The almost flat vineyards of Gries near Bolzano are characterised by sandy alluvial soils permeated by quartz porphyry. The Lagrein grapes, which predominate in this fresh cuvée, reach full ripeness here thanks to the heat-retaining properties of the Bolzano valley basin and thus gain their typical velvety softness. These deep red grapes are pressed with very short skin contact and surprise with fruity, fresh flavours of cherries combined with a hint of almonds. With its beautifully integrated acidity, this rosé goes particularly well with strong starters from South Tyrolean cuisine, fish dishes and summer-inspired dishes. SUPERIORE.DE

The Negroamaro grapes for the extremely delicate Calafuria come from vineyards that stretch along the Adriatic coast in Salento. The region boasts a long tradition of producing rosé wines from Negroamaro, a grape variety that best expresses its potential near the sea. Bright yellow organic Vermentino with a small proportion of Grechetto. The idea came from Maurizio Castelli, who also advises the Barberani winery in Umbria. Maurizio Castelli creates this marvellous white wine from the Tuscan coast from a traditional, local blend based on a historical model and always picks the grapes quite late. The nose has a bright aroma of apple, pear, flint and a certain exoticism. Roxanne Rosso is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Ciliegiolo. To preserve the fruit nuances, the wine is aged in stainless steel and only 20% of the Sangiovese is aged in barrel. It shows a deep ruby colour and intense and fruity notes of ripe red fruits and sweet spices. It has a harmonious structure and well-polished tannins with a long finish. The owner of Selvapiana, Francesco Giuntini, and the owner of the Petrognano winery, Cecilia Galeotti Ottieri, have been friends for a long time. Their small winery on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna is located in the centre of the Pomino DOC, which was first mentioned in a document in 1716 and is one of the first four protected appellations in Tuscany (alongside Rufina Classico, Carmignano and Valdarno Superiore).

The two have been working together on the "Villa Petrognano" project for several years - under this name, a clear, very well-structured white wine is produced under the aegis of Selvapiana. Delicious notes of white peach, apple and rose on the nose, followed by honey and traces of star jasmine.
