Only in the best years, the grapes from the one-hectare Barbera vineyard "Brunet", planted by Matteo's grandfather in the 1960s, are turned into their own Barbera d'Alba Superiore, and this is bottled in a few hundred magnum bottles after 2 years of ageing in large wood, and only released in small quantities on request. The 2018 edition is more restrained and elegant than the classic Barbera Superiore of the house.
