Chianti Classico DOCG 2022
Blackberries, raspberries, tomato leaves, lemon peel and bark on the nose. Also some tar and crushed stones. Medium-bodied with fine, slightly chunky tannins. Beautiful character of rose petals. Fresh and mineral on the finish, very successful! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with violet reflections. Youthful nose of raspberry, cassis and mint, with a tobacco and smoky aftertaste. Surprisingly dense on the palate with chocolaty nuances, juicy, pleasant tannins, persistent fruit." Falstaff
"Brilliant carmine red colour. Concentrated and deep cherry nose and luscious, tangy cherry palate, with a helping of firm tannins on the finish to give grip. Immediately, a little rich and delicious. Just a tiny bit of spiciness on the finish." Jancis Robinson
"Here is an easy-drinking entry-level wine from a winery that maintains a classic approach to all of its fine wines. The Castello di Monsanto 2022 Chianti Classico offers very bright and vibrant fruit with forest-fresh raspberries and blueberries giving this wine a particularly charming profile. It shows a primary intensity with sweet fruit and without being affected by excessive ageing." Wine Advocate
"The Chianti Classico 2022 is forward, juicy and very easy to like. A burst of dark red fruit, spice, cedar and leather makes a strong statement at the start. Although the 2022 doesn't offer the nuance of most vintages, it makes up for it with its charming, inviting personality." Vinous
"Ripe and juicy, this red wine begins with flavours of cherries, raspberries and flowers, underlined by iron and wild undergrowth. It firms up on the finish and shows a pleasant astringency." Wine Spectator
"The youthful violet colour suggests a healthy dash of Colorino. Deep red cherries and wild strawberries are infused with fragrant Mediterranean herbs and a distinct note of orange blossom. The palate is richly filled with tangy, tart berries infused with light, grainy tannins that add nuance to the texture. A hint of pepper and a savoury saltiness whet the appetite." Decanter
"Fresh, racy strawberries, red cherries and a hint of pastry and pomegranates on the nose. On the palate, it is firm and expressive, with beautifully chewy tannins and a medium body. Plenty of berry fruit in its elegant, long finish. Drink now or keep." James Suckling
"A cornerstone of the Classico, a label with precise and impeccable workmanship. On the nose, red mulberry, hints of rhubarb and eucalyptus, with a touch of black pepper. The mouthfeel is intense, with ionised tannins. Closes with a hint of undergrowth and balsamic notes. Great length." Luca Gardini

“San Greg” Rosato Campania IGT 2023
Feudi's new premium Rosato San Greg flows from the glass with a beautiful blend of sweet melon and white flowers. It presents a beguiling balance of ripe stone fruit, candied citrus and a cooling acidity. The finish is of medium length and leaves a tart hint of lime and steely mineral notes. Made from 100% Aglianico, San Greg is a very sophisticated rosé and an absolute delight. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, pale pink with a sparkling centre. On the nose with notes of vanilla and some blood orange, then white pepper. Fresh on the palate, with light pressure and delicate tannins, somewhat narrow fruit, but good drinking flow." Falstaff

“Nodi” Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG 2020 brut
When Nino Franco discovered the Col del Vent vineyard in 2014, it was like a step back in time for him. He realised that the tiny plot above Valdobbiadene was home to 100-year-old vines of Glera biotypes that had long since been replaced by modern clonal selections in the region and were in an excellent state of health. The following year, with the help of Marco Simonit, a master of pruning (consultant to Yquem, Latour and Roederer), he produced the first wine from this vineyard. He called it Nodi (knot) in reference to the gnarled trunks of the old vines.
The noble Nodi impresses with its elegance and finesse and is always sold a good two years later. Delicate aromas of wisteria, flint and roses, with fruity notes of pear, gooseberry and lime. A fine, subtle perlage on the palate, with fresh notes of lime, peach and white fruit in combination with well-balanced acidity for a zesty and crisp flavour experience. For us, the perfect aperitif and, with just 6g of residual sugar, the first choice as an accompaniment to seafood. SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense, radiant straw yellow with a persistent, fine-grained perlage. Hints of white pepper, nutmeg, candied fruit and floral notes on the nose. On the palate with mouth-filling mousseux, electrifying acidity and a gentle lingering finish." Falstaff
"It shows a ripe character with notes of apple jam, dried orange peel and bread crust. Medium-bodied with crisp acidity and fine bubbles. It has a silky texture and a flavourful finish with a mineral note." James Suckling

