Pithos Bianco is a great orange wine from the amphora made from 100 per cent Grecanico, fermented entirely on the skins. Complex bouquet of apple, pear, honey, mint and a hint of rosemary. Even young with lots of ripe fruit and spice, a little salt, with beautiful depth and purity in the interesting, persistent flavour. Very good ageing and maturation potential. Mimmo is a triumvirate of the wonderful autochthonous grape varieties Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Croatina from 100-year-old vineyards on Montalbano and Santuario porphyry soils at an altitude of 500 metres. The Nebbiolo parcels come from the same vineyards as the cult wine Boca and are harvested and processed according to the same quality principles. The division between Boca and Mimmo is made by tasting the lots after two years of ageing in large wooden barrels.

Some lots from the estate's own vineyards in the Boca DOC ripen a little earlier than others, without losing their original character. Together with 30% Croatina, the final result is Mimmo, named after an unforgettable person who has helped to raise the quality level of the Le Piane winery to what it is today. With his approachable manner, he opens the door to the more complex Boca at a more affordable price.

Fine, floral bouquet. Great and precise fruit on the palate. Powerful tannins envelop a core of bright red fruits, tobacco, crushed flowers and liquorice. The flavours and supple texture round off beautifully on the deep finish with well-dosed pressure. In 2017, Stefano Pola was proposed to plant a vineyard in the heart of the beautiful area of the Belluno Dolomites, more precisely about 9 hectares in the Valbelluna area on a well-exposed high plateau at about 650 metres above sea level. The soil here is medium-heavy with calcareous deposits typical of mountain regions. Some layers contain solidified sands that form sandstone, and in other areas marls, i.e. old clays, are exposed. The soil structure is very stony, which provides good drainage and aeration conditions. The high lime content gives the wines a distinct olfactory finesse.

This new project centres on four grape varieties that are completely different from those in Stefano Pola's core business in Valdobbiadene: Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Gewürztraminer and
Rheinriesling. After several years of research and experimentation, the first labels are now being launched on the market, expressing one thing straight away: Stefano's passion for precise and authentic wines!

With its soft, light and delicate pink colour, Alture Rosato, made from Pinot Nero according to the classic method, has an elegant appearance with a creamy and enveloping perlage. The nose reveals all the finesse that the chalky soils of dolomitic origin can impart: Notes of freshly picked red fruits, wild strawberries and raspberries accompany flower petals and citrus notes. In the background, fresh almond, hints of bread crust and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is rich, incisive and flavoursome, with a consistently dry finish. SUPERIORE.DE

Ferentano is a pure white made from the rare indigenous vine Roscetto, which has a very thick skin. Therefore, the grapes are frozen after harvesting to then better break the skins during pressing and to ensure that only the fruit passes through during pressing.

Bright yellow colour, the aroma is slightly sweet of citrus fruits, melon and Golden Delicious. Rich and fruity in the mouth, with a strong structure and hints of grapefruit, honeydew melon and apricot jam. This beautiful white cuvée made from Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Malvasia istriana has a seductive aroma of spring flowers, white stone fruit and citrus notes. Cultus is a modern-style Chianti Classico Riserva and a dark, elaborate interpretation of the terroir of the somewhat cooler and wilder municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. The grapes come mainly from the historic Russeghine vineyard above the town of Ranzo Borgo.
