“Venegazzù della Casa” Montello Asolo DOC 2019
Deep, dark red, fresh, vegetal notes on the nose, delicate smoky aromas and red berry fruit. The flavour is elegant and dense. A wonderfully juicy cuvée for sophisticated drinking pleasure. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, dark ruby red colour. Initially ripe cherry fruit on the nose, then leather, pepper spice, cassis. On the palate with pithy tannins, rich pressure and beautiful juiciness, shows a full-bodied, long finish, turns in the middle section, then slightly drying on the finish." Falstaff
"Classic bold aromas of dark plums, macerated cherries laced with star anise and clove lift from the glass of this Bordeaux Blend, with Italian style. Well structured with fine tannins, the sublime palate balances between concentrated fruits and savory earthiness." Wine Enthusiast
"This is showing aromas of olives, dried herbs, walnuts, sour cherries and cedar. Spicy, chewy and tasty, with a medium body and firm, fine-grained tannins. Excellent balance." James Suckling

“Winkl” Sauvignon Bianco Alto Adige Terlano DOC 2023
Winkl is the winery's second cult wine after the iconic South Tyrolean Sauvignon, Quarz. A wonderfully accentuated wine. Sauvignon Winkl smells of lime, mandarins and mint with a hint of apricot, the bouquet is also reminiscent of crushed rock. Full of character on the palate with a fine acid wire, complex, well-structured, rich in flavour and long. SUPERIORE.DE
"Crystalline bouquet with finely characterised fruit, fine yellow fruit and fresh herbs. Well-proportioned on the palate, very balanced with a fine mellowness and linear orientation." Weinwisser
"Bright, brilliant straw yellow with a greenish tinge. Grassy notes of gooseberry, some pink grapefruit, followed by blackcurrant. Fresh on the palate, pleasantly crisp, linear, opens up well with exotic fruit, light and pleasantly spicy in the medium final." Falstaff
"Flavours of melon, grapefruit sorbet, lemon curd, chive blossom and pickled ginger glide over the palate of this creamy white wine, which has good length and concentration. Expressive without excessive weight, while the mineral finish is moulded by a racy acidity." Wine Spectator

Impressively structured Chardonnay from the Kreuth estate. The western vineyard produces a very elegant wine that impresses with its fine acidity, creamy structure and elegant interplay of flavours. Bright, radiant straw yellow in colour. Complex and balanced, with an abundance of tropical fruit, underlined by a sensual salty minerality. Long and persistent. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, intense golden yellow colour. Presents itself with fine spice on the nose, followed by fully ripe yellow peach and honeydew melon, mineral on the finish. Flows creamy and with sweet fruit over the tongue, with refreshing acidity, great harmony and finesse through to the very long finish." Falstaff
"The 2022 Chardonnay Kreuth is savoury rather than sweet, as its bouquet contains notes of dried flowers, almonds, raw dough and some ginger. It opens with a lovely inner sweetness and soft textures that introduce ripe stone fruit and sweet spices. The finish is long and fresh, leaving a slight savoury tension that leaves you wanting more." Vinous
"Delicate notes of white flowers and mountain herbs provide a subtle, savoury thread that winds through the flavours of kiwi, pear and tangerine in this vibrant white wine. Dense and finely meshed, with a rich minerality reminiscent of graphite and a slightly chalky texture. Persistent and fresh on the honeyed finish." Wine Spectator
"Grown high in the foothills of the Alps in South Tyrol, this Chardonnay shows how the warm days and cold nights produce unique wines. The wine opens with aromas of warmed peach pie, baked Fuji apples, lemon blossom and crushed stone, evolving with every moment. On the palate, it is full-bodied but has the acidity to support the ripe fruit and stone fruit flavours, leading into a creamy texture and mineral finish." Wine Enthusiast
"On the nose and palate, notes of flint and matches combined with dried apples and sliced lemons. Medium to full body with lots of slightly chewy phenolics. Concentrated and refreshing. Quite amazing." James Suckling

Pinot Blanc Sanct Valentin - a lively and powerful top wine made from grapes from single vineyards with minimal yields. Golden yellow with green reflections, velvety soft aromas of apple, melon and vanilla on the nose; complex flavour, fresh and elegant with mineral finesse and a delicately bitter finish. Good ageing and Storage potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with golden reflections. White stone fruit and Golden Delicious apple on the nose, with floral notes and a touch of hazelnut from the fine wood ageing on the finish. Pleasant mouthfeel on the palate, fresh and juicy, well-balanced, with a long finish." Falstaff
"Pure and mineral bouquet with apple slices, stones and a hint of mussels. Nicely salty on the palate, with a medium body and a fresh, elegant finish. Good length." James Suckling
"Showing an initially neutral bouquet, the 2021 Alto Adige Weissburgunder Pinot Bianco Sanct Valentin has distinct notes of white pomelo fruit, citron, pulverized stone and a hint of freshly grated ginger root. There are glacier-like aromas of salted pavement with melted snow, or alternatively, salt from the rim of a margarita glass. I love this style of Alpine Italian white." Wine Advocate

