At Conterno Fantino, the Dolcetto grape is always processed with great sensitivity. Deep ruby violet colour. Aromas of crème de cassis, smoke, lavender and cloves. "The Dolcetto d'Alba Bricco Bastia 2022 is a very nice wine. Crushed blue fruits, menthol, liquorice and baking spices are beautifully highlighted in this delicate, understated Dolcetto. Like so many Dolcettos, the 2022 is more finesse than power." Vinous
"Aromas of ripe blueberries and mulberries with rose petals and peppery undertones. Medium body with a polished texture and fine tannins. Fresh and floral on the finish." James Suckling

Rudi Kofler (cellar master Cantina Terlano)

“del Pompiere” Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia IGT 2023
Mario Schiopetto was born in 1930, grew up in the family-owned Osteria ai Pompieri and gained his first professional experience as a fireman and later as a lorry driver. In 1963, guided only by his taste and love of wine, he began to dedicate himself to wine production in his parents' winery and produced the first pure Tocai in 1965. At the time, the historic label featured a drawing of his fire engine, which he also used to deliver the wine to customers. With the 2019 vintage, the winery returned to these historical roots and included the cute drawing on some of its wine labels.
The Ribolla Gialla brings a beautiful exotic flavour to the glass with notes of lemon, honey, orange blossom and melon. Full-bodied and juicy, clear and pure. You could almost say: a great(est) wine. SUPERIORE.DE

“Fallwind” Riesling Alto Adige DOC 2023
The evening fall winds of the Mendel Mountains characterise the entire terroir of the St. Michael-Eppan winery. They ensure cool nights and give the grapes the extraordinary characteristics that characterise the aromas, unmistakable freshness and longevity of the wines. The fall wind is the natural force that blows over the vineyard every day, positively influencing the climate and supporting the valuable work of the winegrowers at the cooperative winery.
The Fallwind wines are ambassadors of their terroir and reflect the strengths of the growing region in a unique way. Most of them are from selected vineyards that have been cultivated for centuries. Strict quality guidelines, low yields, intensive manual labour in the vineyard and gentle and individual ageing in the cellar make them what they are: Characterful, precise and unique wines with varietal characteristics that will win over every connoisseur.
Fallwind Riesling is an extremely elegant wine. Germany's favourite grape has found the ideal terroir in parts of South Tyrol. Riesling places high demands on the location and prefers a cool but very sunny climate. The porphyry soils there give it fruit, minerality and an ideal acid backbone. SUPERIORE.DE
"A delicate and restrained riesling that’s well made and gently fresh. Aromas of lemon leaves, tangerines and white peaches, then zesty on the palate with a medium body and a tight, precise finish." James Suckling

“Ruspoli” Chianti Classico DOCG 2022 (BIO)
Rich ruby red colour. Bouquet of rose hips and ripe raspberries, juicy and gripping on the palate. For us, another beautiful facet of Chianti Classico, just as it should be: authentic, drinky and excellent value! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with a subtly brightening rim. Briefly reductive on the nose, then opens up to lush wild berries and fine spice, with a slight hint of sage and dried ginger. Beautiful juiciness and compact fruit on the palate, savoury, comes in several layers, classic." Falstaff
"A juicy, fruity and bright Chianti Classico with wild berries, dried herbs and some dried flowers, developing into a medium body with fine tannins. Juicy yet structured and compact. Focused finish with excellent length." James Suckling

“Il Rosé di Casanova” Toscana IGT 2023 (BIO)
Subtle rose bouquet with hints of musk, dried peaches and apricots. Juicy flavour with wonderful flanking acidity that gives it freshness and effervescence. The Sangiovese grape adds the necessary dose of tannin and structure, making it an excellent accompaniment to food. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2023 Il Rosé di Casanova is exotic and unmistakable. Almost Sauvignon Blanc-like in character, it develops notes of kiwi, gooseberry, grapefruit, thyme and tomato leaves. Bright, fleshy and slightly grippy, it leaves an absolutely dry, bitter flavour in the mouth (in a good way) that demands another sip. A tropical hint of mango and papaya lingers on the finish." Vinous
"This has a peach-pink color, with stone fruit, dried orange and dried flower aromas and flavors. Crunchy and minerally on the palate, with a medium body and attractive salinity at the end." James Suckling

“Terre di San Leonardo” Rosso Dolomiti IGT 2021
The grapes for this delightful red cuvée of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère come exclusively from the estate's own vineyards. Terre offers present notes of black cherry, spices and blackberry. It is a moody, lively and very fruit-accentuated red that will give a lot of pleasure over the next few years! SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense ruby red colour with limited transparency. Very fragrant and elegant on the nose of forest fruits, cherries, thyme and sage, with a slight undergrowth note. Fresh and juicy on the palate with a medium structure, fine-grained tannins and a fruity final." Falstaff
"On the nose, savoury spices, dried leaves, red plums, charcoal, redcurrants and iron. Juicy and fine-grained on the palate, with a medium body and a juicy, peppery finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carmenere." James Suckling

“Vecchie Vigne” Soave DOC 2021
Wonderfully complex Soave from vines over 20 years old. Sparkling light yellow colour with green reflections. A restrained, reductive bouquet of bitter almond, flint, jam with white and yellow fruit flesh, dried fruit and biscuits. The palate is dry, warm and soft, yet fresh, spicy and slightly astringent, with a full, balanced body. With increasing aeration, it reveals its great complexity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Smells of chamomile and honey, just a teeny bit smoky. Beeswax texture, dense and fondu smooth, but the flavours are anything but. It's fireworks, a kaleidoscope of pepper and sage, candied citrus peel and grilled yuzu. Aloe and lanolin. Pear and tofu curds. Green almonds and walnut. Wonderful saltiness and great tension shaping the finish into long, intent focus." Jancis Robinson
"This Soave is characterised by its indelible concentration, its compact balance and its impeccable details. Complex notes of cardamom, cherries, quince, tamarind and smoked curry leaves. An intoxicating substance. The skilful handling of the skin and careful crafting have produced a style that stands out from the crowd so much that it attracts the drinker in search of loyalty to place and a real point of difference. A whirlwind of intoxicating complexity. A wine for the nerd, the thrill-seeker and the everyday drinker all at once." James Suckling
