“Pietrafusa” Taurasi DOCG 2018
This red classic comes from marl and clay-rich soils from the high and steep hills near Taurasi, not far from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The soils are rich in minerals and salts and give the Aglianico grape a wonderful depth and minerality.
The nose of Taurasi Pietrafusa is savoury and intense, with notes of crushed blackberries, citrus fruits, stones, sage and a stimulating mint. On the palate, the soft texture gains richness as it flows over the senses with notes of ripe black fruits, salty minerals and sweet herbal notes. The finish is long and structured, showing the wine's tannic power mixed with resonant acids and lingering dark fruits. This is a wine that can be cellared for five to ten years, but also has what it takes to last another decade. SUPERIORE.DE
"An earthy, wet bouquet, reminiscent of dewy leaves and earth after a storm, is spiced up by undertones of plum and cherry. The cool, astringent palate further balances the earthy and cherry elements, while a lean acidity glides past smooth but powerful tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"This full-bodied red exudes aromas of ripe plums, blueberries, soy, walnuts and coriander. Broad, lightly chalky and well-integrated tannins on the palate. Excellent length." James Suckling

“Tintilia” Molise (Riserva) DOC 2020
Rich Riserva made from Tintilia grapes, an ancient vine from Molise. Full, soft and velvety, the perfect harmony of bouquet and flavour is impressive. SUPERIORE.DE

"Spicy and hot on the nose, with chilli pepper and cherry tomatoes before flavours of sour cherries and candied red apples emerge. More red apple and red pepper spiciness on the palate, with the sanguine flinty quality of dusty brick and ferrous soil emphasised by lively acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"Aromas of eucalyptus, figs and wild cherries. Medium-bodied with firm tannins. Interesting mineral character on the palate with walnut and blackberry flavours." James Suckling

“Le Sughere di Frassinello” Maremma Toscana DOC 2019
Dark ruby red with elegant shimmer. Intense and appealing nose with delicate spicy notes, opens up after some time and then dark notes of wild berries and some undergrowth predominate. Very dense, with continuation of the spicy notes already found in the nose, well integrated with lots of fruit, which lets the wine rest weightily with a long final on the palate. SUPERIORE.DE
"Sparkling ruby. Opens on the nose with balsamic notes of eucalyptus, lots of blackberry, some clove. Full-bodied and soft on the nose, unfolds with lots of savoury tannin over the course." Falstaff
"The nose on this wine has the quiet elegance and confidence that usually takes more age to realize. It gives aromas of leather, graphite, sandalwood and pepper before nutmeg, dried currants and other spices and dried fruits come through. The palate is energized with an iron-rich current of raw meat and bricks, lifted by a sizzle of acid and heat." Wine Enthusiast
"Aromas of plums, black cherries, blackberries, tomato leaf, dried herb and spice box. Medium-to full-bodied with firm, polished tannins. Rich and fleshy on the palate with a lots of black fruit. Flavorful finish." James Suckling

Etna Bianco DOC 2022
Benantis Etna Bianco from 100% Carricante is a delicately perfumed expression of Carricante with gentle mineral notes, white flowers and light flavours of peach or nectarine. The true protagonist, however, are the carefully dosed volcanic tones of ash and smoke. The bouquet will become even more refined with a year or more of ageing in the bottle. Fresh and round on the palate, great acidity and a saline vein, with a subtle sweetness on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"A very fresh wine with a mineral flavour and fine citrus notes, orange blossom and citrus zest. Wonderfully linear on the palate, yet also endowed with a fine mellowness." Weinwisser
"A fresh, salty white wine, creamy on the palate, with accents of white flowers, lemon thyme and beeswax to the flavours of poached pear, crushed almond and Meyer lemon zest." Wine Spectator
"The nose is smoky and savoury, like lemon drizzled over grilled chicken, with bright herbal notes of saffron and tarragon adding vibrancy. A salty citrus note defines the palate, while a lingering herbal note provides warmth without sacrificing freshness." Wine Enthusiast

