“Monte Carbonare” Soave Classico DOC 2022 (BIO)
Monte Carbonare comes from red volcanic iron soils with plenty of black basalt in the centre. Six hectares of 60-70 year old vines in cooler sites, which continue to rise to the crème de la crème of the top sites as the climate warms. A richer wine than the younger Classico, but without the same cheeky vitality. While the Classico is an unbeatable everyday wine, the Monte Carbonare is a complex wine that demands food and a little more contemplation. Mirabelle plum, apricot pit, a hint of dried mango and plenty of smoky, sharp mineral grip, with dutiful freshness that brings marvellous length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Golden light yellow; yeasty-fruity notes; round, full-bodied, yeasty, complex and deep, juicy acidity, length, drinky." (JLF) Merum
"A serious and very precise Soave with subtle citrus flavours and notes of orange blossom, hay and crushed stones. Finely balanced and concentrated, with a medium body and fine texture. Spicy and exciting with a gentle phenolic note and a hint of lemon peel and ginger on the finish." James Suckling

Vermentino Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC 2023 (BIO)
The grapes for this single-varietal Vermentino come from three small terraces surrounded by stone walls on the Garaxin vineyard. The soils consist mainly of calcareous marine rock and are rich in micro- and macrofossil fauna. Forests and Mediterranean shrubs grow around the vineyards, which are essential for tempering the hot, dry and very windy climate. Bright and luminous straw yellow in colour, the bouquet is fine and delicate with notes of lemon peel, cereals and aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean maquis. The strong flavour is very spicy and typical of the grape variety with a hint of sea salt and dried herbs. SUPERIORE.DE

“Le Cinciole” Chianti Classico DOCG 2021 (BIO)
In 1991, Luca and Valeria Orsini gave up their work in Milan to produce wine in Tuscany. Their winery comprises 10 hectares of south-east facing vineyards in Panzano and the wines have been certified organic since 2000. This outstanding Annata opens discreetly on the nose with subtle scents of cherry blossom, heather and roses. On the palate, it is decidedly red-fruited with redcurrants and raspberries, embraced by finely structured, powdery and persistent tannins. It has a beautiful energy and above all lets the true charm of Sangiovese shine through. A real high-flyer in terms of authenticity every year! SUPERIORE.DE
"A juicy, vivid and crunchy Chianti Classico expressing aromas of strawberries, raspberries and mild spices, following through to a medium body with fine tannins. Succulent and crisp with sour cherry character in the mouthwatering finish." James Suckling
"The 2021 Chianti Classico is a fabulous introduction to the Le Cinciole range. Lively acidity and tannins give the 2021 its shape and plenty of energy. Expressive floral and spicy overtones give it a lot of character. The 2021 was vinified in cement and matured in barrels for one year, followed by one year in cement. This medium-bodied Chianti Classico is a winner." Vinous

Bright, straw-yellow colour with a slight greenish tinge. Delicately fruity, fragrant aroma typical of the variety with notes of ripe tropical fruit. Balanced, medium-bodied and clean flavour. Fresh, lively acidity and a marvellous finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Fragrant and well flavoured, with a broad palate sensation that finds a fine harmony with the bright, lively acidity. Flavours of yellow pear, persimmon, orange peel and dried herbs, as well as rich hints of honey and praline. The finish is lingering and shows a clean, savoury note." Wine Spectator
"This wine strikes a terrific balance between primary fruit and integrated oak. You get a fresh and contemporary interpretation of the versatile Chardonnay grape that is nothing like the heavier wines you may remember from just a few years back. The 2022 Chardonnay Gaun is bright and luminous. Its creamy texture is layered with lemon meringue pie, peachy mousse and golden apple. There is a ripe, slightly candied quality (from the hot vintage) that is well synchronized, with almond biscuit, pie crust and baking spice." Wine Advocate

Rosso Vittoria DOC 2019 (BIO)
The former Cerasuolo di Vittoria exudes a wonderful fragrance of dark wild cherries. Dense but not heavy on the palate, long and pure with multilayered subtle fruit flavours. A sensual and at the same time pleasure-giving wine, 60 percent Nero d'Avola from the oak barrel and 40 percent Frappato matured in the glazed cement tank. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2019 Rosso Vittoria is darkly alluring, with a whiff of balsam herbs and cocoa giving way to black currants and air-dried meats. This is savory yet silky in feel, with depths of dark red fruit offset by a tinge of tangerine. Inner violet and lavender tones resonate as the 2019 finishes gently tannic yet remarkably fresh. A saline tinge calls the taster back to the glass. The Vittoria Rosso is a blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato." Vinous

