced by a concentration of tart wild berries, savory herbs and a bitter touch of mocha toward the close. There’s a combination of decadence and contrasting sour citrus tension here that I find quite pleasurable, as the Achilles finishes lightly structured and persistent under an air of tar and tobacco. Nicely done." Vinous

“Caiarossa” Bianco Toscana IGT 2022 (BIO)
The Viognier and Chardonnay vines grow on Caiarossa's most calcareous terroir. The grapes are fermented separately in oak barrels, matured on the lees and blended at the end, with little or no racking in order to produce the wine with as little oxygen contact as possible. The result is a precise and clean white wine that, with its beautiful volume, depth and smoothness with fragrant flavours of flowers and almonds, goes well with a delicate and fragrant pesto. SUPERIORE.DE
"Pale straw yellow with green-yellow reflections. Still shy and reserved on the nose with hints of citrus fruit and melon. More present on the palate, soft, yet with animating acidity, fine fruit melting into the finish." Falstaff
"Sliced pear, yogurt, lemon and flint aromas follow through to a medium body with a solid core of fruit such as Meyer lemons and a fresh finish. Rather spicy at the end." James Suckling

“Selezione Sergio Zenato” Lugana Riserva DOC 2021
Brilliant golden yellow colour. Complex notes of light peach, fresh pineapple and poached apricot on the nose. Rich and creamy on the palate with accents of smoke and toasted almonds. The finish is long-lasting, mineral and herb-accentuated. This very focussed and complex white paints a beautiful portrait of the refined side of the Trebbiano di Lugana grape, which is becoming increasingly popular. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich, bright straw yellow with a golden centre. Complex nose with notes of pickled peach and camomile, delicate smoky notes in the background. Taut on the palate, ripe fruit and crisp acidity, unfortunately a noticeable use of wood on the final, still needs to age." Falstaff
"Aromas of toast and pineapple fruit. The attack is soft and smooth, with a silky texture, a glycerine layer, refreshing acidity and a light to medium body. Cedar that is lean on the finish. Drinkable now, but it has potential for aging." James Suckling
"Rich flavors of toasted hazelnut, patisserie apple and pear, lemon curd and vanilla are chiseled by well-honed acidity and a streak of salinity in this white, which shows focus and tension. Tightly meshed today, this will unfurl nicely with some bottle age or in the glass." Wine Spectator

“Marina Cvetic” (S. Martino Rosso) Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva DOC 2020
Powerful, concentrated Montepulciano with an elegant woody note and multi-layered fruit flavours, true to the terroir and modern. Impressive richness that offers further palate pleasures with every sip. Equally impressive is the long and complex finish. One of the most emphatic Montepulciano wines in the region every year, it requires a little patience, but this is handsomely rewarded. SUPERIORE.DE
"Shiny, dark purple red with a fine rim. Complex, spicy bouquet of juniper berries and black cherry, saddle leather, mocha and some iodine in the finish. Silky and persistent on the tongue, firm tannins, concentrated fruit and dark chocolate." Falstaff
"The 2020 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva San Martino Rosso is a dark, floral wine with a forest-inspired bouquet that blends floral undergrowth with crushed ash stones and dried black cherries. It is round and supple with ripe red and blue fruits accompanied by a hint of pepper. Purple flowers swirl around inside. The wine finishes pleasantly, long and colourful. Strong tannins give it a youthful tension without slowing down the momentum." Vinous
"Complex notes of cocoa, rose petals, mulberries and dried mint on the nose, followed by a layered, full-bodied and meaty palate. The tannins are resolving nicely." James Suckling

“Ginestreto” Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2022
Light ruby colour. Rich bouquet of red cherry, strawberry, chocolate and violet. Generous and lively on the palate of rhubarb, strawberry cake and sour cherry, the fruit is beautifully concentrated and full. The nobly knitted tannin structure leads this multi-layered and very serious Sangiovese into a charming, mineral finish. Every year, Fuligni produces a wine that is outstanding for the appellation and, in terms of style, is an ingenious crossover between tradition and modernity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, sparkling ruby red colour. Very open-hearted nose, juicy cherry fruit, geranium, light spice, some watermelon on the finish. Elegant on the palate with polished tannins, savoury, surprising freshness and juiciness, drinks very well." Falstaff
"Light bricky red. Sweet fruit and sweet oak but also fragrant with wild blossom and a hint of mocha. Complex aroma. Deep, chewy, firmly grained tannins. Masses of integrity and depth of flavour. Bottled a few months ago and still needs more bottle age but has great potential." Jancis Robinson
"Unlike many more powerful, impactful wines in Montalcino, Fuligni’s unfurl with discretion and patience. This is a wonderful entry into the thoroughbred house style. Smooth, suave black cherry and strawberry fruit is framed by freshness and soft but structuring tannins. Ample and ripe, but still with a real sense of poise. The vineyard is named after the ginestra (broom) that grows on this single hectare of 10- to 15-year-old vines." Decanter
"The 2022 Rosso di Montalcino Ginestreto is gorgeous and classic to the house style, with a cascade of dried black cherries, rose petals, cloves and spice, all complicated by hints of flowery undergrowth. It's silken and serene with ripe wild berry fruits and juicy acidity balanced by tactile mineral tones throughout. This finishes staining, long and spicy, yet leaves the mouth watering for more as traces of licorice and clove taper off. Wow." Vinous