“Burdese” Rosso Sicilia Menfi DOC 2018
Deep ruby red with garnet-coloured reflections. Dense and intense aroma of red fruits with notes of leather, earth, spices and minerals, with a hint of vanilla and sandalwood. Full-bodied on the palate, well-defined tannins supported by a dense structure, leading to a long-lasting and very smooth final. A Bordeaux blend in a class of its own! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2018 Burdese is a straightforward expression of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%) that doesn't impose. The wine is soft on the palate with medium-bodied layers of ripe cherry, plum, soft earth and leather. The tannins are immediate and soft." Wine Advocate
"This Bordeaux blend shows berries, fresh herbs such as parsley and a hint of vanilla. It has a medium to full body with medium round tannins and a juicy finish. Very enjoyable now, but it will be much better in two or three years." James Suckling
"Dusty dried flowers, crushed rock, graphite and red plums form a dark, seductive bouquet when the 2018 Burdese reveals itself in the glass. The palate is lapped by soft textures contrasted by a core of tart wild berries. Mineral tones slowly saturate. A web of fine tannins lends it youthful composure, nicely balanced by a hint of sour citrus, while the 2018 tapers off for a long time and yet displays wonderful balance." Vinous
"The nose is dark and rich, yet also layered and subtle, with both heavy aromas of petrol and tar and juicier notes of blackberries, figs and dark chocolate. The figs and chocolate carry the palate, though wild herbs and bitter orange give buoyancy. Tannins are unyielding, while acid is more discreet but still perceptible." Wine Enthusiast

“Caburnio” Rosso Toscana IGT 2018
Deep, rich ruby colour. Impressive nose of ripe berries, ripe cherries and delicate graphite nuances. Aromatic and extremely flavoursome on the palate, with a spicy, animating arc. A true Tuscan insider tip with a great value. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich ruby red with violet reflections. Elegant aromas of garnet, blackcurrant, leather and pepper on the nose. Powerful on the palate with an animating acidity structure, fine tannins, balanced and persistent on the finish." Falstaff
"A medium-bodied red wine with notes of cherries, blackcurrants, dried herbs and baking spices. Fine tannins. Well balanced with a gentle structure that frames the palate until the lively finish." James Suckling
"The nose is metallic, salty and almost fizzy, like a can of Coke on a fishing boat, but a touch of fruit comes from a latent black cherry element. The palate deftly manages to both stick with that umami saltiness and bolster the fruit notes, while acid crackles around tannins that are polished yet dense, like magnets." Wine Enthusiast

“Perbacco” Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2021
This highly convincing red from Vietti is a stylish Langhe with an elegant bouquet and a powerful palate. Bright ruby red in the glass, it has tell-tale Nebbiolo aromas of rosehip and orange peel. The strawberry fruit is accompanied by firm, polished tannins, crisp acidity and an amazing rhubarb flavour that carries through the finish. It comes from a selection of grapes grown in both Barolo and Barbaresco, mostly on the classic combination of limestone and clay. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco is a particularly vibrant edition of the Perbacco, the result of a significant presence of Monforte fruit in the blend. Notes of red fruit, orange peel and white pepper characterise the 2021, which finishes with remarkable tension." Vinous
"This wine opens with an expressive bouquet that exudes macerated red cherries, dried roses and sweet and savoury spices. On the palate, a round and lush fullness of cherries unfolds, with well-integrated tannins creating a harmonious structure and offering a pleasant and balanced profile." Wine Enthusiast
"The Vietti 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco is a spicy wine that is quite pronounced in its aromatic intensity. It is a better expression of the grape variety, softened by oak, spices and well-ripened fruit. The wine has a velvety quality that helps to envelop the palate, and you get plenty of stuffing here in terms of texture and lingering fruit flavours. The fruit that is not used directly for Barolo Castiglione goes into this wine instead." Wine Advocate