“Catignano” Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO)
Dievole's new Chianti Classico Catignano, just released with the debut 2020 vintage, is the result of the effort to highlight the identity characteristics of particularly suitable vineyards, leading to ever more precise expressions of Sangiovese. Catignano is a plateau at 370 metres above sea level, with vineyards of different ages and a large proportion of Alberese. The exposure is west and southeast, which means plenty of sun during the day, but also cold temperatures at night, with a good temperature range that favours the aromatic development of the grapes.
On the nose, notes of red fruits, then a tertiary complexity of tobacco leather, graphite and liquorice. Warm and juicy on the palate, with notes of ripe red fruits. A juicy, sun-drenched cru. SUPERIORE.DE
"Made with 100% organic Sangiovese, the 2020 Chianti Classico Catignano sees fruit from a plateau of vines that are fully exposed to the bright luminosity of the Tuscan sun. This wine offers more fruit weight as a result, with dark cherry aromas, wet stone and dusty mineral." Wine Advocate
"A balanced red with a perfumed nose of cherries, red currants, wafers and dried flowers. Also lemon peel. Medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins and fresh acidity. Balanced and lively with a flattering texture. A fresh and flavourful long finish." James Suckling
"A round red with aromas of cherry, raspberry, iron and tobacco. Firm and dense, also compact on the finish, but still needs time to fully develop. All the elements are there, so be patient." Wine Spectator

“Petrignano” Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO)
Dievoles Chianti Classico Petrignano is the result of the endeavour to highlight the identity characteristics of particularly suitable vineyards, leading to ever more precise expressions of Sangiovese. Petrignano is the name of a characteristic area with a soil rich in minerals and stones. At an altitude of around 330 metres, rocks protrude from the ground that are typical of the geological formation of Monte Morello. The abundance of stones, the depth of the roots and the low growth of the vines result in an expressive and lush wine from this characteristic and authentic cru site.
Intense ruby red colour. Very appealing bouquet dominated by ripe fruit, cherry and blackberry flavours. Juicy, full and rich on the palate, with flavours of blackberries and ripe fruit. Warm and velvety finish with fine and soft tannins that are very accentuated and interwoven with the fine acidity structure. SUPERIORE.DE
"Brilliant medium ruby red with orange reflections. Lively cherry nose with some signs of development and hints of tobacco leaf and sweet spice. Flavoursome, juicy cherry fruit and crisp tannins. More energetic on the palate than on the nose, and that's where it hits the spot." Jancis Robinson
"Dark forest fruit with an earthy character offers great appeal. High acidity and tannins with very good length." Decanter
"This is a new addition to the Dievole portfolio with a cool retro-style label. The Chianti Classico Petrignano 2020 from organic farming is made from 100% Sangiovese, fermented in cement tulips and aged for 12 months in large oak barrels. The winemaking process is simple and to the point. The results show a vibrant freshness and a beautiful purity of fruit with a concentrated finish." Wine Advocate
"A supple red, imbued with a ray of cherry and strawberry fruit, with a texture that is silky at first, only to be overtaken by firm, dusty tannins. The finish reveals almond, earth and herbal notes that linger for a long time. Give it time for the two halves to come together." Wine Spectator
"A delicious, crisp red with very fine tannins and a lovely, delicate finish. Very tasty and with a creamy texture. Fresh finish." James Suckling
"From soils with a great limestone component, in particular Alberese, a pure Sangiovese with a blackberry aroma, hints of citron thyme and orange zest, then a finish with floral notes. Compact and dense palate, citrus-officinal return." Luca Gardini

“Casanova” Chianti Classico DOCG 2020 (BIO)
Dievole's new Chianti Classico Casanova, just released with the debut 2020 vintage, is the result of a quest to highlight the identity characteristics of particularly suitable vineyards, leading to ever more precise expressions of Sangiovese. The Casanova grapes come from a vineyard at an altitude of about 400 metres, with an ideal south-west to south-east exposure and composed mainly of sandstone rocks Macigno del Chianti. The result is a Chianti Classico that is very immediate and direct, with a beautiful acidity to boot. It has the elegance and freshness and the bright, radiant fruit of Chianti Classico "as it used to be".
Bright, luminous ruby red. On the nose, classic aromas of the grape variety with notes of small red fruits such as cherries and sour cherries alternating with spicy notes. On the palate, it is soft, carried by a dense tannin structure and a spicy, velvety finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sour cherries, raspberries, olives and tomato leaves on the nose. Dense and tasty with medium body and still slightly chewy tannins. Rustic and light-hearted." James Suckling
"Packaged with the dark green label, this is a new submission from Dievole. The organic 2020 Chianti Classico Casanova is all Sangiovese from a site with typical sandstone soils, locally called Macigno del Chianti, that formed 30 million years ago. These conditions help to underline the aromatic finesse of Sangiovese, and indeed, this wine offers a pretty medley of wild fruits, mint and blue flower." Wine Advocate
"Infused with black cherries and blackberries, this red wine starts elegantly and firms up on the textured finish. Iron, tar and wild herbs are evident on the long, tobacco-driven finish." Wine Spectator