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019
Beautiful and very well-balanced red wine from the three main historical areas of Montalcino, which have different geoclimatic characteristics due to their different slopes and altitudes, thus ensuring a unique balance between freshness and structure, body and elegance. Ruby red in colour with garnet hues, it opens immediately with a rich, complex nose. Initially dark cherry, chinotto orange and violet. It then opens up to broader, more complex notes of blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, cinnamon and chocolate with a subtle menthol finish. The primary fruit is surrounded by spice, grilled herbs and floral earth; nice length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red colour. Cherry and tomato leaf on the nose, then a fine leather flavour. Good freshness and juicy fruit on the palate, shows firm body and pressure, accessible, delicately bitter on the final." Falstaff
"Deep ruby red colour. Compact and dense on the nose with notes of sweet raspberries and fresh mint. Lots of sweet raspberry fruit on the palate with a tangy acid nerve that runs through the fullness of the fruit. Firm but ripe and fine-grained tannins. A fairly rich wine, but one that will probably age well." Jancis Robinson
"The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino exudes hints of wild berries, violet pastille and sweet smoke. This is a seductive effort with juicy acidity and vibrant red and blue fruits swirling throughout. Autumnal spices and dark chocolate slowly saturate towards the finish. The 2019 finishes long yet remarkably fresh with a hint of liquorice and slightly grippy tannins. The 2019 aims to please and will provide early satisfaction after a short stay in the cellar while the single-vineyard wines slowly mature." Vinous
"The Brunello from the Val di Suga vineyard is made up of equal parts from the Vigna del Lago vineyard in the north-east, Poggio al Granchio in the south-east and Vigna Spuntali in the south-west of Montalcino. The bright ruby red colour and youthful freshness are well preserved. Concentrated aromas of red cherry with a hint of pepper fade into deep violet and sweet earth. The medium-bodied palate is appealing and pure, offering layers of lush red berry and plump persimmon flavours underscored by juicy acidity. The sandy textured tannins are supple and yielding. Hard to resist." Decanter
"This lively red wine is smooth and harmonious, with strawberry, cherry and blackcurrant fruit flavours underpinned by mineral and wild herbal notes. Dusty tannins give it grip and texture on the finish. Excellent length." Wine Spectator
"A blend of three vineyards belonging to three different sides of the appellation. Durone di Vignola on the nose, a hint of lemon thyme and clementine peel. Juicy on the palate, with a hint of savoury and balsamic notes. Persistent." Luca Gardini

“Effe Emme” Rosso Terre Siciliane IGT 2019
This wine - the name "Effe Emme" stands for the initials of Filippo Mazzei - represents a new chapter for Mazzei's Zisola winery and for all of Sicily. Very few producers on the island make a pure Petit Verdot. The Alberello vines are planted on highly calcareous soils. Effe Emme shows a dark fruit intensity with subtle background notes of chalk and crushed minerals. Powerful and full-bodied on the palate, juicy and firmly structured. Only 4,000 bottles are bottled. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby red. Spicy, dark berry nose with hints of chestnut honey, black tea and some leather. On the palate with elegant, resinous undertones, very polished with lots of juice and slightly salty tannin, spans a great arc, grippy earthy final." Falstaff
"Made with Petit Verdot, the 2019 Sicilia Effe Emme is a very different wine compared to the previous vintage that I tasted at the same time. This expression from 2019 is much richer, with a velvety texture, and it is void of that bitterness we saw in the 2018. Blackcurrant and dried blackberry cede to smoke, tar and exotic spice." Wine Advocate
"Lots of clove and green peppercorn character with blackberries and blackcurrants on the nose and palate. Full-bodied and complex with lots of flavour on the palate and a long, flavourful finish. Shows how well Petit Verdot thrives in Noto." James Suckling