Rosato Toscana IGT 2023 (BIO)
Delicate salmon pink colour. Fresh and subtle raspberry nose with a hint of pomegranate. Clean and precise flavour with fine acidity and subtle hints of red berries and some crisp Braeburn apple. The finish is long and supple - and again with a fine acid wire acidity that only Sean O'Callaghan can bring to the glass. An indispensable companion for happy and carefree days. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright salmon colour, sparkling. Very fragrant nose of fresh peach, white flowers, some cherry fruit, underpinned by light spice. Very juicy on the palate, clear, with a cool fruit centre, well-integrated acidity, delicately dancing, pure." Falstaff
"The 2023 Rosato is a 100% Sangiovese from vines that were harvested a few weeks before the harvest during a final thinning. The 2023 is layered and vibrant, with great depth and offers lovely complexity and character. This is another excellent entry-level wine from Tenuta di Carleone." Vinous
"Here is a crisp, saline and succulent rosé with forest berries, apricot skin and mild spices on the nose, following through to a medium body with bright acidity. Refreshing, balanced and textured, with an attractive, mouthwatering finish." James Suckling

“Mare Antico” Orvieto Classico Superiore DOC 2022
The name Mare Antico (ancient sea) is a tribute to the marine fossils and shells found in the soils of Orvieto. It is a beautiful blend of 55% Grechetto, 20% Vermentino, 20% Chardonnay and 5% Procanico and is the house's flagship wine every year.
Mare Antico blows like a cool breeze from a mountain top, mixing crushed rock with raw almonds, a hint of sage, ginger and flint in its interesting bouquet. It flows across the palate with skilful ease, long and citrusy. It also has a lovely inner sweetness contrasted by candied lime and salty minerals. Finishes structured and crisp, with a crisp green apple and residual acidity that begs for the next sip. The complexity of this wine is unrivalled, coupled with an overwhelming balance. Mare Antico is beautiful today, but also has a great future. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, light golden yellow with slightly greenish nuances. Shy on the nose, with hints of lime, followed by subtle meadow herbs. Creamy texture on the palate with a fine fruit melt, pleasantly juicy with medium length." Falstaff
"The Orvieto Classico Superiore Mare Antico 2022 is unobtrusive and delicate in the glass, it smells of flint, white smoke and sliced pears. It is pleasantly round and supple, with a hint of salty minerals that create remarkable contrasts. Ripe fruit flavours swirl throughout the wine and are supported by a zesty acidity. The finish is long and slightly tannic, leaving a youthful tension and a hint of bitter lemon that tantalises the cheeks. The 2022 may be a little behind today, but it is designed for long and fruity ageing." Vinous

“Scalabrone” Rosato Bolgheri DOC 2023
Scalabrone presents itself generously every year, but also incredibly fresh. It shows ripe strawberries with a hint of sweet cream, tropical kiwi and lime. It washes over the palate with lightness, carrying ripe red fruit, a hint of melon and a savoury minerality. The finish is long and flanked by lively acidity and salty minerals. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah is perfectly balanced and makes this flavoursome rosato one of the most vibrant in the appellation every year. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark sparkling pink. Opens invitingly to raspberries and juicy sour cherries, underpinned by the scent of violets. Very fresh on the palate, dense fruit core, compact and juicy through to the medium-long finish." Falstaff
"Before the advent of the famed reds of the area, the first officially established DOCs in Bolgheri were based on white and rosé wines, and Antinori's 'Scalabrone' was one of the first wines to be bottled under the DOC Bolgheri Rosato. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a tiny portion of Syrah produce a delightful rosé with a Mediterranean touch. Bright pink at the core with a pale reflection, lovely bouquet of cherries and wild berries with a rose petal hint, then a fruity palate with lively acidity and a pleasant finish." Decanter
"The 2023 Rosato Scalabrone from Bolgheri shines almost neon pink in the glass. The seriousness of the aromas and flavours belies the cheerful colour - it is multi-layered and complex. Blood orange, paprika, bergamot, stemmed herbs, forest floor and a hint of earthiness lend it many nuances. The tangy, electric acidity immediately flows over the palate and gives it brightness and vigour. The finish is long and clean, culminating in a hint of sweet red cherry and a welcome touch of ripeness. This wine is suitable both as an aperitif and for dinner." Vinous