On the palate, this freshness is again combined with a taut yet silky texture, followed by tart, lemony notes and a lovely saltiness that provide plenty of excitement and drinking flow. This rosato is anything but banal and ends in an exciting finish with green apple and exotic spices. Put it away for a year, because it is an Aglianico. Very well done! SUPERIORE.DE
"A deep cherry-colored rosé that has notes of dried strawberries, plums, cassis and dried flowers. It’s rich and fruity with medium to full body and a light tannin grip." James Suckling
"The 2023 Titolo Pink Edition is another fantastic achievement, boasting a gorgeous bouquet of wild strawberries, spice, lavender and wet stone. “Animavulcano” Rosso Etna DOC 2022 (BIO)
Delicate, elegant Nerello Mascalese with fine aromas of red fruits and raspberries, enveloped in a pleasant citrus freshness. Lively, harmonious and full of flavour on the palate, it is a resolutely versatile wine that goes perfectly with a wide range of fish dishes, shellfish and white meats. SUPERIORE.DE
"Animavulcano offers a fragrant sip of dark cherry and raspberry. It's quite dense (courtesy of the vintage), with good acidity supporting the weight of fruit, accompanied by some spice and textural interest. Blood orange and bitter herbs emerge on the intense and very slightly drying finish." Decanter

“Versalto” Pinot Bianco Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2022 (BIO)
Since the 2020 vintage, Haberle has been called Versalto and is certified organic. Diversity as a focus: Versalto is characterised by geological, microclimatic and cultural contrasts. Its grapes come from the Haberlehof farm in Buchholz on the eastern side of the Adige Valley and from the opposite vineyards in Penon above Margreid. Both vineyards are situated at an altitude of around 500 metres and guarantee optimal conditions for the variety.
Bright light yellow colour. Fine, distinctly fruity apple and peach bouquet with a very subtle hint of wood. Clean, elegant flavour, balanced structure and harmonious finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A restrained and minerally wine. Aromas of slate, stones and candied lemons. The attack is soft and smooth, with refreshing, slightly tingling acidity and a light body. It’s simple yet clean in the finish." James Suckling
"This is a very versatile wine, both in terms of its pleasant drinking style and its affordable price. The 2022 Pinot Bianco Versalto shows crisp flavours of unripe pears and fresh apples from the orchard. The primary fruit is followed by tea biscuits and macadamia nuts. Thanks to its maturation on the lees in stainless steel and oak barrels, Versalto shows a very fresh and direct personality. This wine definitely shows the bright and crisp quality of the Dolomites that you want from a South Tyrolean white wine." Wine Advocate

"Bright ruby red colour with a rich core. Hints of blackberry and dark cherry on the nose, reminiscent of plaster and candle wax on the finish. Juicy on the palate, flavours of wild berries and iron, firm tannins, balanced final." Falstaff
"Very pure dark- and blue-fruited nose with hints of violets, dried orange peel and graphite. Polished, almost silky on the medium-bodied palate, with very attractive juicy acidity. Savory and spiced at the end." James Suckling

“SP68” Bianco Terre Siciliane IGT 2023 (BIO)
Occhipintis Bianco has been one of Sicily's craziest and at the same time most independent white wines for years. Made from equal parts Moscato and Albanello, it exudes the scent of peaches and flowers, with a subtle smoky note on the nose. Delicately bitter on the palate, yet bone-dry and with wonderfully fruity hints of lychee, lime and apricot. With half an hour of aeration and at a moderate 12°C drinking temperature, you will be completely mesmerised by the sophistication and drinkability of this exceptional wine! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2023 Bianco SP68 is distinctly savory, as wild herbs and wet concrete give way to crushed nectarines. This is soothingly round and supple with a spicy tinge of ginger up front, leading to tart orchard fruits and a cascade of salty minerals. The 2023 finishes vividly fresh yet still potent, leaving hints of green melon and lime zest that linger on and on. Allow the Bianco SP68 some time to open in the bottle to express its aromatics properly." Vinous

“Fragment” Sauvignon Bianco Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2023 (BIO)
The Lageder family now only makes one Sauvignon Bianco, and it belongs to the "Compositions" line. It gets its complexity from the wide variety of different clones in the vineyards. The majority of these are situated at an altitude of over 400 metres and are based on limestone soil on the one hand and volcanic weathered rock on the other. The different source rocks and the variety of vines led the Lageders to name the wine. This is because it consists of fragments from the best organic and biodynamic vineyards, which are married to form a whole. Its salinity and crisp freshness are highly drinkable and make this fresh and sublime South Tyrolean Sauvignon Blanc a very special experience. SUPERIORE.DE
"A delicate wine with aromas of fresh peas, lemons, slate and minerals. Light-bodied on the palate, with zesty acidity and a silky texture, yet tight in the finish." James Suckling