“Bricco Ravera” Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2019
The Langhe Nebbiolo Bricco Ravera is a decidedly potent and virile wine. Juicy red cherry, smoke, leather, cedar and tobacco flow from the glass in a very emphatic, energetic way. It is a very straightforward, consistent Nebbiolo with a lot of personality. If it's not supposed to be Barbaresco or Barolo every day, this wine is a real alternative! SUPERIORE.DE

“Valdisanti” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020
The grapes for this Supertuscan come from the San Giovanni vineyard near San Giovanni a Cerreto. In the church next to the vineyard there is a painting by Rutilo Manetti depicting St John the Baptist (San Giovanni). Deep ruby red, youthful, rich, dark fruit, berry and cassis flavours meld with French oak. On the palate with deep, subtle fruit flavours and an excellent balance of fruit and tannin, plus some smoke, liquorice and tar. A rich, almost opulent red with outstanding structure and great ageing potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"An intense red with aromas of graphite, spice and tar complementing concentrated flavours of blackberries, blueberries, wild rosemary and minerals. The wine shows powerful tannins that are assertive but not overly astringent at this youthful stage. Compact finish." Wine Spectator
"A medium-bodied red wine with flavours of currants, berries and sandalwood. It is easy to chew, but shows glamour and tension." James Suckling
"An undertone of Bing cherries provides pop on an otherwise earthy, metallic nose. Orange zest brings out the cherries' subtle sourness on the palate, while strong acid and heat keep things lively until a structured, tannic finish." Wine Enthusiast
"This is a particularly intense and soft red blend that shows impressive and seamless integration. You get the dark intensity of the two grapes used in the blend, framed by the sweet spice and toast of French oak ageing. This vintage has particularly broad shoulders and is especially rich." Wine Advocate
"The Valdisanti 2020 is outstanding in this vintage. Rich, dark and lush, this blend is seductive from the start. Deep dark fruits, grilled herbs, leather, new oak, liquorice and mocha are nicely turned up. The 2020 is opulent, but by no means heavy. The 2020 is a great Valdisanti." Vinous

“Meriggio” Bianco Colli Toscana Centrale IGT 2022 (BIO)
Very appetising Sauvignon Blanc from Tuscany, fermented in steel, wood and terracotta. Pale straw yellow in colour, with a beautiful aroma of light berries, mint, chamomile and wild flowers. Round, harmonious and fresh flavour that is vibrant and aromatic. Only 8,000 bottles are produced each year. SUPERIORE.DE
"Here's an exciting new addition to the Fontodi portfolio that focuses mostly on reds. This white made with old-vine Trebbiano is part of an encouraging trend to highlight this age-worthy variety. The 2022 Bianco Fontodi is a real beauty, with a creamy or almost glossy texture that acts as a sounding board to aromas of nectarine, honey and the waxy rind of a fresh lemon. It has a slightly salty or mineral finish. It should be fascinating to see how bottle aging changes the wine over the next five years or so. Trebbiano should embrace a promising evolution." “Ginestrino” Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2022 (BIO)
For us, one of the best Nebbiolo from the Langhe. Some winemakers would make the entry-level Barolo from this excellent base wine from younger parcels. Multi-layered, dark bouquet of wild berries, menthol, spices and rosehip. The palate is powerful, present, with a taut finish and pronounced primary fruit. The tannins are well woven and very supple. Impeccable elegance! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo Ginestrino is laced with crushed red berry fruit, cedar, tobacco, spice, mint and dried flowers. This lithe, elegant Langhe Nebbiolo has quite a bit to offer. It's a lovely entry-level offering, especially in this vintage." Vinous
"The Conterno Fantino 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo Ginestrino reveals medium-rich concentration with primary fruits that touch the darker side of the Nebbiolo spectrum. Notes of blackberry and wild plum are softened by oak, tarry spice and toasted cinnamon. The wine deserves a bigger drinking window, probably taking it up to the 10-year mark." Wine Advocate