Medium, bright ruby red colour. The bouquet and flavour are dominated by interesting notes of fresh cut flowers, sweet red berries, liquorice, mint, pine and cedar wood. As the wine progresses, the Chianti Classico reveals a marvellous precision and spiciness, which is enveloped by a well-measured extract sweetness. The overall impression is one of grace and an open-hearted style, which impresses with all its components and not least with its typical Radda Sangiovese freshness from the high altitudes of the Chianti Classico. Rosé Valle d’Aosta DOP 2023
Just 6,000 bottles of this extremely delicious and complex rosato made from Pinot Nero and the indigenous Petit Rouge grape variety from vineyards in the municipalities of Aymavilles and Gressan are produced every year. The grapes from these predominantly south-facing vineyards have always been used exclusively for the production of the famous Torrette.
Brilliant, pale old rose colour. Delicate, floral and fruity on the nose with clear notes of strawberry and redcurrant. Fresh and taut on the palate with notes of white peach, a fine structure, mineral acidity and a fresh, spicy finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright peach-pink colour with a sparkling core. Very fruity nose of rich plums, cherries, then some marzipan in the aftertaste. Chianti Classico DOCG 2022
Open-hearted, very appealing bouquet of tart berry fruit, forest floor, bitter almond, blue flowers and grilled herbs. The palate has the typical Sangiovese profile of bright red berries, with wonderfully integrated acidity and freshness. A classic from Castellina in Chianti, rich in finesse every year and unbeatable with white meat dishes and sugos. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, shiny ruby colour with a brightening rim. Pronounced, savoury bouquet of fully ripe cherry, black pepper, a hint of coffee and rose petal. Velvety tannins on the palate, fresh fruit, lively acidity and a persistent finish." Falstaff
"The Mazzei 2022 Chianti Classico Fonterutoli is always a solid choice on the wine list, offering fresh cherries and blueberries along with varietal tones of sweet earth and orris root. The wine is 90% Sangiovese with smaller proportions of Malvasia Nera and Colorino. It matures for 12 months in oak. This medium-bodied red wine shows good intensity and silky tannins." Wine Advocate
"The 2022 Chianti Classico Fonterutoli is a great, elegant wine - one of the best 2022s I've tasted. Silky, layered and super-expressive, it's class from start to finish. The ripeness of the year is evident, but the 2022 retains a good amount of freshness to play off its overt dark red/purple-coloured fruit. It is impeccably made." Vinous
"A lively, juicy and composed Chianti Classico with aromas of wild berries, dried flowers, thyme and warm spices with a slightly dry tone. It is medium-bodied with fine tannins and fresh acidity. Bright and agile, with a lively centre on the palate and a tactile, driving finish." James Suckling

“Saia” Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC 2021 (BIO)
The pure Nero d'Avola is bursting with dark aromas of berries, black cherry, liquorice and tobacco. Lush and distinctive on the palate with wonderful spicy notes of mint, aniseed and espresso. Juicy tannins, good length, fine pressure. A really great wine of impressive intensity at a still very reasonable price, incidentally certified organic since the 2020 vintage! SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby red with violet edges. Fine spicy notes on the nose, ripe plum and forest floor. Balanced on the palate with a fine tannin structure, fresh and fruity core, medium length." Falstaff
"The Saia 2021 exudes a captivating blend of crushed violets, lavender, blackberries and wet stones. A powerful core of ripe red and blue fruits forms the framework, while a juicy acidity provides freshness. A pleasantly bitter hint of tangerine develops towards the end. The 2021 is spotty and long, finishing with a layer of fine tannins and a saturation of primary concentration that creates a slight chewy sensation towards the end. This is a fantastic and energetic interpretation of Saia, a Nero d'Avola grape variety that I suspect will age very well." Vinous
"Lots of blackberries, mushrooms, bark and a hint of pumice. A hint of smoke. Mussel shells. Blue fruits. Medium-bodied with fine and silky tannins that add tension and focus. Black fruits on the finish with a hint of orange peel. Crisp and fruity with structure." James Suckling

