“Vigna Flaminia Maremmana” Rosso Montefalco DOC 2020 · MAGNUM in OWC
"Sweet herbs, dusty black cherries and a hint of smoke make the 2020 Montefalco Rosso Vigna Flaminia a real pleasure on the nose. It feels silky and elegant, with red and blue fruits carried by a saline acidity and balsamic herbs that build towards the finish. A slightly bitter aftertaste lingers, while the mouth remains watery and the blackcurrant notes slowly fade." Vinous
"Aromas of grilled plums, figs and roasted herbs. Full-bodied with grainy tannins. Woody spice on the palate is supported by well ripened red and black fruits. Dense." James Suckling

“Acininobili” Passito Bianco Veneto IGT 2018 dolce
Acininobili Bianco Passito is a stunning interpretation of the indigenous Vespaiola grape, offering impressive depth, complexity and personality. It is a superb dessert wine made from grapes that were air-dried for up to 120 days after harvest and developed Botrytis cinerea during the careful appassimento process. Basically, the same Vespaiola grapes are used here that are used for Torcolato. At the end of the drying process, the grapes that have developed noble rot are hand-selected and passed into this precious wine. If the noble rot does not appear, this wine is not made.
The rare result is truly exceptional with a deep aroma of candied orange peel, maple syrup and golden honey. Monumental and viscous in the drink, this alien elixir coats the palate with smooth and even waves of magnificent intensity. This is grape juice in purezza! SUPERIORE.DE
"Not too sweet, the 2018 Acininobili Bianco Passito is in fact special in its delivery of sweetness versus complexity, with dried fruit, apricot, honey, beeswax and tropical fruit. This viscous, full-bodied expression of Vespaiola shows some light spice and toasted almond." Wine Advocate
"Quite a discreet and restrained nose for this subtle passito. Fine honeysuckle, apricot, pickled kumquat with subtle sultanas and turmeric. Also some wet stones and butterscotch. The palate is supple and silky with a lovely gliding acidity. Great balance with quite a long, lively finish. Quite effortless." James Suckling

“Villa Gemma” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva DOC 2017
Seductive bouquet of exotic sweet spices, pickled cherries and minty herbs. Juicy and deep on the palate, with an abundance of ripe red fruits stimulated by a lively acidity, while rosy tones build inside over a layer of fine but sweet tannins. In the long and lightly structured final, bitter notes mix with sour citrus fruits, which in combination with the fine extract sweetness creates all kinds of tension. Very energetic and complex. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark violet with minimal lightening rim. Medium expression on the nose, on roasted malt, walnuts, plus chocolate powder, reverberating on Amarena cherry and pickled plums. Nice creaminess and compact tannin on the palate, spans a wide arc, savoury in attack and progression, rich finish with minimal aftertaste." Falstaff
"The 2017 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva is a dark beauty with balsam herbs giving way to spiced cookie, hints of cinnamon and citrus-kissed black cherries. It’s incredibly elegant in character with silken waves of ripe red and black fruits complemented by sweet spice. This saturates the palate with sweet tannins that create a structured feel, yet fail to slow the 2017’s momentum throughout the long and dramatic finale. There’s so much balance and intensity here, making the 2017 a sure bet for the cellar." Vinous

“Pieluni” Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva Colline Teramane DOCG 2017
True to the style of the house, the Riserva Pieluni has an excellent structure. Spicy, interwoven fruit aromas, underpinned by a fine hint of vanilla, intensify in the strikingly deep and long taste. The dense, pleasant tannin underlines the elegance of the top product of Illuminati from the Colline Teramane, probably Abruzzo's best denomination for Montepulciano. SUPERIORE.DE

