"The 2021 expresses the conditions of the vintage with an overall density, but remains balanced and agile. In-house Oenologist Giuseppe Rigoli explains that a small portion of the grapes were harvested very early to preserve freshness and the rest were brought in by the end of September. He also carried out a slightly shorter maceration of 15 days (compared to 20 days in 2020). The wine opens with a hint of vanilla and then moves into mint and violets. The sandy tannins envelop the concentrated red berries and grip powerfully on the finish. The original quality of the fruit shines through and the savoury nuances remain." Decanter

Maurizio Castelli does not like fancy names. That's why he took a simple but original approach when naming the estate and his top wine: 414, which is the number of the vineyard in the region's land register. The owner of Selvapiana, Francesco Giuntini, and the owner of the Petrognano winery, Cecilia Galeotti Ottieri, have enjoyed a long friendship. Their small winery on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna is located in the centre of the Pomino DOC, which was first mentioned in a document in 1716 and is one of the first four protected appellations in Tuscany (alongside Rufina Classico, Carmignano and Valdarno Superiore). For some years now, the two have been linked by the "Villa Petrognano" project, under which one of the region's most authentic and best Pomino Rosso wines is produced under the aegis of Selvapiana.

Tenuta Missoj is a small winery in Mizzole with just 3.5 hectares of vineyards and is owned by the Campagnola family. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 200 metres on a well-ventilated and exposed hill, where the grapes can reach perfect and complete ripeness. The new prestige wine Valpolicella Ripasso "Tenuta di Missoj" comes from these soils, which already impressively showcased the typical characteristics of the appellation in the 2019 debut vintage.

The name La Rivetta has become a symbol of an excellent terroir. La Rivetta 120 stands for a special synergy of soil, microclimate and tradition, which is enhanced by 120 days of maturation on the lees. This is reflected in a brilliant yellow colour with a slight greenish tinge and a fine, delicate perlage. The aroma is reminiscent of Granny Smith apples, wisteria and acacia blossom. Lezér means "light" and so it is - in the most delicate sense. Light ruby red in colour, red berries and an interesting hint of violets on the nose.