Crisp on the palate, with airy perlage and a clear fruit centre, stretches across the palate with light pressure and shows fine wood spice, balanced in the final." Falstaff

“Turpino” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020 (BIO)
The elegant blend of Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot surprises with its aroma full of purity and intensely aromatic fruit flavour. Elegance and finesse trump muscle in Turpino, a wine that is always light on its feet. Fermentation in wooden barrels and ageing in barriques lend the spicy, balsamic notes of the grape blend a softness, a fine frame and a beguilingly long finish on the palate. With its tangy acidity balancing the ripe fruit, Turpino manages to be generous and restrained at the same time, making it a great accompaniment to Mediterranean meat dishes. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling, dark ruby red colour. Captivating nose with aromas of black cherry, tobacco and ebony, also some iodine. On the palate, with a good length, young but fine tannins, lots of chocolate, still needs time, lots of potential." Falstaff
"Infused with plum, cherry and blackberry fruit, this well-balanced red wine is soft in texture. Hints of Mediterranean scrub, iron, earth and tobacco complete the flavour profile. The finish is fresh and long." Wine Spectator
"Lots of black liquorice and aniseed with blackberries and blueberries. Medium-bodied with very refined and polished tannins that run the length of the wine. Crisp, firm and juicy. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot. Needs time to mellow, but is very nice." James Suckling
"The Turpino 2020, which I tasted from the barrel last year, has developed wonderfully. The 2020 is rich, multi-layered and expansive and captivates from the very first sip. The blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Merlot is very well done. The Syrah contains some whole bunches (50%), another good choice that works very well. All the elements are very harmonious. This is another fabulous wine from Querciabella." Vinous

“Don Antonio” Nero d’Avola Riserva Sicilia DOC 2020
Don Antonio Riserva is the best selection from the Morgante vineyards, where only Nero d'Avola grows. Concentrated and hauntingaromas, very typical of the variety, ripe fruit accompanied by mineral and balsamic notes. Lively and elegant on the palate. The flagship of the winery and a prime example of the "Taste of Sicily". SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby red with purple reflections. Dense and dark on the nose, of sweet black cherry, dark chocolate, liquorice, toast and bacon. With sweet, savoury fruit on the palate, powerful and with a lot of pressure, on tightly woven tannins, with a long finish." Falstaff
"Intense ripe dark fruits mixed with leather flavours, powerful and bright with a sweet, oaky finish." Decanter
"The 2020 Nero d'Avola Riserva Don Antonio rises from the glass with a mentholated blend of grilled herbs, dried black cherries and balsamic spice. This is an elegant and refined wine with a polished wave of ripe red and blue fruit accented by hints of spiced orange. Fine-grained tannins rise towards the finish, leaving it long and structured, yet remarkably fresh. Notes of cherry and dark chocolate linger on the final. The 2020 is a fantastic edition of the Don Antonio with a perfectly integrated hint of new oak. It should only need a short stay in the cellar before it reaches a long and wide drinking window." Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019 (BIO)
Camigliano's Brunello di Montalcino 2019 shows impressive balance and integrity. It contrasts the delicate sweetness of the fruit beautifully with the ethereal and liquorice-like aromas that simply come automatically to Sangiovese when it is grown on the south side of the spectacular Montalcino appellation. Blood orange, redcurrant and wild blueberry on the nose, with a hint of salt and herbaceous notes in the background. On the palate, it impresses with its balanced intensity and lively tannins. The harmonious, very juicy finish surprises with playful notes of warm cherry sweetness, the footprint of Camigliano's wine identity, complemented by a fine mineral vein. This is a highly respectable Camigliano wine from a wonderful vintage, in which the winery is able to fully capitalise on the perfect climate of the vintage. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino exudes a pretty bouquet of dried roses and strawberries accompanied by Tuscan dust. It is silky-smooth and polished, with ripe red berries flowing over a stream of vibrant acidity. Orange and cedar notes linger as the 2019 finishes with soft tannins and a pleasantly bitter note." Vinous
"Layers of juicy red cherries, spice and woody aromas, filled with dark red fruits and firm tannin." Decanter
"Lots of dried fruit, such as figs, dried plums and savoury herbs, followed by lingering dried meat notes and sweet and sour undertones. Medium-bodied with polished tannins. A slightly nutty aftertaste." James Suckling
"The Camigliano 2019 Brunello di Montalcino offers a combination of dark fruits, ripe blackberries and roasted cardamom or cumin from 24 months of ageing in large oak barrels. This organically grown wine shows a rich concentration and oak-driven intensity that fits into the context of classic Brunello. Ultimately, the wine reflects a warm growing area with a mixture of clay, sand and rocky soils. It offers a light texture on the mid-palate with chalky tannins." Wine Advocate
"The fruit is rather dark for the vintage, reminiscent of black cherry, blackberry and dark plum, while earth and wild herb accents add detail. Tightly woven tannins mingle quickly and leave a compact, powdery sensation on the finish." Wine Spectator
"The beautiful label of a sustainable project, that of the Ghezzi family, which focuses on the manic care of farm labour. Notes of wild strawberries on the nose, a hint of rosehip and ginger, then lemon sage. Iodised, salty tannins on the palate, with floral notes." Luca Gardini

