Bright yellow organic Vermentino with a small proportion of Grechetto. The idea came from Maurizio Castelli, who also advises the Barberani winery in Umbria. Maurizio Castelli creates this marvellous white wine from the Tuscan coast from a traditional, local blend based on a historical model and always picks the grapes quite late. The nose has a bright aroma of apple, pear, flint and a certain exoticism. The name Duelame is derived from "lama": in geological terms, the word refers to a kind of blade, i.e. a notch in which the village of Lamole lies in the middle of two high plateaus. The Duelame bottling thus combines fruit from the lowest (420 metres) and highest (655 metres) vineyards on the estate. Under the name Askos, Li Veli summarises a project in which long-forgotten, indigenous grape varieties are rediscovered and cultivated on the ideal terroir selected for them. The red Susumaniello grape is said to originate from the nearby Dalmatian coast and is one of the most exciting grape varieties in Puglia today, even though it is rarely vinified as a single variety.

The Susumaniello Askos is a solid red wine with a rich bouquet of red cherries, plums, dark spices and red earth.