"The 2018 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Centovie rises from the glass with a wild and exotic blend of crushed rose petals, sweet herbs, wet stone and strawberries. It fills the palate with a soft, almost fleshy texture held together by a lively acidity that enlivens the tart wild berries within. The 2018 is long-lasting, just lightly textured with a hint of sour citrus that contrasts nicely." Vinous
"This is an organic wine whose fruit comes exclusively from the Umani Ronchi vineyards. The 2018 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Centovie represents some of the fruit from two hills facing each other. “Is Solinas” Carignano del Sulcis Riserva DOC 2020
The barrique-aged Is Solinas, which was vinified for the first time as a Riserva from 100% Carignano in the 2014 vintage, is remarkable. Deep red in colour, an independent, delicately spicy bouquet, hints of red fruit and balsamic notes. The palate reveals an astonishing fullness of extract, dense, soft, harmonious, complex and long-lasting. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, ruby-red centre with a brightening rim. Warm and inviting on the nose with savoury fruit of plums and cranberries, plus black olive paste. The fruit also takes centre stage on the palate, with firm tannins, juicy and fresh through to the finish." Falstaff
"Lively and silky, this juicy red reveals a beam of raspberry coulis flavours. Finely balanced, with good weight and focus on the palate, yet light on its feet. It offers an underpinning of fresh loamy earth and details of dried lavender, milk chocolate, ground aniseed and pepper that add complexity and linger on the finish." Wine Spectator

Sangiovese in its purest form: bright ruby colour with a broad garnet rim. Rich in fruity and floral aromas, multi-layered, herbal, deep and well-polished with further development potential. A full-bodied and harmonious Chianti Classico with a highly authentic and very inviting style. SUPERIORE.DE
"Walking a fine line between cherry and berry flavours and notes of earth and iron, this red wine is bright and juicy in the middle of the palate and firms up on the long finish. Balanced overall, it needs a year to come together." Wine Spectator
"At the south-eastern end of the Chianti Classico, the Fèlsina vineyard extends into the Chianti Colli Senesi area, where on a clear day you can see as far as Siena, just 15 kilometres away. In its sun-drenched surroundings, the 2022 is immediate and exuberant in its charm. Reminiscent of maritime pine, Mediterranean scrub and wild yellow broom, it gains concentration as it glides smoothly across the palate, where stony minerals meet ripe strawberries. Lively, if a little lively on the finish." Decanter
"The Chianti Classico Berardenga 2022 is magnificent. Rich and deep, the 2022 is an archetype of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Black cherry, leather, spice, tobacco, menthol and dried herbs characterise this powerful, classic Chianti Classico. It is beautifully made, especially for this year." Vinous
"A balanced, seductive and lively red wine with flavours of wild berries, red currants, warm herbs and some crushed peppercorns. It is medium-bodied with fine tannins. A juicy berry character with a hint of spice brings energy and vitality to the palate and tactile finish." James Suckling