“Misco” Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva DOC 2018
Tavignano's complex top product Misco Riserva represents the synthesis of the winery's Verdicchio expertise and is its most refined interpretation of the terroir. Starting with the grapes from the Cru Misco vineyard, those grapes are selected that can best develop first in steel and then in the bottle. This ageing process emphasises the richness of the grape variety, its spicy and mineral notes and provides the ideal conditions for long ageing, while retaining its aromatic vibrancy at all times. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, radiant straw yellow colour. Sea salt, raspberries, pineapple, juicy pear and candied lemon zest on the nose with a hint of spice. Opens up on the palate with great playfulness, savoury and clear, appears very noble, lingers long and polished on the final." Falstaff
"Rich notes of baked apricot and toasted almond are enlivened by bright, lemony acidity, with hints of pink grapefruit zest and grated ginger to create a fine, focused interplay on the creamy palate of this vivid white. Milled white pepper, dried herbs and stony mineral notes linger on the mouthwatering finish." Wine Spectator
"Ripe and seductive with some phenols and a hint of honey on the nose and palate. Rich and round with good acidity and freshness. Impressive length and intensity." Decanter
"The Verdicchio dei Castello di Jesi Riserva Misco 2018 holds its power in reserve, displaying a delicate but layered and sweetly scented bouquet that blends white smoke with pretty flowers, chamomile, cardamom and melon. Its weighty, almost oily texture is balanced by a core of bright acidity, where lemon zest combines with green apple and a hint of ginger to create a satisfying and savoury experience. For all the depth and character the Riserva shows today, the best is yet to come. The finish is long and tense, but still leaves you wanting more, along with that textbook almond bitterness that goes on and on. Brava." Vinous

“Villa Gresti di San Leonardo” Rosso Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2020
Villa Gresti is an exciting cuvée of Merlot and Carménère that represents a very nice balance between fruit intensity, spice, ripe cherry and sweet tobacco. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a softness and a very attractive, drinkystyle and a rich, fruit-accentuated finish. Classic Bordeaux style. SUPERIORE.DE
"Medium garnet red colour with slightly limited transparency and an orange rim. Elegant nose of cherries, blackberries, wild berries and beetroot, underlaid with thyme and leather. Fresh and juicy on the palate with good balance, round and fine-grained tannins and a herbaceous final." Falstaff
"The 2020 Villa Gresti di San Leonardo enchants with a beguiling bouquet that mingles pine shavings with incense, white pepper and wild blueberries. It is a model of purity, with silky textures and medium body weight, while a wave of ripe red and blue fruit swirls over a stream of cooling acidity. The finish is exceptionally long yet fresh and lively. A hint of sour citrus and slightly grippy tannins punctuate beautifully. The 2020 is a profoundly elegant yet savoury vintage from Ville Gresti. I love it." Vinous
"Stemy herbs, tea leaves, white pepper and dried lychees on the nose. Also a hint of charcoal. Juicy and round on the palate, with silky tannins and a herbal, peppery finish. An effortlessly drinkable red wine with excellent acidity." James Suckling

“Praesulis” Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC 2021
Praesulis Pinot Noir is the latest addition to Markus Prackwieser's wine family. Gentle, bright ruby red colour with a delicately brightening rim. The nose is characterised by appealing wild berries, blood orange and fresh cherries, followed by fine creamy notes and a toasted undertone. Juicy on the palate, with fresh, very well-integrated tannins and a fine salty flavour, very harmonious on the finish with a subtle mountain spice aftertaste. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich, shiny garnet with ruby red nuances. Elegant and inviting on the nose with precise fruit, slightly chilled wood, hibiscus, a hint of nutmeg. Present on the palate with beautiful tension and fine-grained tannins, again precise fruit, persistent, very successful." Falstaff
"The 2021 Pinot Noir Praesulis blossoms in the glass with a bouquet of dusty roses and smoky wild berries. On the palate, it unfolds a silky texture with salty minerals and tart red and black fruits, accompanied by a lively acidity. The 2021 creates tension and finishes long and gently tannic with a spicy aftertaste." Vinous

Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG 2019 (BIO)
Deep, bright ruby red colour. Stunning aromas of floral dark berries, flint and attractive aromatic spices. Then fresh and juicy, but with a creeping concentration of blue and black fruit flavours, lifted by a zesty minerality and lively, harmonious acidity. The spicy, long finish is reminiscent of cloves, black pepper and coriander. A great wine, and we know now at the latest: The Catania family has a real knack for Cerasuolo di Vittoria. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with a brightening rim. On the nose, wild berries, cinnamon, fresh raspberries, a hint of blood orange, rosehip, cold smoke. The palate is sweet and melting, with crisp, racy acidity, very precise and fragrant, with floral hints and a salty, lively acidity on the finish, exciting!" Falstaff
"The organic Gulfi 2019 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico shows a medium dark appearance with a hint more concentration that you might normally expect of this appellation. Indeed, the 2019 vintage shows more richness overall. This wine is ripe and amply framed by ripe cherry, dark plum and dried blueberry skins." Wine Advocate
"Aromas of crushed black cherry, plum, fig, leather and rosemary. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, silky tannins. Nice tension and clarity here. Juicy red fruit with some black-tea character. Succulent and very tasty." James Suckling
"Dark and moody in the glass, the 2019 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico lifts up with a blend of mentholated herbs and medicinal blackberry offset by balsamic spice. This is zesty and energetic, yet still quite potent, with a mass of tart wild berry fruits motivated by saline-tinged acidity. It finishes long, leaving a pretty inner sweetness and violet florals. Black raspberry traces slowly fade. The 2019 is a robust Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico that drinks beautifully now yet should also mature well over the next five to eight years." Vinous

Barbaresco “Spezie” Riserva DOCG 2015
The Nebbiolo grapes for this archetypal Barbaresco come from marl soils at an altitude of about 250 metres. After two years of ageing in large wood and a further 6-7 (!) years of bottle maturity, here comes a wine on the market which, with its perfectly matured tannins and fine sweet melting, is already giving even the most impatient Nebbiolo fan a lot of pleasure.
Ruby red with garnet reflections, convincing, spicy bouquet of violets, moss, rose petals and small red fruits. Nice pressure on the palate, yet open-hearted, fresh and full-bodied, with well-dosed extract-sweet notes of maraschino cherry and a beautiful fruit that promises another great future in combination with the fine-meshed tannin. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich bright cherry red with dark reflections. Inviting bouquet of juicy wild raspberries, blackberries, also something of cardamom and delicate bourbon vanilla. Pleasant on the nose, winds gracefully through the palate, powerful in body with a sparse structure, yet clear, goes into the lingering final with good pressure." Falstaff
"Lustrous maturing ruby with orange tinges. Sweetly scented ripe cherry nose with the merest suggestion of fruit cake and hugely appealing. A succulent mouthful of marasca-cherry fruit with coating tannins. Long, concentrated and highly enjoyable and still not at its peak." Jancis Robinson
"Rich and broad with a fleshy opulence to the wine. Blackberries touched by truffle oil, smoked meats, and dried herb perfume." Decanter
"A solid 2015 Barbaresco with spice, cedar and plum character. Full body, lots of fruit and chewy tannins. This needs time to soften and come together." James Suckling

“Valmaggiore” Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC 2022
This Nebbiolo comes from one of the best vineyards in the Roero and is vinified by Luciano Sandrone with the same care as a Barolo. Brilliant ruby-garnet colour. Wonderful aroma of light red fruit, mainly raspberry and cherry. Earthy on the palate with a lovely strawberry touch and an incredible amount of elegance. The fine-grained tannins are wonderfully integrated and, together with a subtle minerality, give this Nebbiolo a race, depth and finesse that is unrivalled. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, shiny ruby red with a subtly brightening rim. Subtle nose, a potpourri of watermelon, oranges and rose hips, light spice on the finish. On the palate with a polished fruit core and great juiciness, comes in several waves, savoury, radiant, drinks very well." Falstaff
"Very restrained on the nose, with liquorice, smoky forest notes and dried and ripe cherries. Firm tannins, somewhat dusty on the mid-palate, with refreshing acidity, a medium body and good fruit concentration." James Suckling