“Dut' un” Bianco Venezia Giulia IGT 2021
Dut' un is a full-bodied cuvée of Chardonnay and Sauvignon with generous texture, built high with layers of orchard fruit, lime, apricot, cooked pear, spice, custard and lemon mousse. It is a great wine that relies on its geographical provenance and the vineyard's well-draining limestone-clay soils for its flavour intensity and purity. The 8-month maturation on the lees gives it its creamy character and firm structure. For all its fruitiness and complexity, it has a distinct minerality and freshness that will allow it to mature wonderfully. SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense, shiny light gold colour. Great nose of ripe pineapple, citrus fruit, some tangerine, flint, wet stone. On the palate with great juiciness and a compact core, acidity and fruit are well balanced, powerful, slightly phenolic finish, can age for a long time." Falstaff
"An intense and complex wine with notes of cotton candy, Mirabelle plums, straw and candied citrus. It has a medium body, crisp acidity and a velvety texture due to both weight and structure." James Suckling

“Montevetrano” Rosso Colli di Salerno IGT 2018
Silvia Imparato's noble Montevetrano is one of Riccardo Cotarella's first creations and certainly one of his most important to this day. Deep ruby red with violet reflections. Rich aromas of dark plums, blackcurrants, cedar, graphite and minerals on the captivating nose. Clean, fresh, juicy on the palate with an engaging, refined texture. There are liquorice and violet aromas on the long, graceful and layered finish. A very promising, still young Montevetrano with a great future! SUPERIORE.DE
"There’s a decidedly floral and spicy character to the 2018 Montevetrano (Colli di Salerno) that captivates the senses and pulls you close to the glass. Its fruit is more lifted and high-toned than usual, as blackberries mix with currants and crushed violets. A wave of stone dust and minerals translates directly from the nose to the palate, as its initially-silky textures are quickly firmed up by a core of strict acidity and grippy tannins that settle in toward the close. This is incredibly long but also achingly structured, currently holding back much of its fruit, and instead showing inner rose tones and hints of black tea. The 2018 will require a number of years to fully blossom; yet once it does, you can expect a very pretty and perfumed vintage of Montevetrano." Vinous
"A suave, full-bodied red, with plush tannins firming the rich blackberry coulis and blueberry fruit. It's layered and harmonious, with hints of bay leaf, graphite and mineral unfurling on the palate and through to the racy finish." Wine Spectator
"A red with plum and cherry character with hints of bark, mushroom and clove. It’s full-bodied with layers of fruit and a long, flavorful finish. Needs time to soften, but structured and beautiful. Such finesse with strength. Really impressive. Try after 2022." James Suckling

“Contrada Marchesa” Rosso Etna DOC 2019
Alongside Fragore, Etna-Cru Donnafugata, named after the Contrada Marchesa vineyard of the same name, is Donnafugata's second top wine from the volcano. Its label is adorned with a volcano goddess decorated with flowers and fruit, next to which is the medieval village of Castiglione di Sicilia. The Nerello vines grow on a lava soil rich in minerals, and the location to the north of the volcano ensures temperate summers with strong temperature fluctuations between day and night.
This single-varietal Nerello presents itself in a light ruby red colour and reveals a generous bouquet of small red berries, spicy notes (cinnamon and black pepper) and undergrowth, followed by balsamic nuances and a delicate mineral vein. On the palate, in addition to its structure, the indescribable balance, convincing freshness and ultra-fine tannins are a delight. This great wine glides aristocratically and full of elegance into a deep finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Exudes a sensual aroma of forest fruits with notes of smoke and sandalwood; pithy on the palate, robust tannins, juicy, compact texture, balanced and long final. Combines character and length." Vinum
"A wine that expresses ripe cherries and raspberries with intense, dusty tannins, earthy depth and a very vertical, mineral palate." Decanter
"The Donnafugata 2019 Etna Rosso Contrada Marchesa offers obvious oak spice, especially at this early stage, and the wine will certainly need more time in bottle, even just another year, to develop. There is dark fruit and blackcurrant, but also cinnamon and sweet nutmeg. The finish is dense and structured." Wine Advocate