Chianti Classico DOCG 2022 (BIO)
Dense with complex fruit flavours, lots of extract, soft, mouth-filling, unusually velvety and enveloped in gentle tannins. Matured in small barriques of old and new oak and in traditional Tuscan wooden barrels. Riecine has been producing one of the most subtle Chianti Classico wines for years - a marvellous wine. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby colour with a dark shimmer. Elegant on the nose, dark fruit of cherry and some blackberry, with juniper and sealing wax. Silky fruit melting on the palate, crisp tannins, supported by dancing acidity, very good drinking flow." Falstaff
"Brilliant ruby red colour. Perfumed, concentrated cherry nose with a hint of spice. Juicy and concentrated fruit, with fine, firm tannins, while the acidity becomes slightly tart on the finish." Jancis Robinson
"Exuberantly fragrant, with pomegranate, watermelon and a hint of rose. Fleshy berries fill out the core, but remain crisp and crunchy. It has a lovely clarity and plenty of zesty acidity. Light yet taut tannins create a clean frame." Decanter
"The nose is dominated by red fruits and flowers, but herbs and other savoury notes also make themselves known. In contrast, the palate is full of cherries and berries, creating a bright, exuberant feel that is enhanced by ample acidity, with dense, chalky tannins keeping things in check." Wine Enthusiast
"The Chianti Classico 2022 from Riecine is fabulous. It is followed by an explosion of red cherries, blood oranges and fragrant floral notes that give it freshness and brightness. The purity of the fruit is ravishing. This lively, savoury Chianti Classico is an absolute stunner. It is one of the outstanding wines of the year." Vinous

A solid wine that excels every year is the exciting Nobile from Poliziano, which smells of dark red cherries, blackberries and roasted notes. Juicy, compact and polished on the palate, soft and balanced with silky tannins and a long, elegant finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark fruity perfume of black cherries and plums, peppery notes; pithy on the palate, robust tannins, beautiful character and good length." Vinum
"Rich and dense, this red wine shows flavours of black cherries, blackberries and blueberries, accentuated by earth and iron. All of this is supported by a lively acidity and strong tannins that are fresh and long-lasting on the finish." Wine Spectator
"A modern Vino Nobile with dark chocolate and some lush spices. Flavours of plums, roasted red peppers, berries and pine cones follow through to a dense, medium to full-bodied palate. It is firm and long." James Suckling
"The 2021 Nobile di Montepulciano is a classy effort, dusty and floral with a bouquet of dried flowers, stone dust, cedary spices and black cherries. Silky in texture yet lifted in feel, it splashes across the palate with ripe wild berry fruits embellished by hints of lavender over a core of brilliant acidity. This tapers off classically dry and crisp, leaving a web of fine tannins and a pleasantly bitter tinge that lingers on." Vinous

Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC 2023 (BIO)
Owner Leonardo Pinzolo cultivates 52 hectares of biodynamically certified vineyards on his family farms in Popoli and Capestrano. The soils here differ from those in the rest of Abruzzo. Combined with the higher altitude of the vineyards and the proximity to the Gran Sasso mountains, these wines have a decidedly cooler expression than is usually found in Abruzzo. In the winery, fermentations are spontaneous and without temperature control. With the exception of a few single-vineyard wines, most of the wines are matured in stainless steel.
Leonardo's pleasantly fresh Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is a blend from the estate's individual vineyard sites. Initially restrained on the nose, it becomes spicy and herbaceous as it progresses. Soft and full-bodied on the palate, with a crisp minerality and tart fruit flavours. Rejuvenates with every sip with beautiful freshness and harmony, leaving a lingering flavour of young peach in the medium-long final. Good potential! SUPERIORE.DE

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2022 (BIO)
Argiano's Rosso di Montalcino is a very beautiful and expressive wine. Dried herbs, flowers, mint, liquorice and sweet red cherries adorn this attractive, medium-bodied Rosso. Medium textured on the palate, with lovely balance and clean notes of raspberry and candied violets. It is accessible early on and offers plenty of fun with its juicy overall impression through to a surprisingly long finish and is also an excellent accompaniment to food. SUPERIORE.DE
"Ruby red with a cherry-red centre. Fragrant nose of cherries, nutmeg and marjoram, with a leathery final. Firm body on the palate, very grippy tannins, wrapped in a juicy fruit melt, delicately bitter on the final." Falstaff
"Aromatically intense, the 2022 Rosso di Montalcino holds nothing back. It's vividly fruit forward yet with a burst of wild herbs and exotic spice to balance. This is harmonious and pure on the palate, with ample energy and verve as a cascade of crisp wild berry fruits swirl throughout. Only gently tannic yet full of youthful tension, the 2022 finishes fresh yet potent." Vinous