“Montebruna” Barbera d’Asti DOCG 2021
Fantastic Barbera from a world-famous vineyard, complex aromas of dark red, plump, juicy cherries, the finest spices and black forest berries on the nose. In the mouth, polished, dense, enormous amounts of glycerine and sweetish fruit, present but silky tannins, finely enveloped by the fruit, rich in finesse, persistent, first-class acidity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Clear, firm, slightly tobacco-like, delicately smoky and ethereal aroma of ripe red and black berries with cherry nuances, dried floral tones and restrained woody spice. Polished, juicy, rather tart, ripe fruit, very fine, youthful tannin and delicate bite, persistent on the palate, herbal-ethereal spice and a hint of pepper, persistent on the palate, certain alcohol warmth, but still elegance, salt in the background, smoky nuances and a hint of dark chocolate and coffee, very good, again polished, juicy and finely spicy finish with clear ethereality." Wein-Plus
"Shimmering ruby red with violet reflections. Plum, blackberry and liquorice on the nose, with a hint of sealing wax on the finish. Dancing acidity on the palate, paired with youthful tannins and rich plum fruit, warming alcohol." Falstaff
"Attractive, chocolaty character with ripe dark cherries, red plums and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, creamy and smooth, with a velvety texture. Long-lasting and beautifully fruity." James Suckling
"An ecstatic wine that leaps from the glass with the speed of an Olympic sprinter. Vibrant aromas of sliced Bing cherries, crushed raspberries, wild roses and a hint of bay leaf dominate the nose. A delicious freshness unfolds on the palate with a blend of red berries that shine as brightly as if they had just been picked. Subtle earthy notes balance the wine on the crisp and lively finish." “Il Randagio” Rosso Toscana IGT 2022
Il Randagio (the stray) is wonderfully complex and nuanced. Initially quite closed, the delicately spicy nose creeps up with increasing aeration and opens further into a wonderfully complex bouquet of dark red to black berries. Rising floral, savoury and spicy accents point to a wine that says more about the style of the house than anything else. The palate is wide-ranging with delicate wild berry flavours, perfectly polished tannins and a fresh, very invigorating acid wire that uninhibitedly enhances the drinkability of this once again typically different red. The best days of this wine still lie in the future. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling ruby with violet shimmer. Opens with notes of dark smoke, then lots of blackberry and elderberry. Firm tannins, spicy and savoury, crisp fruit, still a little rough on the final." Falstaff
"A very juicy and drinkable Toscana, with fresh red berries, cherries, chopped herbs and subtle dark earth funk to encourage drinking. Fluid and bright, with lively strawberry fruit and chunky tannins. Firm, juicy and quite relaxed." James Suckling
"The 2022 Il Randagio, a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, is fabulous. Bright acids and floral nuances adorn this exquisite, nuanced red wine. The 2022 spent four months on the skins in cement tanks and open vats. Above all, the freshness and purity of this wine stand out. What a great wine this is." Vinous
"The Tenuta di Carleone 2022 Il Randagio is a blend of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc and comes in a screw-top bottle with a drawing of a one-eyed bulldog on the label, which is surely the alter ego of Sean O'Callaghan. He experiments with long maceration times and alternative cement containers. There's a lot of creative spirit in a wine like this, which reveals fresh, bright berry tones. The style is full of energy. This is a good value red wine that I'm happy to recommend, especially if you're looking for a casual but spirited expression." Wine Advocate

Eisacktaler Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC 2022
The history of the sophisticated Gewürztraminer goes back to the early Middle Ages. The autochthonous grape variety thrives best on airy slopes between 250 and 450 m on clay and sandy soils with plenty of sunlight. And then the wine can be as convincing as this one: straw yellow with pale green reflections, with a distinctive bouquet of roses, some clove and vanilla and an independent character on the palate. A Gewürztraminer with support in the body, with a lot of elegance and harmony and a very well-crafted finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling golden yellow. Intense, aromatic nose, lots of ripe fruit exoticism, lychee and pineapple, rose petals and vanilla. Punchy and full-bodied on the palate, creamy texture, pleasantly warming, moderate acidity, mouthwatering, medium-long final." Falstaff