“Guidalberto” Toscana IGT 2022
Since Guidalberto has been vinified from its own grapes, most of which also grow in the Sassicaia DOC monopoly position, San Guido's "second wine" has grown beyond itself. Spicy, earthy bouquet with hints of tobacco, clove and lavender, dense and juicy on the palate with fresh red and black berry fruit. The tannins are well balanced and the finish is complex with a majestic elegance that will become even more refined with years of ageing in the bottle. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Guidalberto is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and has its own vines, some of which are inside and some outside the Sassicaia DOC. A very subtle wine with ripe, charming fruit and a velvety texture. It is more elegant and refined than before." Weinwisser
"Gently shining ruby red colour. Multi-layered bouquet, opens on ripe wild berries, redcurrant, notes of juniper, cedar and black pepper, a touch of lilac. Silky attack, precise fruit on very well-integrated, fine tannins, elegant and with gentle pressure in the long final." Falstaff
"The 2022 is full of aromas of herbs and sea breeze amid bright, tangy berries. In the mouth, it is savoury and precise, with a juiciness to the concentrated core of plums and black berries and a gracefulness to the tannin and acidity structures that weave through it. Juicy and incredibly flavoursome, with a wonderfully ripe red berry finish, this wine really stands on its own two feet." Decanter
"Lots of mint with sage and fresh rosemary to go with the redcurrants and oranges on the nose, as well as some ripe raspberries. The palate is very refined with creamy and crisp tannins that run the length of the wine. It shows a crisp and energetic personality. It should be given another year or two to develop, but it is already very good for the vintage." James Suckling
"The Guidalberto 2022 gives you a good taste of the same DNA that gives us one of Italy's greatest wines, Sassicaia, but it is offered here in a more immediate style. This warm vintage opens with a medium-dark concentration and very powerful aromas that immediately remind you of blackberries and blackcurrants lying in the sun at the farmers' market. The wine shows a soft and gentle side with a nice level of elegance conveyed by the freshness of the fruit and the slight oak spice that is noticeable here, but with grace." Wine Advocate
"This red wine is elegant, despite its firm structure and dense tannins. The flavours of black cherry, blackcurrant, plum, tobacco, iron and rosemary hold court, with all components balanced. The finish is long, with a salty flavour." Wine Spectator

Chianti Classico DOCG 2021 (BIO) · MAGNUM in OWC
The vineyards in Gaiole and Greve form the core of the blend, with a hint of fruit from Radda. On the nose, floral aromas and red fruits in the super-classic, medium-bodied style that is so typical of the Querciabella style today. Rose petals, lavender, mint and sweet raspberry fruit take centre stage. Brilliant medium ruby red colour. Enormous density on the palate, firm fruit body, with great youthful, fresh temperament, paired with a certain finesse and elegance. Finishes long with notes of juicy red berries, great! SUPERIORE.DE
"This wine has a fresh character with ripe cherries and raspberries as well as dried flowers, bark and stones. Polished and structured with medium body and lively acidity. Focused and fresh with chalky tannin structure and a linear finish with notes of citrus and minerals." James Suckling
"This red is precise, offering cherry, raspberry, rose, iron and tobacco flavors fused to a steely, dense and vibrant structure. Balanced and intense, building to a long aftertaste infused with fruit and mineral notes." Wine Spectator
"The Chianti Classico 2021 is fabulous. Bright and powerful, with great resonance, this wine shows how convincing the vintage is. harvestwill find a Chianti Classico of dynamic energy and volume. Dark red cherries, purple fruit, lavender, rose petals, spice and a gentle kiss of French oak lead into a lush, vibrant finish. Outstanding." Vinous

