Greco Molise DOC 2023 (BIO)
According to Aristotle, the ancient clones of the Greco vine come from Tessaglia. The most famous among them is the "Aminea Gemina Maior", from which this wine is made. Lively brilliant straw yellow and a wide, intensely fruity bouquet. Versatile fruit aromas in the harmonious taste. SUPERIORE.DE

The Greco, with its straw yellow colour and brilliant reflections, has a distinct aroma spectrum, from the delicate scent of white fruit to notes of vanilla, bracken and mint. "Bright golden yellow in colour. Yellow apple and pear on the nose, light spice, some camomile and tangerine blossom. Refreshing, juicy and slightly salty on the palate, a little melting in the final, thus persistent, inviting drinking flow." Falstaff
"It has a lovely nose of pear, orange blossom and peach. Also some salted almond. It's medium-bodied, fresh and clean, with a smooth and creamy texture." James Suckling

What could be better for the Italophile white wine lover than a Greco di Tufo from the hands of the esteemed Piero Mastroberardino. The aroma of white peaches, melon and citrus fruits is inviting. The flavour is generous and typical, soft and mineral, but not heavy - carried by a controlled, lively acidity. SUPERIORE.DE
"A lithe, crisp white, with pretty flavors of ripe apple and pear meeting a tangy streak of pink grapefruit and lively acidity. The lingering finish echoes mineral and herb notes." Wine Spectator

“Cutizzi” Greco di Tufo Riserva DOCG 2022
After a year of ageing in the cellar, Feudi's famous Greco "Cutizzi" is labelled Riserva.
Intense, straw-yellow colour and a complex bouquet in which the aromas of melon and pineapple alternate with spicy notes of camomile, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, it is round with a rich texture and the pleasant mineral note so typical of the Tufo region. Elegant, long finish with a delicate almond flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with green reflections. Yellow peach and orange zest on the nose, delicate nuances of dandelion. Yellow-fruity, juicy and fresh on the palate, lively acidity, pleasantly salty on the finish." Falstaff
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi opens with an array of sweet white flowers, chamomile and crushed apples. It balances ripe fruit trees and green melon with salty mineral tones and tantalising acidity. The 2022 finishes with a saline tension and notes of nectarine." Vinous
"Elegant, fresh and dense, with a delicious acidity and a chalky base note that frames flavours of ripe mirabelle plums and nectarines, blanched almonds, aniseed, hyssop and preserved lemon." Wine Spectator
"This is a fine Greco. It's savoury, almondy, quinine, bitter and spicy, while subtly moving into stone fruit territory without going over the top. A tremor of mineral tension and shotgun acidity finds a nervous meeting with a stiff upper lip of richness. Convincing." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi is just the thing for a plate of raw fish with spicy wasabi sauce or tuna tartare. Aged exclusively in stainless steel, it has the subtle power and firmness to support generous flavours of pear, quince and honeydew melon. The mineral signature of the wine is very pronounced." Wine Advocate
"Floral, zesty and peachy, it has good intensity allied to lovely freshness and a very saline finish. Still very youthful, it deserves the chance to gain some more bottle age before opening; wait and you'll be rewarded." Decanter

“Alèxandros” Greco di Tufo DOCG 2022
Alexandros is a beautifully complex and expressive white from Campania. The aromas of light stone fruit, flowers and a fine minerality come together in the harmonious bouquet. Crisp clean taste with a fresh finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Alexandros is remarkably beautiful in the glass. An unobtrusive blend of young peach, melon and sweet smoke forms its bouquet. A lively acidity and mineral tones complete the ripe fruit that washes over the palate. The 2022 finishes fresh and medium-length, with lingering notes of candied lime." Vinous
"Vinosity, the highlight. Apricot peel, canned peach, nectarine pulp, tamarind and quince paste. The mid palate, powerful and thoroughly convincing. This is a fine Greco, even in the context of the vintage. It rides a wave of quince paste phenomena as well as the underlying touch of freshness." James Suckling