Intense and enveloping aromas of blackberry, dark fruit and cocoa. Memorable, full-bodied fruit and firm tannins on the palate, which give this Merlot its unique elegance. Pleasantly round, long and with traces of mint on the finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The nose starts sweet and wild with aromas of blueberries, raspberries and a hint of vanilla, before spicy notes of leather, herbs and pepper make themselves known. On the palate, flavours of cherry, vanilla and milk chocolate support the berry element before a lingering, herbaceous and stony finish." Wine Enthusiast
"The 2019 Sito dell'Ulmo is remarkably pretty, wafting up with a blend of wild blueberries, sage, dusty dried violets and hints of tobacco. It's round and supple, possessing cooling acidity and crisp wild berry fruits that cascade across the palate as rosy inner florals form toward the close. “Trentasei” Metodo Classico Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC 2015 brut
This sparkling wine is named after the minimum 36 months of bottle fermentation it has to undergo. The result is impressive: light ruby red with garnet reflections. Sour cherry, blackcurrant and wild rose on the nose, rounded off with candied cherry and traces of light smoke. On the palate, it is powerful, complex, round and creamy in texture, with well-dosed candied fruit, juicy, clear and with a full-bodied, long finish. Trentasei combines the tradition of the region with a visionary reinterpretation of a Sorbara sparkling wine that remains in the memory even after the bottle has been emptied far too quickly. SUPERIORE.DE
"Delicate cherry red with pink reflections. The nose has hints of wild berries and caramelised rhubarb. Some marzipan and white pepper on the finish. Surprisingly sweet and fruity on the palate with lively acidity. Great fun." Falstaff
"In a delightful strawberry-red hue, this wine exudes wild raspberry aromas, hints of dried leaves, and warmed rosebud jam. Its light and zippy palate offers crushed currant and sour cherry flavors, culminating in an intriguing savory finish that lingers and requests a board of salumi or cured meat." Wine Enthusiast
"The 2015 Brut Metodo Classico Lambrusco di Sorbara Trentasei is a deep translucent red with a seductive bouquet that blends sweet spices with violet florals and wild strawberries. It’s soothingly round with a silken bead of fine bubbles and crisp orchard fruits, as hints of candied citrus add lovely contrast toward the close. The 2015 tapers off on a note of refinement, classically dry and crisp, as the slight hint of sour cherry slowly fades. This is next-level Lambrusco." Vinous

“Bricco dei Merli” Barbera d’Alba DOC 2021
The Barbera d'Alba Bricco dei Merli is characterised by the balance and harmony that we also find in Elvio Cogno's other wines. Barbera can sometimes take on exaggerated flavours, but Cogno's Barbera offers a beautiful intensity of dark fruit without ever being heavy or too rich. Full of vibrant freshness and good energy as it progresses. SUPERIORE.DE
"Notes of sour cherries and redcurrants with citrus peel and floral undertones. Juicy and flavoursome with a medium body and crisp red berry character. Lively finish." James Suckling
"This Barbera lifts from the glass with fresh aromas of mixed berries, sweet spices, wild herbs and underbrush. The juicy palate gives notes of black cherries, raspberries and tea finishing with bright acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"Sparkling, medium ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Subtle notes of ripe blackberries and plums on the nose, with a slightly leathery aftertaste of dried rose petals. Fresh and juicy on the palate, well-balanced, with a medium-long finish." Falstaff
"The Barbera d'Alba Bricco dei Merli 2021 shows a wonderfully fruity, almost juicy personality that paints an authentic portrait of this grape variety. The winemaking team at Congo has worked out its approach to elegant wines. This Barbera shows none of the exaggerations, such as acidity or too much acidity, that sometimes characterise Barbera when it is made in less capable hands." Wine Advocate

