“Etichetta Bianca” Gavi del Commune di Gavi DOCG 2023
When a winery only makes two wines, the "second wine" is rarely of bad parents. This is also the case with Etichetta Bianca, which is hardly inferior to its bigger brother from the single vineyard Minaia. Delicately fruity nose of citrus and elder with a nice herbal spiciness. Soft and full on the palate, the fresh acid wire makes it a wonderful food companion. In the middle finish, the typical Bergaglio refinement and mineral vein. SUPERIORE.DE

A sparkling DOCG white wine from Piedmont, named after the municipality of the same name in the southeast of the province of Alessandria. The autochthonous grape variety is called Cortese, which is why Cortese di Gavi often appears on the label. The grape variety originates from the region in which wine-growing has been proven for a millennium, genetic evidence does not yet exist. In total, there are no more than just under 3,000 hectares, almost all of them in Piedmont.
Wines from the immediate vicinity of Gavi were called Gavi di Gavi, in simple terms: Gavi from Gavi, and were a direct hit because Gavi di Gavi became a cult wine for export.
Gavi is fruity with crunchy citrus aromas, also a little floral and has a very lively fruit-acid game, which is why you want to order the next glass immediately. Gavi is also available as Spumante and since 2010 as Riserva. The Gavi Riserva must be 100% Cortese and must be kept for at least one year, six months in the bottle. Gavi Spumante Metodo Classico is a very popular sparkling wine that must mature for at least two years, 18 months of which on the yeast in the bottle. Gavi is the ideal after-work wine, a wonderful appetizing aperitif. SUPERIORE.DE