“Core” Bianco Campania IGT 2022
Wonderful cuvée of Greco and Fiano. An opulent potpourri of passion fruit, peach and honeydew melon on the nose. Not too heavy on the palate, but rather prancing and elegant with a wonderfully fresh structure. Beautiful balance, complex and full-bodied finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Here's a fun and versatile non-carbonated white wine to bring chilled to an al fresco lunch. A blend of equal parts Fiano and Greco, the Montevetrano 2022 Core Bianco has a lean approach with enough texture to support fragrant apples, honey and white currants. The wine's flavour palette is very nice, and the best part is the salty or mineral end note that adds a spark of energy." Wine Advocate
"A beautiful blend of Fiano and Greco, offering rich flavours of ripe fruit salad as well as notes of pressed flowers and minerals. Medium-bodied with an intense palate, including a phenolic note that gives it a structured feel." James Suckling
"The 2022 Bianco Core wafts up from the glass with a rich blend of peach preserves and confectionary spice, complicated by a hint of candied lime. This is soothingly round with a core of saline minerality to balance, as a core of zesty acidity enlivens tart orchard fruits. The 2022 tapers off with a tart lemon-pith concentration yet is also remarkably fresh, leaving nuances of mint to fade slowly." Vinous

“DUBL EDITION 1 BIANCO” Metodo Classico VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 out of an awareness of the great richness of the indigenous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. A consultant was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his flair for the specialities of the vines and vineyards.
A quarter of the base wines for this top product are aged for 6 months in oak barrels, after which the cuvée matures for two years in the bottle on the fine lees before being disgorged. Pale yellow in colour with a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light-coloured fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. Powerful and fresh on the palate, with a lovely spiciness and a potpourri of stone fruit, a fine honey note and roasted almonds. SUPERIORE.DE
"Complex nose with aromas of sweet lemons, apples, camomile, grapefruit and roasted notes. Dry, lively and crisp on the palate." Decanter
"This is a cuvée of Greco and Falanghina that matures on the lees for 36 months. The sparkling Feudi di San Gregorio NV Dubl Edition I Brut will be released in March 2023. “DUBL ESSE” Metodo Classico VSQ dosaggio zero
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. A quarter of the base wines of this top product is aged for 6 months in oak barrels, then the cuvée matures for 3 years in the bottle on the fine lees before it is disgorged. Strong light yellow and a super-fine perlage. On the nose, light fruit, yeasty notes and nuances of fresh bread. On the palate, powerful, fresh, with a nice spiciness and a potpourri of stone fruit, fine honey notes and toasted almonds. This sparkling wine does not need any dosage at all, it is extremely dry with all its aromatic diversity and for us, with its impressive finish, it is one of the very great Spumanti in Italy. “Stilèma” Greco di Tufo Riserva DOCG 2018
"The Stilèma project was born as a testimony of Antonio Mastroberardino's love for his land, his vines and his wines, for their original character." Piero Mastroberardino
The project aims to highlight the link between the vines, the wines and their territorial origins. In this way, the Mastroberardino family wants to recreate the style of winemaking of the autochthonous grape varieties of Irpinia (Greco, Fiano and Aglianico) that took place between the end of the 1950s and the beginning of the 1970s of the twentieth century for the Taurasi and between the years 1970 and 1980 for the two white wines from Irpinia. It is the unmistakable style (the stilèma) of a family that has interpreted the natural heritage of its territory over generations and today impressively highlights the genuine character of the terroir, which by no means can be expressed by high concentration and intensity alone.
Stilèma Greco di Tufo Riserva is a blend of grapes from the Montefusco, Tufo and Petruro Irpino vineyards. During the cellar processes, special attention was paid to the malolactic fermentation and the ageing phase, which give the wine density and consistency. Pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, notes of ripe fruit, lychee and grapefruit, yellow flowers, dried fruit and figs. Powerful but agile taste with a pronounced salty note, accompanied by a surprising freshness that gives it drinkability and finesse. It closes with a subtle and long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich straw yellow with greenish reflections. In the nose of tropical fruits, lychee and grapefruit, in the aftertaste iodine, flint and slightly herbal, very complex. On the palate filigree, very salty and fresh, drinky, with draught, long and mineral final." Falstaff
"The 2018 Greco di Tufo Riserva Stilèma is rich and sweet-smelling, captivating with a tropical blend of green melon and exotic flowers. On the palate, it flows with a medium-heavy texture that feels silky and shows mineral fruit and savoury spices. The 2018 finishes with admirable depth and concentration, ending with a saline feel and notes of lime and liquid stones. While enjoyable, this wine is still very young and needs further ageing to reveal its hidden charms." Vinous
"Peachy piney notes at the start, evolving into more pronounced notes of fresh white grapes, yellow peaches and minerals on the palate. Medium to full-bodied, bright and concentrated. An interesting and refined Greco." James Suckling
"Here is a new wine from Mastroberardino, and what a charming beauty it is. The 2018 Greco di Tufo Riserva Stiléma takes advantage of the new "Riserva" status and offers us a glimpse into the age-worthiness of Greco. It is a white wine with a soft texture and medium-weight approach. The bouquet shows a filigree of lemon curd, pastry cream, saffron and wet stone." Wine Advocate

