The Nebbiolo grapes for the Inferno Superiore come from the Calvario, Sopragironi, Sottogironi and Ca Rossa subzones. They grow there in southern exposure on terraced slopes on poor, sandy soils. The Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc grapes for this very drinkable, juicy Rosso come from sites in Montefili and Panzano. The grapes are vinified separately: the Cabernet Franc in small Litersbarrels (tonneaux), the Sangiovese in larger 2,000-litre wooden barrels. Noras displays a rich bouquet of crushed blackberries, plums, smoke and brown sugar, underpinned by minty herbal notes. The texture is velvety, with a polished feel to its red and black fruits and a delicately bitter hint of coffee and balsamic spices. Pleasantly elegant and pleasantly unobtrusive Sauvignon Blanc from the Mock vineyard on steep slopes with gravel soils. Light greenish-yellow in colour, with a delicate aroma of elderflower, paprika, grapefruit and a hint of gooseberry. The well-balanced flavour is fruity, soft, with the right amount of strength and aromatic length. For us, this is undisputedly one of the best Sauvignon Bianco wines in this price range. SUPERIORE.DE
