“Vigna Pedale” Castel del Monte Riserva DOCG 2016 · MAGNUM in OWC
The grapes for the Vigna Pedale come from vines that are over 30 years old. The vines are planted in a sapling system, which allows only a few grapes per vine. The harvest does not begin until mid-October, which is very unusual for this location so far south. Purple dark red colour. Spicy aroma of cherries, thyme, wild mushrooms and earth, the typical, unadulterated flavour is strong and concentrated with a subtle sweetness. Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2020 (BIO)
Querciabella's Riserva, with an annual production of 10,000 bottles, is a selection of the best lots. It blends fruit from Greve, where the vineyards lie between 350 and 550 metres above sea level, with grapes from the stony high altitudes of Radda and the chalky soils of Gaiole. Tantalising aromas of spring flowers, cranberries and potting soil are accompanied by vanilla and smoke. On the palate, it is polished and pure, with a delicious, tangy acidity and sinewy tannins. Antonio Bragato, born in Germany but with an absolute Friulian identity, joined forces 20 years ago with Gianni Maccari, who was cellar master at Livio Felluga for many years and founded his own winery Ronco della Rocca at the beginning of the millennium. Maccari, who has a degree in agronomy and Oenologist, is considered one of the best-trained viticultural experts in Friuli. The profound knowledge of his own 12 hectares of vineyards as well as the leased plots and the radical precision in the execution of every operation characterise the clear style and the reliable quality of the wines that Antonio Bragato creates there together with him.
From the 2019 vintage, Antonio Bragato's wine experiment enters a new era. Since then, the team has relied on an even more rigorous selection of the oldest vines from the coolest and best sites. The results of the "New Edition" can truly be seen and tasted. They are even more radical in complexity and finesse. We are pleased to be able to offer our customers the smallest editions of these wines, which confirm the many years of work and experience of the two quality fanatics!
The vines from which the Chardonnay grapes for Rio delle Rose come are over 80 years old. Fine, exotic and noticeably mineral bouquet of pome fruit, apple, citrus peel, white flowers, some flint and a hint of banana and pineapple. On the palate driven forward, with nice pressure and juicy draw, then as it progresses this fine minerality again and in the long, complex finish a very delicate, never-ending melt. Very balanced and big - with its subtle restraint and great personality, Rio delle Rose is for us one of the best Chardonnays from Friuli! SUPERIORE.DE

Amaro “Quintessentia di Erbe 24 mesi” Riserva
In memory of grandfather Antonio, the Nonino family celebrates a return to its origins with Amaro Nonino Quintessentia by creating a Riserva for the first time in 2021, which undergoes more than 24 months of natural ageing in oak barriques and small casks. Antonio Nonino, the third generation of the distiller family, used to store Amaro Carnia in small wooden barrels; steel was prohibitively expensive at the time. Through contact with the oak, the liqueur was enriched with new notes and aromas. Although there are no clear regulations for the maturation of liqueurs, in line with the Nonino philosophy, maturation takes place in the dedicated cellar, sealed and under constant supervision by the customs and monopoly office.
The result is extraordinary: Quintessentia becomes softer, the citrus notes move into the background and it gains elegance, which is expressed in numerous subtle and warm notes. At the beginning, there are autumnal scents of brushwood and moss that give way to the scent of sultanas and passito. There are also balsamic hints, the scent of flamed orange and caramelised vanilla and great persistence and intensity. SUPERIORE.DE