Oseleta Veneto IGT 2013
"The 2013 Oseleta is dark and brooding, but also seductive, with balsamic spices, cocoa and mentholated herbs giving way to cinnamon-dusted blackcurrants. It envelops the palate with a silky fruit texture, but quickly gains tension as a stimulating acidity and sour citrus nuances meet under a hint of rosy inner flowers. It finishes structured and coats the cheeks with fine-grained tannins, while traces of liquorice and tobacco fade. The 2013 Oseleta is a wild wine that is still years away from its optimal drinking window. That said, I doubt the acidity will ever recede, so plan to enjoy it with a savoury stew or a fatty cut of meat." Vinous
"Tantalising aromas of baked cherries with dried red and purple flowers follow through to a tight and concentrated, medium-bodied palate with plenty of fruit and still active tannins. The finish is crisp and quite tart. For a 10-year-old red wine, it seems so young. It comes from one of the traditional red grapes in the Amarone blend and shows here what it can do as a soloist." “Montiano” Merlot Lazio IGP 2020
Intense, seductive aroma of sweet spices, tobacco, dark cherries and wild berries. The flavour is perfectly matched by enormous elegance, rich fruit, complexity, structure and length. A wonderful, taut and highly polished Merlot. SUPERIORE.DE
"Ruby red at the core with garnet-red edges. Ripe blackberry and blackcurrant on the nose, then slightly vanilla-like and leathery from the wood ageing. Full-bodied on the palate with supple tannins, very elegant and with a long, spicy final." Falstaff
"The 2020 Merlot Montiano is youthfully dark and brooding, shimmering from the glass with an exotic blend of crushed black raspberries, blueberries, blood oranges and incense. This wine is elegant and refined. Brilliant acidity enlivens a core of vibrant ripe red and blue fruits. A chalky hint of violet pastille envelops the palate. It is incredibly long and colours the final, with sweet tannins perfectly framing the experience without slowing its momentum. This sun-drenched vintage of Montiano Merlot aims to please without ever losing its balance." Vinous
"The chocolate, red fruit and subtle cedar character is vivid and impressive but all in check. It’s medium- to full-bodied with a creamy and polished texture and a flavorful finish. Dark chocolate and black olive undertones. Balanced and refined." James Suckling
"The marvellously inimitable volcanic temperament of Montefiascone for an exceptional red wine, a Merlot of density, fruit and tension. "The Montevetrano 2019 captivates with a rich blend of brown spices, tobacco, cherries soaked in rum, menthol and mint. It is classy and polished, with textures of pure silk and a massive core of dark red and black fruits that slowly saturate the palate. The 2019 finishes classically dry and incredibly long, with fine-grained tannins framing nuances of wild blueberries and sage. What a beauty. The 2019 Montevetrano is a beautifully composed blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Aglianico and 20% Merlot." Vinous
"This wine is one of the icons of southern Italy. It maintains its timeless character over the years, in good vintages as well as bad. The 2019 Montevetrano embodies the charisma and elegance of the very good vintage recorded in Campania with cool nights, good humidity and average summer temperatures. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Aglianico and 20% Merlot from a five hectare site with clay soils. The bouquet reveals dark cherries and black plums with baker's chocolate and exotic spices. The Aglianico gives the wine a particular black fruit quality that is almost tarry, and this grape comes through particularly well in the blend, as it should, being one of the original "Super Campania" wines." "From a very warm and sunny vintage, the 2020 Montevetrano is a robust, soft and full-bodied expression with concentrated and very ripe fruit. The wine starts with lots of baked blackberry and plum, then moves into sweet spice and campfire ash." Wine Advocate
"The 2020 Montevetrano is remarkably pretty, wafting up with a rose-tinged array of black cherries, exotic spices and cedar shavings, complicated by hints of balsam herbs. This is a total pleasure on the palate, velvety in texture yet lifted in feel with depths of dark red fruits and tactile mineral tones. A collection of fine tannins amasses toward the close. It finishes long and classically structured, with a pleasantly bitter tinge that puckers the cheeks and a bump of residual acidity that keeps the mouth watering for more. The 2020 is supremely elegant yet refined. It’s geared up for a long, steady evolution." Vinous
"An elegant red with a ripe, appealing dark core of blackberry compote, black plum reduction, liquorice, tea leaf and dried mint. The frame of soft tannins and supple acidity is smooth and well blended, while the finish reveals lingering notes of minerals, tobacco and ground coffee. Marvellous." Wine Spectator

