Bernardina is a wine with an interesting history. The Bernardina vineyard was once part of a 600-hectare estate belonging to a noble family who did not care much for wine. When the appellation boundaries for Barolo were established, this family never lobbied to become part of the area now registered for the production of Barolo DOCG. Today, the vineyard is managed by the Ceretto family, who have instead focussed on the production of Nebbiolo d'Alba. Nebbiolo d'Alba is an appellation in which the grapes from the Barolo and Barbaresco wine regions have been declassified and which is becoming increasingly popular.

Fragrant and floral with aromas of rose petals, violets and wild berries. The finish is polished and clean with hints of smoke, liquorice and tar. The wine has had a short maturation period in barriques, which gives it impressive complexity and length. SUPERIORE.DE

Villa di Capezzana is considered one of the longest-lived wines in Tuscany, with a vertical tasting of 20 vintages dating back to 1937 - none of the vintages showed any signs of fatigue. The wine is fermented spontaneously and matured in large and small wooden barrels, a third of the small wood is renewed every year. Dark ruby red in colour. Bright green olive oil from the groves of the Sicilian winery Gulfi. The Hyblean Mountains, also known as Monti Iblei, are home to this extra virgin olive oil from controlled organic cultivation. The olives, mainly of the Tonda Iblea variety, are carefully picked by hand and pressed exclusively by mechanical means.

"There are around 1,500 olive trees on our estate. Many of them are centuries old. And we feel an obligation towards them, a historical memory that flows through our veins today. I would never dare to say that our oil is the best oil in the world. There is no such thing as the best oil in the world. I would say that there are certainly others who look after their trees and their olives like we do, but none who do it more than we do.

Our trees have always been grown organically. They are carefully pruned every two years. The olives are all picked by hand and the day's harvest is pressed every evening. The oil is decanted and naturally clarified until February/March and bottled without filtration. Our volcanic soils give it sweetness, finesse and flavour. The Campo della Pieve vineyard (approx. 380 metres above sea level) faces south-west and has thicker soils and more tufa. The most recent parcel, which was recently acquired, is the highest to date at 400 metres above sea level. The site is more susceptible to wind and has good water retention thanks to the heavier clay soils.

Bright, light golden yellow colour. Delicate nose of fresh yellow apple, some peach, lemon balm, flint in the background. Round and smooth on the palate with a lovely balance between acidity, freshness, citrus and tropical fruit, plus a subtle minerality.