“Christian Bellei” Blanc de Noirs Metodo Classico DOC 2016 brut
When a wine is named after the founder and mastermind of what is probably the most famous and popular winery in the Modena region, then you should take a closer look, or even better, reach for the bottle. This exceptional sparkling wine is produced using the blanc de noirs method, i.e. a white spumante from red grapes - certainly not an everyday occurrence in the Lambrusco world.
And the result is just as special and high-class: golden in colour with greenish reflections, lively and with a fine, infinitely long-lasting perlage. Delicate white peach, flint, salt, lemon and grapefruit on the nose. The palate is crisp and vibrant with an elegant acidity, the subtle fruit sweetness opens up beautifully and its delicate mousseux gives this exceptional sparkling wine its inimitable structure. The archetype of an aperitif and simply unbeatable in its high-class, irresistible drinking flow and on a par with the great name of the founder! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright silver with a delicate perlage. The nose initially has a slight reduction, a hint of flint, ripe lemons, cold smoke and candle wax. Precise, almost cutting on the palate, with racy acidity and a high draw, makes the tongue click." Falstaff
"This pale straw sparkler entices with ripe McIntosh apple aromas and delicate hints of lemon zest and white-flower honey. The zippy palate pops in mixed citrus notes culminating in a fresh finish accentuated by a delicate hint of green herbs, perfectly balancing the vibrant fruit notes." Wine Enthusiast

The eruption of 1614 is legendary in the history of Etna, as it lasted ten years, making it the longest recorded eruption of the active volcano to date. A very impressive and fitting name for Planeta's Etna series of equally impressive wines.
It could hardly be more autochthonous: this excellent wine from the Nerello Mascalese grape comes from the hotspot on the east coast of Sicily, from the slopes of Mount Etna. Bright cherry red in colour, a fine aroma of raspberry and blood orange, gripping, taut acidity, silky tannins and a lively elegance with beautiful minerality. Great, long and unique! SUPERIORE.DE
"Impressive aromas of mulberries and flowers; juicy on the palate, beautifully polished, balanced and elegant through to the final, red berry flavours, soft, honey notes and yet the acidity is in balance. A lovely accompaniment to food." Vinum
"Burgundy-inspired bouquet with red berries, light strawberries, red cherries and balsamic notes, sage. Well-structured on the palate with gripping red berry fruit, sandy tannins and a savoury, peppery acidity structure that lingers into the final." Weinwisser
"It shows aromas of ripe cherries and grilled plums, with fragrant flavours of cigar box spices, broom and wild rosemary that linger on the fine, taut finish." Wine Spectator
"Cherries and cranberries with some candied watermelon both on the nose and on the palate. Medium body, creamy tannins and a tangy finish. Juicy." James Suckling
"The 2020 Sicilia Nerello Mascalese Eruzione 1614 opens in a medium dark ruby red colour with lively primary fruit. Wild berries and cassis are underpinned by gently rendered oak tones of cinnamon and campfire ash. Although technically outside the DOC area (just a few metres), this is one of the finest sites on Etna. The tannins are firm but silky, which means you can drink this bottle straight away without ageing." Wine Advocate
"The 2020 is decidedly savoury, exuding hints of grilled rosemary and sage, ashen stones and crushed blackberries. On the palate, it is characterised by juicy forest fruits, underscored by a hint of blood orange and zesty acidity. It tapers off long and gently tannic, closing on a pleasantly bitter note as the minty herbal tones fade. Wow." Vinous
"The nose begins spicy and herbaceous with notes of stone, salt, pepper, oregano and fennel before lighter flavours of cherry blossom, hibiscus and strawberry emerge. On the palate, the cherry and strawberry flavours sparkle, while a lingering, salty stoniness balances a silky smooth texture with an intense, salty freshness." Wine Enthusiast