“Jo” Negroamaro Salento IGT 2021
Brilliant, elegant ruby colour with a delicately brightening rim. Dense and opulent on the nose with aromas of plum liqueur, ripe red cherry, milk chocolate, tobacco, cedar and a hint of cinnamon. Like velvet and silk on the palate, finishing with noble, sweet tannins, a fine salty vein and great length. Quite astonishing splendour and yet never fat or saturating. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling ruby colour with a slightly light rim. Expressive nose with notes of fresh plums, mulberries, blood orange and lots of cloves. Rich, dark berry fruit on the palate, opens with dense tannins in fine layers, again emphasising spicy components on the final." Falstaff
"Flavours of cola, leather, fruit salad and salted chocolate, but on the palate the soft texture and medium body are supported by a refreshing, almost crisp acidity." James Suckling

“Sondraia” Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2019
Sondraie, from which the wine takes its name, is a large plateau from Aurelia to Bellaria in the north of the appellation and one of the best sites for Cabernet in Bolgheri. The Oenologist Luca d'Attoma is considered one of the best interpreters of Cabernet Franc in Italy and his wines are always a clear buy. Bright violet colour. The nose is leafy, with dark chocolate and a characteristic aroma of coffee powder, plus blueberry, raspberry, black cherry and undergrowth. On the palate, melted cloves and cassis in perfect balance. Smooth and ripe, with a hint of chalk thanks to the oak tannins on the finish. Amazingly fresh and endlessly long, simply superb! SUPERIORE.DE
"Offers a potpourri of notes of blueberries, chocolate, leather and herbs; the attack is pithy, the tannins robust, ripe acidity, finishes superbly on notes of Mediterranean scrub, blackberries and chocolate." Vinum
"Intense, full garnet ruby colour. Complex on the nose with aromas of tar, dark chocolate, compact oak and lots of dark fruit. Polished and elegant on the palate, precise in the fruit, striking freshness, with young but very fine-grained tannins, still needs some time, but with plenty of ageing potential." Falstaff
"Powerful and firm tannins that set the stage for blackberries, blackcurrants, coffee, iron and a hint of dark chocolate. Smooth and balanced, with a dusty, bitter cocoa finish." Wine Spectator
"The Bolgheri Superiore Sondraia 2019 is a powerful, rather sombre wine. In this tasting, the 2019 stands out due to its extracted style and stronger oak character, which do not allow the wine to show its best side. Notes of dark red fruits, spices, tobacco, espresso and torrefaction unfold in the glass. All in all, this is a very good wine." Vinous
"Aromas of fresh herbs such as parsley and nettles, blackcurrants. Pure and concentrated. Full-bodied with beautiful polished tannins that are tailored and concentrated. Delicious finish. Beautiful balance and delicious for a young wine." James Suckling
"A fleshy, savoury bouquet gets its freshness from herbal and stony undertones, while a hint of salt and pepper adds pep. The palate becomes sweeter, with black cherries and chocolate, but retains the salt and pepper backbone. The tannins are tightly wrapped around a strong acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"Although the price has risen sharply due to demand, Sondraia is still one of the best wines in Bolgheri. This 2019 is extremely youthful, with estery notes on the nose, enhanced by restrained but layered and concentrated blackberry fruit, as well as menthol and chocolate in the depths. The attack is fleshy and firm rather than supple. Full-bodied, with angular tannins and firm acidity." Decanter
"The Poggio al Tesoro 2019 Bolgheri Superiore Sondraia makes excellent use of oak ageing, resulting in soft tannins, sumptuous richness and attractive concentration. The wine is very well made overall, with plenty of black fruit balanced by spices and tobacco. Its important structure suggests a long ageing period." Wine Advocate

"Textbook spiced traminer nose with lots of scents and spices. Litchi, cantaloupe, roses, freshly cut vanilla and cinnamon spices. Soft, dry and medium to full-bodied on the palate with low, creamy acidity and a long, flavourful finish full of lychee and white roses." James Suckling

