Noblesse is the very first and still extremely rare bottle-fermented sparkling wine made from Carricante, the noble indigenous white grape of the Etna volcano. The grapes come from 20-60 year old vines that are planted both in the traditional bush vine (albarello) and in rows using the Guyot training system. Pale straw yellow in colour with light greenish reflections. Very delicate and persistent perlage, fine foam. Intense on the nose, with a delicate aroma of orange and lemon blossom and ripe apple. Wonderfully fresh and dry on the palate, elegant, with pleasant acidity and a lovely aromatic, delicately yeasty finish. SUPERIORE.DE

Piante a Lapio is a rich and complex white wine produced in small quantities (about 3,000 bottles per vintage) from the grapes of a single vineyard parcel of just under one hectare in the municipality of Boschi in Lapio (AV). It consists of 35-40 year old vines planted on stratified and complex calcareous soils with basaltic subsoil at an altitude of about 550 metres. The vineyard is protected at the back by a namesake forest, which contributes to the vineyard's special microclimatic conditions. Here, in the heart of Irpinia, white wines are produced with great freshness and good acidity levels, which, vinified with the necessary care, can age for over 20 years.

Deep, bright straw yellow. Rich and complex on the nose, interwoven with notes of spices, herbs, hazelnuts, citrus fruits, honey and salt. In the mouth it has a clear structure, complex, intense, refined and with great personality. Prunotto's Barolo Bussia comes from the vineyard site of the same name in the shape of an amphitheatre in the Bussia Monforte d'Alba area. This historic wine was first produced by Prunotto in 1961 as a single-vineyard wine. The balance and complexity of the Nebbiolo grapes are enhanced by the vineyard's different south to south-west exposures and traditional ageing in large barrels.

A great wine that combines the power of Barolo with the finesse of the Monforte terroir. Emilio and Elisabetta Foradori only press 8,000 bottles of Fuoripista Pinot Grigio from the biodynamic vineyards of the Campo Rotaliano site every year. The delicate pink-coloured wine is fermented for eight months on the skins in tinajas (Spanish amphorae), where it matures slowly to reveal the delicate character of Pinot Grigio and the forgotten diversity of Trentino. The project aims to highlight the link between the vines, the wines and their territorial origins. In this way, the Mastroberardino family wants to recreate the style of winemaking of the autochthonous grape varieties of Irpinia (Greco, Fiano and Aglianico) that took place between the end of the 1950s and the beginning of the 1970s of the twentieth century for the Taurasi and between the years 1970 and 1980 for the two white wines from Irpinia. It is the unmistakable style (the stilèma) of a family that has interpreted the natural heritage of its territory over generations and today impressively highlights the genuine character of the terroir, which by no means can be expressed by high concentration and intensity alone.

Stilèma Taurasi is an austere and complex wine with excellent drinkability and great ageing potential. A modern interpretation of the style of the great Taurasi from the 1950s and 1960s. Stilèma Taurasi is the result of a compositional work that has brought together different but synergistic micro-territorial stories, creating a unique and complex expressiveness. Pietradefusi, Montemarano, Paternopoli and Mirabella Eclano are the different sites of the family from which the grapes come, distinguished by their altitude, microclimate and soils.

Nosiola - an ancient grape variety of Trentino - was once cultivated throughout the country. Today, its cultivation is limited to the mountains and valleys of Trento. The Nosiola grape produces wines of great finesse and longevity. Elisabetta's Nosiola also gains exceptional vigour and energy through biodynamics and ageing in amphora. Give the Nosiola time and be patient: Only after sufficient aeration and at a serving temperature of around 13 degrees does this white wine reveal its full potential. SUPERIORE.DE

Sgarzon is a single vineyard, barely more than a kilometre from Morei as the crow flies, but here the Noce has deposited more sand in the upper layers of soil, the plot is more open and thus less protected from cold winds. The grapes ripen about a week later. Teroldego Sgarzon is fabulous, delicate and full of richness and energy from the attack to the final. The bouquet - an exciting blend of dark fruits, tobacco, flowers, liquorice, mint and minerals. Very clear, pure and clean on the palate. SUPERIORE.DE

The Teroldego from Foradori are all a great experience. Elisabetta makes extremely interesting wines from the autochthonous grape variety from the foot of the Dolomites. And they are made purely organically and partly in amphorae. Morei (dark in Trentino dialect) is an original red wine that is true to its terroir and is irresistibly elegant and refined. Warm, dense and mineral like the soil on which it grows. Morei is protected from cold northerly winds by the nearby, abruptly rising rock faces. The rock stores heat during the day, which radiates to the vineyard at night. The soil here is very stony and therefore relatively warm, dense, dark and mineralised, just like the Morei Teroldego wine of the same name. Parussi is the most open-hearted and fruity Barolo in Massolino's 2019 collection. It has a striking immediacy and sweetness in the mid-palate. Juicy red and purple berries, spices and mint combine in the glass. On the palate, Parussi is silky, floral and medium-bodied, displaying all the sensuality typical of Castiglione Falletto's Barolos. Amarone Calcarole is only produced in small quantities in the best vintages and has been officially labelled Riserva since the 2015 vintage. The single vineyard of the same name is located above Villa di Rovereti in the heart of Negrar in the Valpolicella Classico region. The vineyard offers ideal conditions for great red wines due to its particularly warm climate, stony soil and south-west exposure. The grapes are 100% dried in small crates in the historic rooms of Pojega.

Neromaccarj comes from a low-lying vineyard facing the sea and shows the ripe and juicy side of Nero d'Avola. The wine opens with a deep dark appearance and flavours that are dense and broad, forming a high wall of black plum fruit. The wine is very immediate and impressive, and you don't have to look far to recognise all these wide-ranging aromas on the nose.
