Delicately shimmering ruby red colour. Ripe plums, red cherries, lemon peel, dried flowers and earth on the nose. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and bright acidity. This is a light-weight wine that is still rather fresh and cheerful when young, but which will develop into a highly complex and more than serious white wine over the years. In the still youthful, fresh bouquet, we already find a lot of minerality and fine yellow fruit notes, then on the palate a texture and depth that comes to the fore more and more at 2° higher drinking temperature and appropriate aeration. Here comes the new single-varietal Pinot Grigio from one of our absolute favourite winemakers for years. In addition to his Friulano vineyards, Dario Raccaro has been cultivating a small vineyard planted with 100% Pinot Gris vines in Guyot training for many years. Since the 2022 vintage, he has been selling just 2,000 bottles of this fine wine and we are delighted to have received an allocation. Pale straw yellow in colour, with a fine, floral bouquet with traces of flint and white smoke. Cerbaia's Rosso di Montalcino 2022 offers a strong signature of bright cherry and cassis. Straightforward, but with interesting facets of dark flowers, undergrowth, leather and herbs. Surmont is the successor to Rain Riesling. As in the past, some of the grapes come from the South Tyrolean lowlands, while the other part now comes from the Isarco Valley from high and cool locations on soils of volcanic origin, which give the wine a fresher, almost alpine style. Bright, straw-yellow colour with a slight greenish tinge. Clean, distinct, fragrant varietal aroma with fine fruity notes (peach, pear). Balanced, medium-bodied. Fresh, juicy finish. The racy acidity is harmoniously integrated into the fruit structure. A wonderful Riesling italico in small quantities. SUPERIORE.DE

Pithos Bianco is a great orange wine from the amphora made from 100 per cent Grecanico, fermented entirely on the skins. Complex bouquet of apple, pear, honey, mint and a hint of rosemary. Even young with lots of ripe fruit and spice, a little salt, with beautiful depth and purity in the interesting, persistent flavour. Very good ageing and maturation potential.