“Poggio ai Merli” Merlot Toscana IGT 2018
Poggio ai Merli is a single-varietal Merlot that relies entirely on the terroir of central Tuscany and consistently embodies the Castellare style. Pure, clear, with refinement, elegant and free of fashionable monotony. SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense, rich garnet. In the nose of delicate fragrance of ripe blackberry, some mint and a touch of oak, in the reverberation of varnish. Shows on the palate with rich pressure and gripping course, well-integrated wood supports the drink, rich and slightly salty, currently still young, should spend some more time in the bottle." Falstaff
"A juicy red with lots of ripe-fruit and citrus undertones to the smoked oak. Medium to full body, chewy tannins and a fruity finish. It’s a little disjointed now, so needs a few years to come together. But excellent potential in this pure merlot." James Suckling
"The 2018 Poggio ai Merli is stunning for the way it combines the fruit intensity of Merlot with the structure of Chianti Classico and the vibrancy of the year. What a wine. Inky blue/purplish fruit, grilled herbs, menthol, licorice, black pepper and earthy flavors all race through this deep, potent Merlot from Castellare. Even with all of its intensity, the 2018 retains striking freshness and tons of verve." Vinous

“Il Sasso” Carmignano DOCG 2021 · MAGNUM in OWC
Intense, compact, ruby red colour. An intense mixture of black raspberry, wild herbs, air-dried meat, thyme and smoke flows from the glass. Refined and lively on the palate with delicate, salty acidity and berry fruit flavours. As it progresses, a beautiful cherry centre with a hint of sweet blood orange that keeps you coming back to the glass. This is already a pure thrill for the palate, and with further bottle ageing it will reveal its full depth and sophistication. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich, bright ruby red colour with a light garnet hue. On the nose, rich heart cherries and ripe plums, then cassis and slightly leathery. Sweet and fruity on the palate, with velvety tannins, juicy and drinky, long finish." Falstaff
"Rich redcurrants, baked cherries, some sweet spices and hazelnuts. Lots of juicy fruit on the medium to full-bodied palate with firm tannins and a fleshy centre. Spicy, ripe finish at the end." James Suckling
"This red is about purity and silkiness, with black currant, cherry, violet, graphite and rosemary aromas and flavors defined by vibrant acidity. Harmonious, with fine length, this is set to evolve over the next decade." Wine Spectator
"The Carmignano Il Sasso 2021 impresses with its rich bouquet of crushed plums, sage and balsamic spice. On the palate it is pure energy, silky yet supple with racy acidity and a depth of crunchy wild berries, underpinned by tactile minerals and a hint of mandarin orange. The 2021 refreshes the palate and finishes structured and long, while purple flowers and blackberry notes fade away. This super seductive Il Sasso will win many hearts." Vinous

“Sultana” Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC 2021 (BIO)
The Nero d'Avola grapes for the very rare Sultana come from a steeply sloping, bush-shaped vineyard facing north-west. The soil here is white with a limestone matrix, rich in minerals and drainage capacity. The pronounced slope and very poor soil reinforce the pedoclimatic characteristics in which the Nero d'Avola plants find a natural habitat. It is an extreme terroir, a combination of environmental and human factors, that distinguishes the Sultana vineyard from other vineyards. The light reflected by the white soils enhances the characteristics and ultimately the quality of the grapes from the vineyard. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, bright ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Intense aromas of cherries, raspberries and blackcurrants on the nose, accompanied by herbal flavours, cocoa and dark chocolate. Great juiciness and flow on the palate, good balance between freshness and tannins, ending with cherry fruit in the finish." Falstaff
"Deep purple in colour and significantly darker than the Vigna Guarnaschelli of the same vintage. Concentrated nose of sour cherry and raspberry with chalky notes. Juicy, lively, almost tart cherry and raspberry fruit, with a dose of grippy tannins on the finish, suggesting that this wine needs more age. Much less full-bodied than its 15% would suggest. It is currently more approachable than the Vigna Guarnaschelli." Jancis Robinson
"The nose is warm, recalling damp earth and macerated cherries, with some peppery spice. It's bold and vibrant in the mouth, with fresh and dried dark cherries and berries alongside a balsamic note, lifted floral hints, juicy acidity and fine, woody structure. The finish is persistent and fresh – with a bit of warmth – and there's no sign of jamminess despite its richness and heft." Decanter
"The Vigna Sultana 2021 is smoky in the glass, with a burst of grilled herbs, ash stones and spices giving way to black raspberry and sour citrus fruit. It's soft, supple and soothingly round with tart wild berries and savoury minerals for balance. A core of lively acidity keeps things tidy. The 2021 has a long finish and retains a lovely freshness. It leaves grippy tannins and a savoury feel under a hint of sweet violets and lavender on the finish." Vinous
"Spectacular aromas of hibiscus, lemon blossom, raspberry and red liquorice. Lots of crushed red berries. Medium body with fine, flattering tannins. Bright acidity on the finish. A triumph." James Suckling

