“De Ferrari” Rosso Toscana IGT 2022 · 6 bottles in OWC
Rosso De Ferrari from Boscarelli reveals a broad aroma of chocolate and redcurrants alongside the classic cherry flavour. This astonishing complexity for a wine of this price class continues in the flavour, in which the dense, soft structure is extremely pleasant. Well done! SUPERIORE.DE

“Vigneti La Selvanella” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2020 · 6 bottles in OWC
As always, the Chianti Classico La Selvanella Riserva presents itself as an exemplary wine. Deep, dark ruby red in colour. Complex aromas of ripe plums, raspberries, candied orange zest and hints of spice harmonise perfectly. Well-articulated and rich flavour with polished tannins, full-bodied and progressive. SUPERIORE.DE
"Clear aroma of ripe black berries and rose hips with dried floral and slightly herbal aromas, a hint of leather, some dark ethereal spice, tobacco ash and hints of herbs. Ripe, clear and firm, tart-juicy fruit, present, yet quite fine tannins, some smoke and toast on the palate, a certain acid bite, dried-vegetable to herbaceous tones, good persistence. Has power, but still a certain coolness, very good, firm finish with oregano." Wein-Plus
"Bright ruby red with a subtly brightening rim. Smells of graphite, dark berry fruit and fine earthy tones on the nose. Polished on the palate, with a juicy core and a clear fruit flavour, the tannins remain subtly in the background." Falstaff
"A fragrant red with a timid nose of blue fruit, dried herbs and some crushed stones and raspberries. Tightly wound and medium- to full-bodied with tender red fruit. Very compact, with an elegant rigidity that is very appealing. Pure Sangiovese from a single vineyard in Radda in Chianti, which is one of the highest villages in Chianti Classico. This is already drinkable, but I would love to revisit it in a couple of years." James Suckling

“Sansonina” Lugana DOC 2022 · 6 bottles in OWC
Sansonina (Lugana and Merlot) is a strictly limited and very ambitious project by the Zenato family, in which only the best grapes from their own vineyards are used. Only a small number of these are sold in numbered bottles each year.
This spontaneously fermented Lugana from the Sansonina winery is a masterpiece with a broad aroma of exotic fruits. In addition to the intense fruit, there is enough room on the palate for a fine minerality and freshness. It is undisputedly one of the most serious Lugana wines we know. SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant, light straw yellow colour. Shows some greenish notes of basil and marjoram on the nose, followed by green peach and yeast. Lots of juicy peach fruit on the palate, some apricot, nice bite on the final." Falstaff

“Selezione 3 Cru” Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO) · 6 bottles in gift box
Dievoles three new single-vineyard wines are the result of an effort to highlight the identity characteristics of particularly suitable vineyards in Chianti Classico, leading to ever more precise expressions of Sangiovese. This gift box of 6 contains 2 bottles of each of the three single vineyards.
2 bottles à 0,75l | "Petrignano" Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO)
Petrignano is the name of a characteristic area with a soil rich in minerals and stones. At an altitude of about 330 metres, rocks protrude from the ground, typical of the geological formation of Monte Morello. The abundance of stones, the depth of the roots and the low growth of the vines result in an expressive and lush wine from this characteristic and authentic cru site. Intense ruby red. Very appealing bouquet dominated by ripe fruit, cherry and blackberry aromas. Juicy, full and rich on the palate, with blackberry and ripe fruit flavours. Warm and velvety finish with fine and soft tannins, very accentuated interwoven with the fine acidity framework. SUPERIORE.DE

Decanter: 91 points/silver medal2 bottles à 0,75l | "Casanova" Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO)
The Casanova grapes come from a vineyard at an altitude of about 400 metres, with an ideal south-west to south-east exposure and consisting mainly of sandstone rocks Macigno del Chianti. The result is a Chianti Classico that is very immediate and direct, with a beautiful acidity to boot. It has the elegance and freshness and the bright, radiant fruit of Chianti Classico "as it used to be". Bright, luminous ruby red. On the nose, classic aromas of the grape variety with notes of small red fruits such as cherries and sour cherries alternating with spicy notes. On the palate it is soft, carried by a dense tannin structure and a spicy, velvety finish. SUPERIORE.DE

