Markus Prackwieser is undoubtedly one of those winegrowers who have a clear vision of their work. In 2000, the South Tyrolean took over the long-established estate from his father Johann, who until then had sold his entire harvest to co-operatives. The then 28-year-old Markus decided to break new ground and process his grapes himself. Today, he produces wines that authentically express the unique landscape and the people who created it.

The Gump Hof is a small but fine family winery that can certainly compete with the large South Tyrolean co-operatives. After the tasting, we realised that it is above all the wines themselves that prove that Markus Prackwieser knows exactly what he is doing.
