The olives from the Uccelliera farm grow near Castelnuovo dell'Abate, are carefully hand-picked and immediately cold-pressed to preserve the aroma and fruity flavour. It is a rather mildly spicy olive oil with a very fruity flavour, medium spiciness and a pleasant softness on the palate. SUPERIORE.DE

The pioneer of Riesling on Italian soil is Aldo Vajra. Already fascinated by the variety as a student, he planted the first vines of the White Riesling variety in the Langa. Very light yellow-green in colour when young, developing into a strong straw yellow. The flavours of the noble Pètracine also take a varied course. Starting with peach and apricot, delicate floral and citrus notes follow in the middle, while minerality takes centre stage as the wine matures. The olive oil from the legendary Tenuta San Guido is in no way inferior to the world-famous wines, reflecting the multi-layered soul of the winery. The Leccino, Moraiolo, Pendolino and Frantoio varieties thrive on around 110 hectares of olive groves in Bolgheri near Livorno. On the demanding soil, the trees are not arranged in the traditional way, but grow in rows between fields and vineyards, as is typical of Tuscan agriculture.

This outstanding Olio di Oliva Extra Vergine, which is obtained exclusively by mechanical means, is greenish-yellow in colour with shimmering reflections. Its flavour is balanced yet complex. This promise is 100% fulfilled on the palate: spicy, peppery notes, hints of almonds and a surprisingly fruity finish. It goes perfectly with bruschetta, fagioli all'olio and grilled fish. Just two hours after harvesting, the olives are gently pressed and processed in the company's own oil mill. Very delicate oil from Tuscany. Petrolo's organically cultivated olive groves cover around 15 hectares with around 3,000 trees on hilly, loamy and stony soil. Typical regional varieties such as Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo thrive on the terraced cultivation areas. The olive oil is exclusively cold-pressed and gently extracted from the fruit. The blend of the three varieties is reflected in a stimulating, fresh colour. Stimulating tart and green notes on the nose. The 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Tenuta San Leonardo is a fragrant and lively white wine that always remains true to the varietal character of the grape variety. Emilio and Elisabetta Foradori only press 8,000 bottles of Fuoripista Pinot Grigio from the biodynamic vineyards of the Campo Rotaliano site every year. The delicate pink-coloured wine is fermented for eight months on the skins in tinajas (Spanish amphorae), where it matures slowly to reveal the delicate character of Pinot Grigio and the forgotten diversity of Trentino. Under the name Askos, Li Veli summarises a project in which long-forgotten, indigenous grape varieties are rediscovered and cultivated on the ideal terroir selected for them. Pale yellow in colour with green reflections. Intense fruity aromas of tropical fruits, citrus fruits, pears and fresh spices on the nose. The palate is full, balanced with good acidity. Nosiola - an ancient grape variety of Trentino - was once cultivated throughout the country. Today, its cultivation is limited to the mountains and valleys of Trento. The Nosiola grape produces wines of great finesse and longevity. Elisabetta's Nosiola also gains exceptional vigour and energy through biodynamics and ageing in amphora. Give the Nosiola time and be patient: Only after sufficient aeration and at a serving temperature of around 13 degrees does this white wine reveal its full potential. SUPERIORE.DE

The Teroldego from Foradori are all a great experience. Elisabetta makes extremely interesting wines from the autochthonous grape variety from the foot of the Dolomites. And they are made purely organically and partly in amphorae. Morei (dark in Trentino dialect) is an original red wine that is true to its terroir and is irresistibly elegant and refined. Warm, dense and mineral like the soil on which it grows. Morei is protected from cold northerly winds by the nearby, abruptly rising rock faces. The rock stores heat during the day, which radiates to the vineyard at night. The soil here is very stony and therefore relatively warm, dense, dark and mineralised, just like the Morei Teroldego wine of the same name. Lezér means "light" and so it is - in the most delicate sense. Light ruby red in colour, red berries and an interesting hint of violets on the nose.