James Suckling: 90 points2 bottles à 0,75l | "Catignano" Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO)
Catignano is a plateau at 370 metres above sea level, with vineyards of different ages and a large proportion of Alberese. The exposure is westerly and south-easterly, which means plenty of sun during the day, but also cold temperatures at night, with a good temperature range that favours the aromatic development of the grapes. On the nose, notes of red fruits, then a tertiary complexity of tobacco leather, graphite and liquorice. Warm and juicy on the palate, with notes of ripe red fruits. A juicy, sun-drenched cru. “Borgo” Chianti Classico DOCG 2022 · 6 bottles in OWC
Borgo 2022 is the debut vintage of a Chianti Classico that embodies the soul of San Felice with great character. Sangiovese and a small amount of Pugnitello combine to create a fragrant and lively wine that faithfully and authentically represents the unmistakable terroir. The overall impression is versatile and immediate, with freshness, fruity aromas and floral notes. Rich and complex on the palate, with sweet tannins that accompany a persistent and balanced finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"This is exactly the kind of wine you want to come home with. Its freshness alone is a pick-me-up. Its cherry, raspberry and blackberry-coloured fruit is so vibrant and three-dimensional and 'now' that it tastes like you're picking it in the garden in the sunlight and popping it straight into your mouth. You take a sip of it and look for spots of juice on your fingers. It's a happy wine. It's fabulous at this moment." Jancis Robinson
"A juicy, fresh and delicious red wine with flavours of plums, cherries and oranges. Medium-bodied, bright and lively. Why wait?" James Suckling
"The Chianti Classico Borgo 2022 opens with a medium-dark garnet red colour, characteristic of Sangiovese from a warm vintage. The wine's bouquet is true to the variety, with aromas of wild cherry, floral earth, iris and blue flowers in the background. These flavours are delivered in a very clean and concentrated way, followed by good acidity. It is approachable and pleasant to drink, especially when a plate of pasta with meat ragout is on the menu." Wine Advocate
"This broad, rich red wine shows flavours of cherries, raspberries, iron and wild herbs. Well defined and firmly structured, with a fluid feel and excellent length on the finish." Wine Spectator
"Sanguine and floral with a delicate but persistent earthiness on the nose, offering flavours of cranberry, hibiscus, earth and coffee. The same mix of tart fruit and slightly bitter earth defines the palate, while a lively acidity washes over still slightly dusty tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"The Chianti Classico Borgo 2022 is a racy, sensual wine. Crushed red berry fruit, wild flowers and cinnamon fill out the layers beautifully, all framed by soft contours that give it plenty of charm. This juicy red wine has a lot to offer." Vinous

“Ognisanti di Novare” Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2021 · 6 bottles in OWC
The grapes for this high-calibre Valpolicella Classico Superiore come from the rather barren, calcareous and terraced vineyards of Tenuta Novare above the Ognisanti church. Wines of greater complexity, perfect structure and higher concentration are produced here than in most other vineyards in Valpolicella. Sparkling ruby-garnet colour. Fragrant nose with wonderful overtones of sour cherry, dried flowers and white pepper. Perfectly balanced on the palate with firm tannins and wonderful spice and depth of fruit thanks to the ageing in wood. A superior, winning wine from the heart of the Valpolicella region. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light ruby red colour with edge brightening. Lots of herbs and tobacco on the nose at the start, followed by compact cherry fruit. Lively and refreshing on the palate, harmonious, animating, juicy, ripe tannins and vibrant acidity, lingering final." Falstaff
"There is a palpable energy to this gorgeous expression, distinguishing it from the galumphing standard of so many in the region. Pinot in spades, with a tingle of red mountain berries and orange peel. The taut and pumice-like tannins direct crunchy length. The oak is evident but very subtle. The acidity is palate-whetting and juicy. A delicious wine." James Suckling

“More Maiorum” Fiano di Avellino DOCG 2017 · 6 bottles in OWC
A hearty, spicy Fiano di Avellino that impresses with its fruitiness and aromas of sausage, bacon and smoke. Complex on the palate of tropical fruits, candy and minerals, full-bodied long. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2017 Bianco More Maiorum is savory in the glass, blending musky dried apricot with yellow flowers, ginger and crushed rocks. It’s nearly salty on the palate, displaying a crisp purity of tart orchard fruits and mineral tones that add an almost-crunchy sensation toward the close. This finishes with bitter almond and lemon zest, tapering off with admirable length yet dry and grippy." Vinous
"This wine starts with a lovely lemon, cedar peel and wild onion character on the nose, mixed with a touch of oak. The palate is medium to full-bodied with bright citrus fruit that lingers until the end. It leaves a long aftertaste of lemon peel, dry minerals and caramel." James Suckling
"Here is a beautifully matured blend of equal parts Fiano and Greco. The 2017 Irpinia Bianco More Maiorum from the historic Mastroberardino estate shows a rich, mid-weight style with layers of beeswax, stone fruit, thick-skinned cedro lemon and underripe apricot. A nice hint of petrol and gravel adds to the wine's complexity and highlights the smooth evolution of this impressive five-year-old white." Wine Advocate

