Forcole is produced in a surprisingly small quantity for a Chianti Classico - just 15,000 bottles. Every year, Cùmaro is one of the great Montepulciano wines from the Conero cliffs, which dip into the Adriatic Sea on a small headland, where the sun and sea breeze caress the vines. Radiant in a rich, dark garnet red colour. The expressive bouquet is dark berry with cassis, blueberry and ripe wild raspberry. This red classic comes from marl and clay-rich soils from the high and steep hills near Taurasi, not far from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The soils are rich in minerals and salts and give the Aglianico grape a wonderful depth and minerality.

The nose of Taurasi Pietrafusa is savoury and intense, with notes of crushed blackberries, citrus fruits, stones, sage and a stimulating mint. On the palate, the soft texture gains richness as it flows over the senses with notes of ripe black fruits, salty minerals and sweet herbal notes. The finish is long and structured, showing the wine's tannic power mixed with resonant acids and lingering dark fruits. This is a wine that can be cellared for five to ten years, but also has what it takes to last another decade. SUPERIORE.DE

Il Randagio (the stray) is wonderfully complex and nuanced. Initially quite closed, the delicately spicy nose creeps up with increasing aeration and opens further into a wonderfully complex bouquet of dark red to black berries. Rising floral, savoury and spicy accents point to a wine that says more about the style of the house than anything else. The palate is wide-ranging with delicate wild berry flavours, perfectly polished tannins and a fresh, very invigorating acid wire that uninhibitedly enhances the drinkability of this once again typically different red. Don't expect the typical Syrah, because this wine will surprise you with its liveliness and freshness, although it has the spiciness and drinkability typical of Syrah. The name (Love and Madness) expresses all the love for this grape, but also the courage to grow it in the Montalcino area. The name Da-Di is derived from the Chinese and means earth/soil. DA-DI bianco was born from the intuition of the owner Virginie Saverys to rediscover the vocation of the Cortona area for the production of great white wines from indigenous grapes, and summarises all of Avignonesi's love of experimentation.

It opens intensely in the glass with floral notes of wisteria and lime, white peach and gooseberry. On the palate, the attack is precise and straightforward. Lemon peel, mint and the complexity of wildflower honey come to the fore. The pronounced acidity makes it long and elegant. Hints of flint bring back mineral notes in the aftertaste. An exciting wine with a distinct and fresh personality. Around 2,000 bottles were produced. SUPERIORE.DE

Rami is an attractive and at the same time very individual blend of Grecanico and Inzolia. Bright golden yellow with a light, typical cloudiness of an orange wine and with an initially restrained-reductive bouquet, then with some aeration it smells sweetly of apricots, dried flowers and orange peel. This intellectual white needs time and a certain experience with natural wines - with the necessary portion of oxygen it is highly appetising and elegant on the palate. SUPERIORE.DE
