"Il Preliminare" - "The Preliminary Remarks". The names of Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti's wines are reminiscent of his father's world as a notary.

One of the most exciting white wines in southern Italy, made from white Aglianico grapes, Chardonnay and Malvasia. In the glass, it smells of white flowers, orange peel, peach and bitter almond. Fine texture, bright and dancing on the remarkable finish. SUPERIORE.DE

Light ruby red colour. A small fruit basket with red berries and cherries on the nose, delicately floral with violets. Quite full-bodied, very dry with fine fruit and extremely fine sparkling mousseux, lingers for a long time, very finely balanced. Maluentu is the successor of the extremely popular Nieddera Rosso. High-class red with fine blackberry and sour cherry scents, the taste is soft-spicy and long. Maluentu is a very typical balsamic Sardinian with a nice drinking flow. SUPERIORE.DE

The country dance (controdanza) is a typical dance in which man and woman face each other and unite in graceful movements - depending on their gender, the dancers interpret the music in their own way. This wine is exactly the same: Nero d'Aola and Merlot - opposites attract and, with the right sensitivity, can harmonise and contrast wonderfully.

Strong purple colour. Mulberry and plum contrast with incense and balsamic notes. The grapes all come from chalky soils, which in turn creates a bridge and makes this young wine balanced and harmonious. Fichimori is made mainly from Negroamaro grapes with a small addition of Syrah grapes, cold macerated for 5 days at a temperature of 5° C to extract the varietal aromas, colour and softer polyphenolic components. Purple red in the glass with ruby reflections. Opens with a wide and intense bouquet of cherries and strawberries, accompanied by shades of blackcurrant and pomegranate. Connoisseurs drink this refined and extremely fresh interpretation of the Negroamaro grape slightly chilled with starters, grilled fish and white meat. SUPERIORE.DE

The combination of Friulano (called Tai in Veneto) and Sauvignon Bianco makes Bidibi a delicious white wine full of character with rather moderate acidity. Just the thing for fans of mineral and drinkable white wines: bright straw yellow with a golden shimmer. On the nose, the Frammento (formerly Villa Barbi) opens with green melon, candied lime, fresh mint and wet stone. Here comes one of Italy's favourite rosati: bright salmon pink, with a nose of peach, berries and hints of cherry. The flavourful finish is crisp and fruity. The "Anniversario" comes from vines that are around 50 years old and is the house's top Rosato. It was vinified for the first time in 1993 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Five Roses. Since the 2021 vintage, the grapes for this classic wine have been sourced exclusively from the hills of the Valpolicella core zone of Valpantena: fresh flowers, sweet red berries, mint and a hint of cinnamon escape from the glass. Italy connoisseur and wine critic Ian D'Agata writes about the grape variety in his book "Native Wine Grapes of Italy": "Verdicchio is arguably Italy's greatest indigenous white grape variety. This statement may come as a surprise to those who have only tasted neutral or watery Verdicchio wines, sometimes even bottled in incredible amphora-shaped bottles."

Light straw green in colour. Clean and fresh on the nose, lively and lively on the palate with an almost laser-like precision in the flavours of citrus fruits, herbs, almonds, mussels and crushed gravel. Its sweet and sour note makes the wine even more appealing and gives it an air of "drink me now". Everything here is in perfect balance and has a natural tension.