“Novecento 30 anni” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2019 (BIO) · 6 bottles in OWC
The anniversary edition of the Novecento opens on the nose with layers of dark fruits, spices, tar and smoke. Then on the palate, there is terrific depth and hints of earth or crushed black rock. Novecento offers a great texture that is velvety and rich without ever seeming heavy or sluggish. Long and crisp on the spicy finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Ripe nose with aromas of maraschino, herbs and leather; the tannins robust, showing character and length, solid finish. Pair with a T-bone steak." Vinum
"The organic Dievole 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva Novecento is slow to open and is neutral on first nose. It does eventually show some dark fruit and wild cherry that is nicely intermingled with spice, leather and tar. There is a warm or savory quality to this wine with autumn leaf and forest floor. The blend is 95% Sangiovese, 3% Canaiolo and 2% Colorino. This release celebrates the 30th vintage of this wine." Wine Advocate
"The 2019 vintage was one of the most balanced in recent years in Chianti Classico. Here, as Antonini confessed, there is no intention to make an approachable wine. The colour shines in its ruby red tinge; the nose is intensely fresh, flowery and slightly reductive at first, before an orange vert emerges from the depths to overlay black cherry and creamy strawberry. The attack is firm, crunchy and extracted. Fierce acidity supports a youthful cherry fruit expression with enough concentration and a thick finish. Quite austere for 2019, but amazing considering its ability to age." Decanter
"This is extremely aromatic, with strawberry and cherry character and hints of orange peel and flowers. Medium-bodied with very fine tannins that are integrated and polished. Bright acidity at the finish, made from a mix of parcels from the highest vineyards of Dievole. Beautiful to drink now, but will age will, too." James Suckling

“Catullo” Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC 2020 · 6 bottles in OWC
The grapes for this fine Valpolicella come from limestone marl soils in the terraced vineyards of the Novare winery. Similar to the Amarone method, the grapes undergo a second fermentation on the sweetish skins of dried grapes in March after the harvest. Deep ruby red in colour, with warm spicy notes, cherry, black pepper and hints of chocolate on the palate. Animating in the glass with intense fruity flavours, wonderfully soft tannin structure and beautiful persistence. This multi-layered, luxurious wine has nothing to hide behind its big brother! SUPERIORE.DE
"Wild strawberry and cherry fruit is ripe and bright in this elegant red, with a tang of pomegranate seed and tangerine peel. Light on its feet and fresh, with light, chewy tannins showing on the lingering finish of aromatic mineral, spice and Mediterranean macchia notes." Wine Spectator
"If I were forced to choose a series of wines that could lead the anachronistic Ripasso category into a better future, this would be one of the few. A medium-bodied, lean expression with just enough fruit in the bones. Think strawberries, lilacs, Asian plums, cloves and a hint of liquorice. A noble, almost alpine bitterness lifts the finish. Brilliant." James Suckling

“Pelago” Rosso Marche IGT 2019 · 6 bottles in OWC
The rich garnet-red Pelago in Riserva quality made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano and small amounts of Merlot has a captivating aroma of raspberries, strawberry jam, cloves, tobacco and mocha. On the palate, it reveals a noble spiciness and a hearty, juicy and very long flavour. Pelago 2019 should turn out to be a real charmer after some ageing. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light ruby red colour with a garnet-red shimmer. Rum pot, rich black cherry and ripe plums on the nose, then slightly spicy. Sweet, juicy and drinky on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and a long final." Falstaff
"Lush fruit that presents the blue-black fruit, Napeta spice and ink dust of a ripe Cabernet and the velvety red plum of a Montepulciano. A hint of cigar smoke pervades the long, fine-grained, slightly chunky tannins. A hint of freshly gathered wild mushrooms, a touch of pine needles, and then the finish is deep and lush and juicy red soaked with Montepulciano fruit. Modern and international, but stylish, and the Montepulciano from Le Marche shines through." Jancis Robinson
"A pleasant, fruity red wine with the character of blackcurrants and blackberries and a lovely mineral freshness. Medium-bodied with excellent balance and non-distracting tannins. It radiates clarity and drinkability. Very well made." James Suckling
"Darkly alluring, the 2019 Pelago wafts up with a beguiling blend of crushed plums, sage and tobacco, all lifted by sweet smoke. This is pure elegance, silky and enveloping with cooling acidity to balance. A wave of polished red and blue fruits easily flows across the palate. Tart blackberries and hints of citrus resonate as the 2019 finishes long and potent, with staining of minerality that leaves a crunchy sensation as a coating of fine-grained tannins tugs at the cheeks. This wine is still very young, but full of potential." Vinous