“Trentasei” Metodo Classico Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2015 brut
This sparkling wine is named after the minimum 36 months of bottle fermentation it has to undergo. The result is impressive: light ruby red with garnet reflections. Sour cherry, blackcurrant and wild rose on the nose, rounded off with candied cherry and traces of light smoke. On the palate, it is powerful, complex, round and creamy in texture, with well-dosed candied fruit, juicy, clear and with a full-bodied, long finish. Trentasei combines the tradition of the region with a visionary reinterpretation of a Sorbara sparkling wine that remains in the memory even after the bottle has been emptied far too quickly. SUPERIORE.DE
"Delicate cherry red with pink reflections. The nose has hints of wild berries and caramelised rhubarb. Some marzipan and white pepper on the finish. Surprisingly sweet and fruity on the palate with lively acidity. Great fun." Falstaff
"In a delightful strawberry-red hue, this wine exudes wild raspberry aromas, hints of dried leaves, and warmed rosebud jam. Its light and zippy palate offers crushed currant and sour cherry flavors, culminating in an intriguing savory finish that lingers and requests a board of salumi or cured meat." Wine Enthusiast
"The 2015 Brut Metodo Classico Lambrusco di Sorbara Trentasei is a deep translucent red with a seductive bouquet that blends sweet spices with violet florals and wild strawberries. It’s soothingly round with a silken bead of fine bubbles and crisp orchard fruits, as hints of candied citrus add lovely contrast toward the close. The 2015 tapers off on a note of refinement, classically dry and crisp, as the slight hint of sour cherry slowly fades. This is next-level Lambrusco." Vinous

“Pianvecchio” Bianco Toscana IGT 2021
"1,500 bottles and a destination yet to be determined - maybe it will be a wine just for friends." Thank you, dear Sean, for letting us be one of your friends!
Exciting, balsamic, white cuvée of Vermentino, Trebbiano and Malvasia - with a handful of Traminer and Riesling. Reductive in the nose at first, then dark yellow fruits, some smoke. In the mouth, very direct, straightforward and grippingly mineral, with crisp acidity, citrus zest and a fine-juicy yellow fruit. It lingers long in the mouth and, with its race and alpine freshness, makes you forget for a moment that this unadorned and very concise white comes from Tuscany. SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense, bright straw yellow. Intriguing nose, slightly reductive, relatively little fruit, some lemon, sage, a hint of rose petals. Gripping on the palate at first, mineral, then lively acidity, fresh, persistent, mouthwatering final." Falstaff

Bolgheri Rosso DOC 2022
Michele Satta's well-made Bolgheri Rosso. Its unmistakable character and strong Tuscan identity can be savoured with all the senses. A perfect wine in Satta's first-class style: powerful, dynamic, complex with fine tannins. SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant ruby colour with a dark core. Hearty and inviting nose of ripe plums, juniper, black pepper and cigar box. Smooth on the palate entry, dark fruit centre, dark chocolate, very well integrated tannins, very persistent." Falstaff
"This red wine exudes aromas and flavours of cherries, blackcurrants, raspberries, minerals and spices. Silky and harmonious, with just the right amount of structure and vigour on the long finish." Wine Spectator
"Intense, vinous nose with a hint of cloves to cassis and red cherries. Lush, supple fruit with velvety tannins and a full body. Crisp acidity and a polished finish full of fruit and spice. Drinkable now, but not without potential for 4-5 years of ageing." James Suckling

“Grosso Agontano” Rosso Conero Riserva DOCG 2020
Grosso Agontano Riserva rises dark, floral and earthy from the glass, with notes of undergrowth and tobacco that fade into blackberry and crushed stone. Its velvety texture leads to a sophisticated presentation of red and black fruits, underpinned by cool herbal notes, while the fine tannins slowly saturate towards the end. The finish is long, youthfully structured and with a pleasant inner sweetness, while nuances of tangerine and sour cherry linger under a hint of violet blossom.
Agontano is a 100% Montepulciano that is refined in barriques in the second passage. It is a very attractive interpretation of the grape variety and still needs some time in the cellar to show its best side. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark shiny purple red colour, fine rim. Spicy bouquet of juniper and sweet cherries, followed by leather and a hint of espresso in the finish. Silky texture on the palate, savoury fruit clothed in chocolate, with firm tannins and gentle pressure." Falstaff
"The Conero Riserva Agontano 2020 is dark and intense. A cascade of violet flowers and lavender gives way to crushed blackberries accompanied by hints of cocoa and camphor. The wine is soft and enveloping, with polished red and black fruits accompanied by lively acidity. Fine tannins build slowly towards the end. The Agontano leaves behind chalky mineral tones and a bitter espresso note that lingers until the long and structured final. The 2020 is complex and beautifully balanced, but also very young. We will have to be patient." Vinous