“Pietradolce” Bianco Etna DOC 2022
Beautiful white from Carricante that captures the energy of Etna and reflects its essence. Sparkling lemon yellow with a drop of gold. Yellow stone fruit, mint, flowers and spice aromas on the nose. Complex flavour, full fruit and subtle minerality on the palate. Racy, delicately flavoured and sophisticated. SUPERIORE.DE
"A zippy white, with salty tang supporting flavors of crunchy pear, grated ginger, Meyer lemon peel, pastry cream and blanched almond." Wine Spectator
"A savoury nose that stands out from tar and stones, with spices and nuts overlaying tart citrus fruits such as bergamot and pithy lemon. On the palate, the juicy lemonade lingers and is complemented by a peppery finish. Coherent and substantial, with a taut acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"The 2022 Etna Bianco is delicate and floral with a nuanced blend of nectarine and wet stones. It is soft and enveloping with a pretty inner sweetness up front and zesty acidity enlivening its core of citrusy apples. The finish is long, colouring but still fresh, with notes of sour lime and zesty spice." Vinous
"Aromas of exotic flowers, yellow plums and beautiful citrus peel. Mineral and racy, very crisp and firm, steely and citrus-accentuated. Bright acidity with a firm, steely structure." Decanter

“La Grola” Rosso Veronese IGT 2020
La Grola is the eponymous, historic vineyard where Corvina, the indigenous grape of Valpolicella, is believed to have originated. The replanting of the vineyard by Giovanni Allegrini triggered an agronomic revolution and laid the foundations for the success of this wine-growing region, which today stands for convincing, great red wines from north-east Italy.
Dense, dark ruby red in colour, very rich and powerful on the nose with notes of wild and overripe berries. The rich fullness of coffee to black cherries is underlined by present, pleasant tannins. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich ruby colour with a dark core and fine garnet-red rim. Multi-layered bouquet of dark chocolate, cassis, underpinned by fine spice. Velvety texture on the palate, harmonious and round, concentrated fruit and pronounced length." Falstaff
"Bright cherry red. Quite a reticent nose but masses of flavour on the palate with attractive bitterness after dried cherry fruit and a hint of charcoal. Quite a bit of texture here and a chewy, long finish. I wouldn't recommend drinking it without food. It's quite a statement!" Jancis Robinson
"The 2020 La Grola shows ripe fruit, some herbal notes in the background, liquorice, tar and gentle spices. This simple red wine has a slightly wild side with fresh acidity and a whistling, clean finish. La Grola paints a more concentrated picture of Corvina, a grape usually used in traditional Amarone blends." Wine Advocate
"Dark, brooding and complex, the 2020 La Grola tantalises the imagination with notes of spiced blood orange, cloves, dark chocolate and dried black cherries. It has a soft texture and more verve than expected, with lively acidity and a wave of tart wild berries that slowly saturate. The wine finishes with tension, with a primary concentration of fine-grained tannins that linger. The 2020 is an intense La Grola that will require patience." Vinous
"An elegant red wine with fine tannins that blend seamlessly with the ripe flavours of black and red cherries. Accents of smoked tobacco, rosehip, cocoa powder and aniseed run through the fruit profile, and a subtle, mineral hint of fresh earth and iron lingers on the finish." Wine Spectator
"La Grola has been an integral part of the Allegrini family since 1989. This blend of 90% Corvina and 10% Oseleta opens with aromas of black plums, preserved black cherries, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper and violets. As the wine progresses, notes of cedar, cigar box and tobacco develop. On the palate, rich, black-coloured fruit dances with taut, well-structured tannins, while savoury and earthy notes add to the fascination." Wine Enthusiast
"A single vineyard whose fruit comes from a historically important site that is quite steep and calcareous and slopes down towards the Adige. No dried grapes. The tannins of the Oseleta are hard, firm and powerful on the attack. However, the mid-palate is round and energetic, softening any impression of stiffness as it expands aniseed, mint, leather varnish and dark, saturated berry fruit. This is a very good wine made for the cellar." James Suckling
"Podere La Grola, Sant'Ambrogio in Valpolicella, Corvina with a small proportion of Oseleta, which undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures in barriques. Liquorice, blackberry jam and lime on the nose, salty-sweet on the palate, with a fruity finish and slightly iodised final." Luca Gardini

