Undisputed: Fontalloro and Rancia are wine icons of Tuscany. The Gambero Rosso ranks Fèlsina among the ten most successful Italian wineries. You can hardly achieve much more in the Italian wine scene.
While half of Italy relied on Cabernet & Co. in the 1970s and 1980s, Fèlsina produced single-varietal Sangiovese wines. Fontalloro and Rancia premiered in 1983 and were to make the Fattoria di Fèlsina world-famous. And in 1983 (!) it was already decided to produce wines as close to nature as possible in the future. More important than the amount of harvest yields was a high biodiversity in the vineyards in order to largely protect the cultivated areas from pests.
And so it is not surprising that not only the two wine icons Fontalloro and Rancia cause a sensation year after year, but also the three Chianti Classico - from the Annata to the Gran Selezione - put the spotlight on the constantly high level and the obsession for the perfect cultivation of the Sangiovese grape that exists at Fèlsina.
These days, the new vintages have reached us, and we wish you maximum enjoyment with them. But please note, Fontalloro and Rancia in particular are made to last a long time, so don't get carried away and open them too soon ... SUPERIORE.DE