“Oreno” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020 (BIO)
2020 is the first organic Oreno vintage. Deep dark ruby violet. On the nose, cassis, blackcurrant and a powerful herbal spice with a good dose of pipe tobacco, tar and crushed boulders. On the palate, dark berries, chocolate and a cornucopia of herbs define the full body. This juicy wine monument has precisely integrated tannins, an enormous silkiness and a seemingly endless finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Oreno is the top wine of the Tenuta Sette Ponti of the Moretti Cuseri family. The estate is located near Arezzo. The Oreno 2020 consists of 50 % Merlot, 40 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 10 % Petit Verdot. It is matured for 18 months in French oak barriques. Dense and clear, as well as with beautiful race, the Oreno presents itself somewhat finer than the Orma from the sister estate from the Maremma. Clearly more fresh and with more acid kick, the Oreno shines with a fleshy presence and great sweetness. The tannins are somewhat rounder, with good, creamy richness and solid length. In the finish, it seems a little slippery." Weinwisser
"Bright ruby red. The nose smells softly of blackberries, ripe forest fruits, some liquorice and mint, plus fine sealing wax in the reverberation. On the palate radiant, clear, tightly woven tannin, plus present fruit, very juicy on the back end, seems balanced and profound, long finish." Falstaff
"Beautiful detail on the nose, a sweet floral scent with hints of dried herbs, coffee and mint. Structured and fleshy, this wine has weight and power from the start, focusing more on the tannins and concentration of the crisp fruit than the obvious vibrancy at this stage. A serious, contemplative wine that has a lot going for it. I love the intensity of this wine, it is confident and has a clear direction and energy. I also like the salty, smoked stone flavour at the end, which adds nuance and a sense of place. Detailed and expressive, great winemaking and there's a lot to discover." Decanter
"The Tenuta Sette Ponti 2020 Oreno from a warm vintage is very rich and full-bodied and definitely softer compared to the previous 2019 vintage. This wine shows lots of savoury fruit and velvety concentration with blackberry jam and baked cherry. The Oreno gives you a very generous expression of Tuscany to enjoy over the short or medium term." Wine Advocate
"The Oreno 2020 is a dark, brooding beauty. Black cherry, plum, tobacco, spices, menthol, liquorice and dried herbs race across the palate. Deep, fleshy and very expressive, the 2020 Oreno has a lot to offer. It should drink well with minimal cellaring, but also has enough substance to drink well for many years to come." Vinous
"This wine is lush, dense and vibrant, with aromas of black cherries, blackberries and blackcurrants accompanied by mineral, cedary and spicy elements. It firms up on the finish, with fruity, mineral and spicy accents and a nice length." Wine Spectator
"Wow. Wonderful nose of dark cherries, chocolate and spices; deep texture, the tannins fine-grained, cushioned by the acidity, of great length with a multi-faceted finish that makes you want to take another sip. Excellent." Vinum
"A red wine with a layered, velvety texture, showing blackberry and black olive character, plus some iodine and graphite. Full-bodied and rich with lots of fruit and chewy tannins." James Suckling