“Philip” Rosso Toscana IGT 2020
After almost two centuries, it is time to erect a "monument" to the enthusiastic grape grower Philip Mazzei (1730-1816). In the form of this single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, this succeeds extraordinarily well. Elegant, deep dark colour, classic aromas, complex, fruity and spicy flavour, well-proportioned tannins and acidity, taut, structured and persistent. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Philip (Cabernet Sauvignon) is a blend from vineyards in Castellina and Maremma. Rich and supple, the 2020 offers plenty of varietal character. Dark plum, menthol, liquorice and espresso are all present in this supple, resonant red. Attractive floral and spicy top notes brighten the finish." Vinous
"A bright, elegant red with cherry and blackcurrant flavours, with lively acidity and dusty tannins. Packs plenty of fruit, with hints of tobacco and wild herbs, despite the lean profile." Wine Spectator
"A multi-layered nose starts with salt and pepper, then turns earthy, herbal and woody before finishing with black cherries and blackberries. On the palate, a hint of earth keeps the freshness of the berries in check before a swirling mocha finish ties everything up with a bow. Tannins and acidity are harmonious throughout." Wine Enthusiast
"This is aromatic with blueberries and black cherries, as well as hints of blue flowers, spices, dark chocolate and crushed stones. Full-bodied with layers of firm, fine-grained tannins and deep blue fruit. Structured and focused with a lingering finish that continues to build. Well crafted." James Suckling

“Ognisanti di Novare” Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2020
The grapes for this high-calibre Valpolicella Classico Superiore come from the rather barren, calcareous and terraced vineyards of Tenuta Novare above the Ognisanti church. Wines of greater complexity, perfect structure and higher concentration are produced here than in most other vineyards in Valpolicella. Sparkling ruby-garnet colour. Fragrant nose with wonderful overtones of sour cherry, dried flowers and white pepper. Perfectly balanced on the palate with firm tannins and wonderful spice and depth of fruit thanks to the ageing in wood. A superior, winning wine from the heart of the Valpolicella region. SUPERIORE.DE
"Deep ruby red colour. Initially notes of white pepper and tobacco on the nose, followed by delicate hints of small red fruits. Full and intense flavour, fruity sweetness and smoothness, juicy and slightly spicy finish." Falstaff
"The 2020 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ognisanti di Novare is quite pretty, with nuances of rose petals and dried strawberries. It has a soft texture, and a salty core of minerality adds a savoury flair, while the tart cherry fruit cascades across the palate." Vinous
"Offering an aromatic array of warmed cherries, plums, sun-dried tomatoes and underbrush showing a lift with hints of violets as the wine opens. A sip reveals a structure of refined tannins and a harmonious balance of tart cherry and a touch of leather with notes of black tea and roast coffee on the finish." Wine Enthusiast
"A medium-bodied red wine with fresh red berry aromas and flavours, showing floral, citrus and mineral nuances as it progresses. The tannins are very fine and almost chalky, soaking up more and more fruit on the ever-expanding palate. Long finish. This is a very graceful and well-made Valpo that reminds me a little of Pinot Noir. Very expressive without being loud in any way." James Suckling
"Vineyard of the same name in Arbizzano di Negrar, Corvina Veronese with a small amount of Rondinella, 12 months in French oak, a wine of juiciness and tension, notes of cranberries on the nose, with hints of marjoram, white pepper and wild mint. Firm and juicy on the palate, spicy finish." Luca Gardini

“Pian delle Vigne” Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2021
Deep, dark ruby red colour. Black and small red berries on the nose, plus some leather, tobacco and herbal spice. Fine, black-fruity extract sweetness on the palate, rounded off with herbs and spices, the well-built tannins provide a certain pressure and strength, in the finish its multi-layered components combine with fresh acidity to create a very drinkyred that never denies its origin and grape variety. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red colour. Red cherry and strawberry candy on the nose, with pepper and a delicate vegetal touch. Medium-bodied on the palate, shows beautiful juiciness, still young tannins, with a pithy final." Falstaff
"First tart and bright with dried cranberries, cherries and orange peel on the nose, then aromas of damp earth, mushrooms, old leather and cigar wrapper take over with just a whisper of vanilla bean. The palate offers blackberries, dark chocolate and notes of forest floor ignited by heat and acid." Wine Enthusiast
"From the characteristic clay-limestone soils of Pian delle Vigne comes a red wine that is characterised by juiciness and freshness. On the nose, redcurrants with a hint of thyme and juniper. The palate is taut and savoury, with a fruity finish and a pleasant aftertaste." Luca Gardini

