Olive trees, cypresses and terraced vineyards supported by ancient dry-stone walls ... the Antico Podere Gagliole estate is a little jewel that holds all the charm of Tuscany. More than thirty years ago, the Swiss Monika and Thomas Bär were enchanted by the beauty of the Chianti Classico region. On the Gagliole estate in Castellina in Chianti, they finally found their second home and a new vocation.
Today, Gagliole has 22 hectares of vines that are cultivated according to organic guidelines. In addition to the top sites in the Conca d'Oro, they cultivate eight hectares of vines in Castellina, while the remaining four hectares are located in the no less famous Badia a Passignano abbey. (...)
We are also a little proud that the Bär family is entrusting us with their wines from this year onwards, because the international demand far exceeds the very limited supply. And last but not least, we have been able to obtain two matured vintages of Balisca and Gallule in magnum format for you from deep in our private cellar ...