“Giallo d’Arles” Greco di Tufo DOCG 2023
Bright, radiant golden yellow in colour. The aromas of this crus float weightlessly in the air and range from ripe banana, peach and marzipan to Amalfi lemons and quinces. The palate is creamy and surprisingly tannic for a white wine, with firm, crisp acidity and terrificcomplexity. Layer by layer, the components of this characterful white wine unfold into a refined potpourri that impressively demonstrates Luigi Moro's great class. A Greco di Tufo with huge ageing potential and, for us, like something from another planet. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright golden yellow with a slightly silvery touch. Intense nose of ripe tropical fruits, followed by a hint of tarragon and thyme. Smooth on entry, then opens up wide on the palate, rich fruit and electrifying acidity through to the long finish." Falstaff
"The youthful, shy Giallo D'Arles 2023 opens with a delicate, floral blend of young peaches, pears and a hint of spiced confectionery. It is silky-smooth yet light, with a flavoursome blend of white stone fruit and inner herbs that soothe the senses. It leaves a mineral note and a hint of sour lime and finishes dramatically long with a touch of vibrant acidity that brightens the palate." Vinous

The DUBL Metodo Classico Millesimato 2016 opens a new chapter in the historic collaboration between Poltrona Frau and Feudi di San Gregorio, which began in 2004 with the creation of some furnishings for the winery by the famous designers Lella and Massimo Vignelli. Three Italian excellence - the craftsmanship of Poltrona Frau, the timeless design of Vignelli and the winemaking expertise of Feudi di San Gregorio - come together once again to create an exclusive work of art, limited to 2,000 bottles.
A special wine was selected to celebrate the launch of the DUBL "Edizione Poltrona Frau" bottle: A Millesimato 2016, aged on the lees for more than eight years and made from 100% Greco grapes, a grape variety that has been prized since Roman times and is now one of Italy's most prestigious. The red leather label is handmade from production waste by Italy's most famous leather manufacturer, Poltrona Frau. Each individual label is applied by hand with the artisanal care that characterises both the leather processing and the long ageing process of the wine. SUPERIORE.DE

On the palate, it flows with a medium-weight texture that feels silky and shows mineral fruit and savoury spices. The 2018 finishes with admirable depth and concentration, ending with a saline feel and notes of lime and liquid stones. While enjoyable, this wine is still very young and needs further ageing to reveal its hidden charms." Vinous
"Peach-stained pinewood notes at first, developing to more clearly defined fresh white grapes, yellow peaches and minerals on the palate. Medium- to full-bodied, bright and focused.

The Greek on tuff rock. This is how this DOCG white wine from Campania is often explained. Whether the grapes actually came into the country with the Greeks is not really proven, however, there are also suspicions that Greco could descend from the ancient Roman main variety Aminea. The DOCG must be made from a minimum of 85% grapes of the Greco or Greco di Tufo variety and a maximum of 15% of the ancient Coda di Volpe Bianca grapes, which are also autochthonous.
The Italian white wine Greco di Tufo smells wonderfully intense of peaches and apricots, herbs and spices. The volcanic tuff rock is said to have aromas of almond oil and aniseed. Greco di Tufo is also available in very small quantities as a spumante in the Metodo Classico, i.e. with bottle fermentation and as a variant called Aversa, where the grape is referred to as Asprinio and in the traditional form of cultivation. "Alberata Aversana" can be pulled up to ten meters on trees.
Greco di Tufo is a universal food companion, which harmonises wonderfully with seafood, especially mussels. SUPERIORE.DE
