Noras displays a rich bouquet of crushed blackberries, plums, smoke and brown sugar, underpinned by minty herbal notes. The texture is velvety, with a polished feel to its red and black fruits and a delicately bitter hint of coffee and balsamic spices. A hint of tobacco and liquorice lingers on the long, structured final. Noras needs a little time to fully develop in the glass, but it is worth the wait and gives us plenty of pleasure. SUPERIORE.DE

"The 2021 expresses the conditions of the vintage with an overall density, but remains balanced and agile. In-house Oenologist Giuseppe Rigoli explains that a small portion of the grapes were harvested very early to preserve freshness and the rest were brought in by the end of September. He also carried out a slightly shorter maceration of 15 days (compared to 20 days in 2020). The wine opens with a hint of vanilla and then moves into mint and violets. This masterful Vernaccia matures for 4 years in small Caratello barrels, whose natural shrinkage is never topped up so that the yeast flora, which is very characteristic of this Vernaccia, forms on the surface and not only produces the characteristic flavours, but also gives it its name.