“Crognolo” Rosso Toscana IGT 2021 (BIO)
Crognolo is a wonderfully balanced wine that offers the tangy freshness and acidity of Sangiovese, which is balanced and softened by the small proportion of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine smells of cherry, blackberry and plum. Its primary intensity is bright and cheerful. The finish shows a nice density, extraction and well-integrated tannins. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Crognolo 2021 is a great entry-level wine from Sette Ponti. An explosion of red/purple fruits, blood orange, spices and rose petals race across the palate, lifted by bright acids that add energy. All elements are very well balanced. This is a very inviting wine." Vinous
"Dusty, perfumed aromas of spiced plums with sour cherries and dried cherries are followed in the mouth by a vertical palate full of fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity and juicy fruit. It feels balanced and upright, ready to spring into action as soon as the cork is pulled. Vibrant red and black fruits intermingle, punctuated by a certain saltiness and supported by those tannins. The finish is long, juicy and flavoursome and leaves you wanting another sip." Decanter
"This young red wine shows all its components in the right place, but needs time to integrate. It offers flavours of cherry, violet, earth, iron and mint, which fade into powerful tannins on the finish." Wine Spectator
"Bright ruby violet colour. Expressive flavours of blackberries and rich cherries, with fine spicy components in the background. Compact, concentrated on the palate, with grippy tannins that also become juicy, salty on the finish." Falstaff
"The wine shows dark concentration, certainly more than you'd expect from Sangiovese, with lots of cherry, spice and blue flower that ties directly into the Merlot. It offers a medium to full-bodied texture with fine, chalky tannins." Wine Advocate
"Ultra-fresh, juicy cherries with more delicate aromas of violets and rose petals on the nose roll onto a palate rich with more cherries and berries balanced by earthy, tart notes of earth, branches and roots and a finish of bitter cocoa and aniseed." Wine Enthusiast
"The purity of the fruit in this wine is impressive, with redcurrants, orange peel, peaches and lemon on the nose and palate. Full-bodied yet compressed and agile. Tasty finish. Restrained now, but given a year or two it will come into its own." James Suckling

Pinot Grigio Collio DOC 2022
Schiopetto's Pinot Grigio seduces with a nuanced and noble blend of yellow apples, spring flowers, wet stone and sweet smoke. On the entry, it is soft with an echo of green citrus and salty minerals that add tension, while lively notes of pear and inner flowers build towards the finish. It finishes with a pleasant inner sweetness, while a hint of spice and ginger lingers. This understated beauty is full of character and promises good ageing potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"A rich, carpeted ginger-pear wine that starts pretty, perky, floral and green. It spreads out like liquid silk, filling every corner with a kind of golden, silvery sheen that hints at honey and baked puff pastry to come, then returns to sweet peas and sugar snap peas." Jancis Robinson
"Delicate aromas of green apple, citrus, and fresh white flowers mingle in this expressive wine. The palate pops with vibrant flavors of ripe pear and lemon, complemented by a crisp acidity and a refreshing, clean finish." Wine Enthusiast
"The 2022 Pinot Grigio is remarkably pretty, with hints of sweet spice and white flowers emphasising freshly cut nectarines. The Pinot Grigio is incredibly fresh, with zesty acidity and a hint of green citrus to the ripe fruit. The finish is clean and of medium length, leaving a hint of young peach and chamomile. The balance of this wine is excellent and makes it easy to return to the glass again and again." Vinous
"Aromas of quince fruit, glazed lemons, peaches and a hint of praline. Also some wet stones. Medium to full-bodied with depth and a delicate phenolic note in the texture. Long and taut with a lively, nervy acidity that goes on and on. Lots of crushed stones and spices. Attractive." James Suckling