“Cassiopea Pagus Cerbaia” Rosato Bolgheri DOC 2018 · 6 bottles in OWC
Pagus Cerbaia is the name of a first-class small plot of land with sedimentary soils. This is where the small quantities of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon come from, 50% of which is fermented in amphorae and 50% in oak barrels after the harvest. The "Selection Rosato", which is only bottled in a few hundred bottles, has an intense floral aroma and captivates the palate in a lively and cheerful way with a lingering spicy note and a wonderfully complex finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright copper colour with a sparkling core. Aromas of orange peel, ginger, honey and dried figs on the nose. Soft on the palate, expansive, carried by striking acidity, right through to the lingering finish." Falstaff
"This is complex and layered with dried strawberry bush, pastry crust, dried flowers and caramel. Medium-bodied, textural and polished with a gentle phenolic edge to it and chalky minerality." James Suckling
"Youthful, creamy aromas of red fruits open up to wonderfully ripe notes of peach, dried apricots, honey and cream, as well as hints of oak with nutmeg and cloves. Perhaps the proximity to the sea contributes to the salty, mineral notes that combine with the oak structure. The oak adds a subtle spice, the ripe fruit adds weight, the fresh acidity is perfectly balanced and gives the wine outstanding length without shouting." Decanter

“Caiarossa” Bianco Toscana IGT 2022 (BIO) · 6 bottles in OWC
The Viognier and Chardonnay vines grow on Caiarossa's most calcareous terroir. The grapes are fermented separately in oak barrels, matured on the lees and blended at the end, with little or no racking in order to produce the wine with as little oxygen contact as possible. The result is a precise and clean white wine that, with its beautiful volume, depth and smoothness with fragrant flavours of flowers and almonds, goes well with a delicate and fragrant pesto. “Anagallis” Rosso Toscana IGT 2019 · 6 bottles in OWC
Tasty and multi-faceted super Tuscan made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. You can feel the weight and density of this blend with its immediate and opulent aromas of black fruits, plums and blackcurrants. Exotic spices, tobacco and campfire ash, together with a savoury oak note. Well-accentuated tannins, full and warm on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Rich blackberries and ripe sour cherries on the nose, forest floor in the background. Powerful but well-integrated tannins on the palate, juicy, with lots of red fruit and a long finish." Falstaff
"This is a very pleasant blend of cabernet, merlot and petit verdot, with lovely raspberry, redcurrant and floral character. Medium-bodied with nicely integrated tannins that firm up the finish a little." James Suckling
"This is a bold red wine that jumps right out at you in the context of the mostly Sangiovese-based wines made in this central part of Tuscany. The Tenuta di Lilliano 2019 Anagallis is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot that ages in new, second and third-passage barrique. The wine offers thick layers of dark fruit, blackberry and sweet oak spice over a full-bodied texture. Production is limited to 5,000 bottles." Wine Advocate

“Polissena” Sangiovese Valdarno di Sopra DOC 2019 (BIO) · 6 bottles in OWC
Polissena shows the typical signature of Il Borro: the wines are made as typical of the grape variety as possible and therefore come into the glass as authentically and transparently as possible - particularly recognisable here with Sangiovese. The nose has a fine cherry flavour with hints of wild berries, forest floor, herbs and a little plum. On the palate, the typical acidity is paired with delicate fruit, a firm centre and a taut final. The 12-month maturation in used and almost neutral barriques is very conducive to the freshness and straightforwardness of the Polissena. Great drinking pleasure and stylistically comparable to a Brunello! SUPERIORE.DE
"Lifted nose with herbs, spice and red fruit. Vanilla and dill notes mingle with cherry and orange zest nuances." Decanter
"Il Borro’s 2019 Valdarno di Sopra Sangiovese Vigna Polissena sees 30 days of fermentation and is aged in neutral barrique for 18 months. It offers a silky and gentle character with very direct fruit that is softened by oak spice. A pretty note of minerality seals the deal." Wine Advocate
"The nose is sunny and wild, with aromas of warm tar and brick dust, then Bing cherries and blood orange, then packed earth, crushed sage and wild fennel that roll onto a round and lush palate of strawberries, cherries, bitter orange and wild herbs. A hint of acidity and a growing peppery spiciness on the back palate linger into a lingering finish." Wine Enthusiast
"Flavours of cedar, salted caramel, fresh flowers and cherries follow through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins that integrate beautifully with the wine. A hint of wood at the end, but a lovely finish." James Suckling

