The grapes for this elegant Metodo Classico come from loose limestone soils with a clay content from the Überetsch and Unterland regions. The three grape varieties are vinified separately, gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature of 14°-16°C. “DUBL EDITION 1 BIANCO” Metodo Classico VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 out of an awareness of the great richness of the indigenous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. A consultant was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his flair for the specialities of the vines and vineyards.
A quarter of the base wines for this top product are aged for 6 months in oak barrels, after which the cuvée matures for two years in the bottle on the fine lees before being disgorged. Pale yellow in colour with a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light-coloured fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. Powerful and fresh on the palate, with a lovely spiciness and a potpourri of stone fruit, a fine honey note and roasted almonds. SUPERIORE.DE

"The nose is very subtle, but I am fascinated by how strong the Sauvignon influence is on the profile of the wine, despite being a relatively small proportion. The fruit is firmly on the passion-fruit and pink-grapefruit spectrum with a grassy, herbal undertone. The oak influence is almost invisible. It's elegant, but not without exuberance – as sort of vivid-orange alacrity under a veil of white chalk. It also became more delicious as it opened up in the glass, showing me that this is not a wine to serve too cold if you want the best from it. “Alture” Metodo Classico Bianco di Bianco VSQ extra brut
In 2017, Stefano Pola was proposed to plant a vineyard in the heart of the beautiful area of the Belluno Dolomites, more precisely about 9 hectares in the Valbelluna area on a well-exposed high plateau at about 650 metres above sea level. The soil here is medium-heavy with calcareous deposits typical of mountain regions. Some layers contain solidified sands that form sandstone, and in other areas marls, i.e. old clays, are exposed. The soil structure is very stony, which provides good drainage and aeration conditions. The high lime content gives the wines a distinct olfactory finesse.
This new project centres on four grape varieties that are completely different from those in Stefano Pola's core business in Valdobbiadene: Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Gewürztraminer and
Rheinriesling. After several years of research and experimentation, the first labels are now being launched on the market, expressing one thing straight away: Stefano's passion for precise and authentic wines!Straw yellow colour, very bright with golden reflections. The nose reveals all the finesse that the chalky soils of dolomitic origin can impart. Citrus notes and white flowers accompany the classic varietal Chardonnay flavours of honey and ripe fruit. “DUBL EDITION 2 BIANCO” Metodo Classico VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 out of an awareness of the great richness of the indigenous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. A consultant was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his flair for the specialities of the vines and vineyards.
A quarter of the base wines for this top product are aged for 6 months in oak barrels, after which the cuvée matures for two years in the bottle on the fine lees before being disgorged. Strong light yellow colour and a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light-coloured fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. Derthona Timorasso 2022
The best plots around Monleale, from which the grapes for the Derthona Timorasso come, cover just 11 hectares. They are located in the Apennine and pre-Apennine hills of the Marca Obertenga, the soils contain mainly marl and clayey layers.
The deep bouquet has green and yellow fruit notes, orange confit, graphite, mint and a hint of camomile. On the palate, it marches straight ahead with that certain exotic something, its pleasantly fresh acidity and fine tannins into a long finish with an attractive citrus peel bitterness reminiscent of Chinotto and a mineral vein. “Bernardina” Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2022 (BIO)
Bernardina is a wine with an interesting history. The Bernardina vineyard was once part of a 600-hectare estate belonging to a noble family who did not care much for wine. When the appellation boundaries for Barolo were established, this family never lobbied to become part of the area now registered for the production of Barolo DOCG. Today, the vineyard is managed by the Ceretto family, who have instead focussed on the production of Nebbiolo d'Alba. Nebbiolo d'Alba is an appellation in which the grapes from the Barolo and Barbaresco wine regions have been declassified and which is becoming increasingly popular.
Fragrant and floral with aromas of rose petals, violets and wild berries. The finish is polished and clean with hints of smoke, liquorice and tar. The wine has had a short maturation period in barriques, which gives it impressive complexity and length. SUPERIORE.DE