“Monleale” Barbera Colli Tortonesi DOC 2017
Monleale is a rich, intoxicating wine. Medium ruby-garnet in colour, the bouquet has a subtle sweetness, dried cherry, balsamic notes and clove. On the palate, spicy and earthy undertones support its precise core of dense red cherry and plum fruit, while it briskly presents a powerful and pleasantly savoury style that is ideal for the dining table. “Le Russeghine” Pigato Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC 2023 (BIO)
The grapes come mainly from the historic Russeghine vineyard above the town of Ranzo Borgo. The character of the Pigato here is of particular depth and minerality, which is due to the exceptional terroir and the long maturation on the fine lees. Bright straw yellow in colour with light green reflections. Fragrant nose of herbs, yellow fruit and traces of pine resin. Marsala Superiore “Old John” Riserva DOC 1998 ambra semisecco
In 1773, a rich and resourceful merchant named John happened to land on the Marsala Coast. He was the first to produce the classic Marsala known to this day by adding brandy, refining it so that he could take it back to England without the risk of early spoilage. Intense amber colour. On the nose notes of apricot and carob, some thyme and black pepper. Full and warm on the palate with a fine apricot touch and candied fruit notes. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light amber; sea, fruit ripeness, candied, caramelised orange peel, deep, beautiful nose; not too sweet, round, bittersweet, dates, depth and extended length." Merum
"If you aren't familiar with Marsala, this medium-dry wine would be a good place to start, with intense caramelized-nut, candied-orange and bitter-chocolate character, plus a restrained touch of sweetness. The tannins in Marsala can make the aftertaste bitter, but here they really help to balance the sweetness." James Suckling
"Cantine Pellegrino is a historical producer active since 1880 that has over 150 hectares in different parts of Sicily and on the Island of Pantelleria. This Marsala is bright amber. The nose is pleasant and fresh, with straightforward notes of apricot, hints of carob and thyme. The wine is full, sweet with integrated alcohol, round and generous on the palate. It is made with Grillo, Inzolia and Catarratto, ages 48 months in oak barrels and at least six months in barrique." Decanter

“DUBL” Metodo Classico Rosé VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. An advisor was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his feeling for the particularities of the vines and vineyards.
Light salmon pink. Soft, creamy foam, red wild berries on the nose, plus some cherry blossom and a fine almond note. On the palate, a silky texture with a full, lively core. A high-class Metodo Classico from Campania that captivates us not only because of its freshness and elegance. SUPERIORE.DE

"Vibrant and fresh aromas of wild cherry and sour plum give way to exotic purple flower aromas and tobacco on the nose. The palate pops with tart red fruit notes followed by a mix of sweet and savory spices finishing with a bright pop of acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"A dense nose of dried fruit, mainly plums and black berries, which opens up a little on the medium-bodied palate, but the fruit is still essentially wrapped in a cocoon of fine, slightly drying tannin. This wine clearly needs more time in bottle to develop, but it shows great promise. Try decanting it now, but best from 2024." James Suckling
"The 2019 Valpolicella Classico Superiore La Fabriseria has sweet cherry syrup or crème de cassis that transitions to a savory side with hints of spice and tarry smoke. The wine presents bright flavors and enough structure to pair next to a heavy meat ragù and homemade pasta." Wine Advocate
"This is a long-standing and favourite Tedeschi production. The 2019 Valpolicella Classico Superiore La Fabriseria has sweet cherry syrup or crème de cassis that fades into a savoury side with hints of spice and tarry smoke." Wine Advocate
"The Valpolicella Superiore La Fabriseria 2019 is a real delight on the nose, with an opulent blend of crushed black cherries complemented by cinnamon, cloves and cocoa. It is silky and supple, with a lively acidity that further enlivens the ripe red fruit and inner spice. The 2019 tapers off with amazing length but also freshness, leaving a subtle train of fine tannins as the raspberry and liquorice notes slowly fade. This is a real crowd favourite." Vinous
"From grapes left to slightly over-ripen on the vine, with a portion of the fruit left uncrushed for fermentation, it has a deep and perfumed blackcurrant aroma with noticeable tannic structure overlaid by incredibly smooth and plush fruit. Despite this, it's light on its feet and well balanced despite the 15.5% alcohol, lifted on the finish by a touch of balsam." Decanter