Radici Taurasi DOCG 2018 · 6 bottles in OWC
A very special wine made from overripe and strictly selected Aglianico grapes that thrive in Mastroberardino's south-facing vineyards. The Taurasi is aged for two years in oak barrels and one year in the bottle. A wine with a fascinating personality, power and extremely high ageing Storage potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2018 Taurasi Radici is like pushing through a cinder block to find a treasure chest of exotic spices, incense and cinnamon-coloured blackcurrants. It's a soft and generous expression of Radici, with a depth of tart black fruits balanced by dark chocolate and sour citrus notes. It finishes with tremendous length, but without the typical hard tannins associated with Aglianico in its youth, leaving behind inner earth and herbal notes. The 2018 finishes on a savoury note. This Radici is a much stronger expression of Radici." Vinous
"Bright ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. On the nose, ripe heart cherries and dark forest berries, with an aftertaste of violets, leather and undergrowth, very complex. Fresh and savoury on the palate, with fine-grained and well-integrated tannins, lots of ripe fruit, long final, a long runner." Falstaff
"The Mastroberardino 2018 Taurasi Radici, with its distinctive black label, offers impressive complexity with a long succession of flavours that include dried blackberries, cherry liqueur, tarry smoke, campfire ash, sweet baking spices and cinnamon. Blackberries, rosemary sprigs and forest floor also characterise the bouquet. The whole is rounded off with soft tobacco. This wine displays powerful fruit and an equally balanced oak flavour. The tannins are well integrated and the Radici is long-lasting." Wine Advocate
"The nose is heavy with dark fruit and flowers, but edgier, slightly spicy aromas of graphite and pepper provide balance. On the palate, the fruit sweetens but is balanced by bitter dark chocolate, before an overwhelming earthiness arrives riding an avalanche of dusty tannins, and a rush of acid harkens back to the subtle metallic tang of the nose." The cherry-fruity Nieddera interpretation by Paolo Contini shows itself in a strong ruby red and with the typical aroma of ripe plum and black cherry. “Per Lui” Salice Salentino Riserva DOC 2017 · 6 bottles in OWC
An impenetrably dense ruby red colour, the nose is dominated by a variety of ripe fruit aromas of sour cherry and black berries. The herbal flavours typical of the Negroamaro variety, its lively acidity and sweet tannins are well interwoven. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby red with brightening edges. Intense aroma of ripe plums, blackberries and sweet tobacco, cloves. Medium structure on the palate, fine fruit flavour and well-integrated tannins, lingering, fruity final." Falstaff
"The nose balances aromas of rich, dark berries with a fresh, medicinal herbaceousness, while overtones of pepper and cola provide sparkle. The interplay between fruit and herbs continues on the palate, before a chocolatey finish that's framed by firm but round tannins and a strong ripple of acid." Wine Enthusiast

“Fides Vigna Mosconi” Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC 2021 · 6 bottles in OWC
Barbera d'Alba Superiore Fides from the famous Mosconi vineyard offers a very nuanced bouquet characterised by blackberry, black cherry, cassis and plum on the one hand and pronounced mineral notes on the other. Fides offers a dark concentration and a soft, intense texture. Lavender, mint and sweet floral notes give it additional vigour and make it one of the best single-vineyard Barberas in Piedmont every year. SUPERIORE.DE
"Fruit for this wine is sourced from an excellent site in Monforte d'Alba. The Pio Cesare 2021 Barbera d'Alba Superiore Vigna Mosconi Fides is dark in color and rich and concentration. The wine offers a soft texture with plenty of dark fruit and blackberry. Those bleed nicely into sweet spice and light toast over a full-bodied finish." Wine Advocate
