It impresses with the depth and intensity of its dark fruit and the outstanding overall balance that can only be found in this coveted vineyard. Its spectrum ranges from small dark berries to menthol, flowers and liquorice to a present tannin that is nevertheless trimmed to consistent elegance. It is a particularly precise and direct Barolo, without being loud. However, its full character, variety of flavours and finesse will only really come to the fore with further bottle ageing. Rabaja 2021 opens with beautiful richness, saturation and concentration. It is rich in dark fruits and bright cherries with a great textural richness, followed by sweet tannins and an attractive tight or firm structure.
