"Burdigai" is Ligurian dialect and means shrubs of the Mediterranean maquis. From a small and isolated terrace facing west, surrounded by Mediterranean shrubs, comes this truly original Rosato, which should not actually exist. Because the grape variety is unknown, it is alternatively called "Franseise" because it apparently comes from the south of France and not even the owners know the exact origin and age, nor do they know who planted the vines there in the first place. Nevertheless, the vines have been cultivated and cared for over decades and at some point the family council decided to press an independent rosé from them.

Intense coral pink, fine and original bouquet of pink grapefruit, raspberry and strawberry with subtle mineral notes. Very dry in the mouth, floral, with lively acidity and pronounced spiciness. Characteristic is the mineral-chalky impression at the back of the palate, which prolongs the wine's originality and tension. Forget everything you think you know about rosé. The grapes for this masterpiece come from four different vineyards, one of which, Madonna degli Angeli, is home to vines aged 45-90 years. Rosa del Rosa is the archetype of complexity and aromatic density, while at the same time being supple and elegant. Carte Noire is a highly limited Ligurian drip oil, which is obtained using a special process. Only completely intact olives are used for this. After grinding them between granite stones, the paste is spread on mats. These are placed on top of each other, after which the olive oil obtained in this way runs downwards without pressure and is collected there. The result is a mild oil, not without certain rustic notes, with a slight sweetness and hints of spices, almonds, pine nuts, apple and vanilla. Occhione is a racy, fresh cuvée made from 90% Vermentino and 10% Viognier. Bright light yellow in colour with greenish reflections. Fine notes of peach, mango and grapefruit on the nose, medium-bodied on the palate with floral, fruity notes and well-balanced acidity. The grapes for this single-varietal Vermentino come from three small terraces surrounded by stone walls on the Garaxin vineyard. The soils consist mainly of calcareous marine rock and are rich in micro- and macrofossil fauna. Forests and Mediterranean shrubs grow around the vineyards, which are essential for tempering the hot, dry and very windy climate. Bright and luminous straw yellow in colour, the bouquet is fine and delicate with notes of lemon peel, cereals and aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean maquis. Castello della Sala, located not far from Orvieto at an altitude of 500 metres, produces excellent wines without exception, as the inexpensive "entry-level wine" San Giovanni della Sala proves. The wine is produced in the vineyards of the ancient castle of Castello della Sala from the combination of the indigenous grape varieties Grechetto and Procanico with Pinot Bianco and Viognier and interprets the Orvieto Classico in a new style. Its freshness, richness and balance are remarkable, with notes of yellow flowers, green apple, sage and ginger. The rare Titolo Rosato is not only a feast for the eyes, but also makes a first-class impression with its fresh and spicy bouquet of mandarins, cherries, sage and sweet smoke. On the palate, this freshness is again combined with a taut yet silky texture, followed by tart, lemony notes and a lovely saltiness that provide plenty of excitement and drinking flow. Petite Arvine is a speciality from the Aosta Valley and the neighbouring Swiss Valais. Costantino Charrère produces a powerful, fragrant white wine from this variety.