“Biancosesto 20° vendemmia” Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2022
The Biancosesto is a true Friulian made from equal parts of the local Ribolla Gialla and Friulano grape varieties. Fresh, citrus-fruity aroma with hints of apple and pear, accompanied by a full-bodied, harmonious and pleasantly dry flavour. A refined interpretation of down-to-earthness with a beautiful arc of tension. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright olive green with straw yellow colour. Juicy citrus fruit on the nose, elderberry, juicy pink peach, rose petal, grapefruit, pomegranate, inviting. Fresh, juicy, clear on the palate, with well-defined fruit, full of tension and accessible, pure drinking pleasure." Falstaff
"Perfumed, elegant nose with citrus blossom and menthol, rich on the palate with candied fruit." Decanter
"This bright white features juicy pineapple, passion fruit and lychee notes accented by hints of grated ginger, ground cardamom, vanilla and white blossoms. Well-knit and lightly chalky in texture, with a focused, mineral-driven finish." Wine Spectator
"I like the undertones of crushed stone in the grapefruit and gooseberry flavours. It's bright, creamy and citrusy, with a medium body and a lively, zesty finish." James Suckling
"The Tunella 2022 Friuli Colli Orientali Biancosesto emphasises its modernist style with a very rich and creamy texture that comes from ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels. The blend consists of equal parts Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, and the fruit benefits from marl and sandstone soils that develop freshness and sweet concentration. This wine is complex and rich with ripe fruit, apricots and pears. It is a 360-degree expression with an extra dose of opulence to finish." Wine Advocate

“Colpo di Zappa” Primitivo Gioia del Colle DOC 2020
Gioia del Colle is an Italian municipality near Bari and probably the most famous DOC for Primitivo wines. The wines from this appellation embody a straightforward, fresh style and are far removed from the usual jammy suspects. The vines here grow at altitudes of up to 450 metres above sea level, the nights are cooler here than elsewhere in Apulia and the wines have a racier, tighter style and more structure than their namesakes.
Colpo di Zappa is a beautifully articulated Primitivo that brings out the fruity richness of Puglia and the intensity of the dark fruit, but all with appropriate intensity. This is no easy task for a region where the ripening of the grapes is never a problem. The trick is to allow the ripening to proceed slowly in order to preserve the wine's more subtle nuances. Dark fruit with earthy tones of dusty terracotta and beetroot in the background, plus aromas of tar and liquorice. Solid and firm on the palate with flavours of dark cherries, wild roses and cassis. A terrificexample of Primitivo off the beaten track and anything but undemanding. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very spicy, almost peppery fruit notes on the nose that expand into juicy blackcurrants on the palate, with the peppery note persisting. Medium to full-bodied with very fine tannins that coat the lips and tongue and a bright and fruity finish." James Suckling

“N°2” Cabernet Sauvignon Maremma Toscana DOC 2022 (BIO)
Pure Cabernet Sauvignon from Barbara Widmer's Maremma estate. Deep, dark ruby red in colour, with an animating aroma of dark berries, coffee, cocoa, eucalyptus and spices on the nose. Notes of green pepper, fine sweetness and juiciness on the palate. The tannins are polished and pave the way for a long, racy finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, very dense ruby colour with a light sheen. Open nose with black cherry, plum jam, followed by some undergrowth and leather. Full-bodied palate, wide-ranging acidity, taut tannins. Good palate pressure with tension, retronasal sour cherry, long-lasting, slightly acidic finish." Falstaff
"This wine is very pure and delicious, with notes of dark and blue fruits, crushed stones and spice box. Medium-bodied with firm but very fine tannins and a juicy mid-palate. Already very attractive. From organically grown grapes." James Suckling
"The 2022 No. 2 is packed with blackberries, chocolate, cloves, liquorice and espresso. This friendly, racy Maremma red wine has a lot of appeal to offer. Soft contours round it off. " Vinous

Etna Bianco DOC 2022
Fascinating, brightly coloured cuvée that smells of fresh fruit and flowers. Flavours of apple, pear and peach flatter the palate, well balanced and well-balanced. The fine mineral saline note on the finish is also delicious. SUPERIORE.DE
"A fresh white, with lovely verve and fine balance imparting an open-knit accessibility, carrying a pleasing range of poached pear and apricot fruit, fresh herb and milled white pepper accents. Reveals tangy notes of tangerine and pink grapefruit zest on the salty finish." James Suckling
"Lively citrus notes, followed by subtle flavours of mussels and wet stones. Medium body. Flinty finish at the end. Clean and crisp." James Suckling
"The Graci 2022 Etna Bianco has a pronounced mineral note that gives it additional sharpness and brightness. Over the years, the proportion of Carricante in the blend has increased. The salty-mineral profile of this grape variety takes centre stage. The wine has a very light golden colour and is already very drinkable." Wine Advocate
"Blend of Carricante and Catarratto. Notes of chinotto, yellow plums and lemony sage on the nose, almondy, salty and acidic on the finish, with a fruity, lemony and dried fruit aftertaste. Very long lasting." Luca Gardini
