“Alanera” Rosso Veneto IGT 2021
Some of the Alanera grapes are air-dried before fermentation using the appassimento method to promote the concentration of flavours. Dark ruby red in colour. On the nose, the aroma of dried and fresh cherries, with a hint of coffee and sweet tobacco. The palate is berry-fresh with a lovely acid wire and fine tannins. A full, round wine for many occasions. SUPERIORE.DE
"A well-balanced, medium-bodied version, with light, creamy tannins. A touch of plum skin acidity enlivens this red's flavors of black and red cherry, woodsy spices, dried thyme and smoke." Wine Spectator
"Crushed blackberries, sage, and hints of white smoke form a dusty bouquet as the 2021 Rosso Veronese Alanera opens in the glass. It is soothingly round and supple, with ripe red and blue fruits complicated by white pepper and saline minerals toward the close. Suggestions of tart cranberry and citrus mingle as the 2021 finishes with medium length and a gentle tug of fine tannin." Vinous
"Aromas of raspberries, game, licorice and smoke. Full-bodied with dense, silky tannins and crisp acidity. Savory, ripe fruit with a slightly cooked finish, otherwise enjoyable and easy to drink. Drink now." James Suckling

“Spezieri” Rosso Toscana IGT 2021 (BIO)
Ruby red colour, fresh nose of red fruits and spices. Pleasant flavour: fruity, balanced in tannin and acidity, very lively and crisp. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red colour. Still somewhat restrained on the nose, of ripe cherry, rosehip and cloves. Opens on the palate with clear fruit and animating acidity, fine, young tannins." Falstaff
"This tightly wound red's chewy tannins maintain a stranglehold on the wild strawberry and cherry fruit. Accents of earth and tobacco add detail, yet the finish feels pinched for now." Wine Spectator
"The nose balances savory, slightly astringent aromas of coffee, soil, pepper and balsamic with sweeter notes of cherries and blackberries. That berry element glows on the palate, but an enduring peppery earthiness preserves the balance. Firm tannins usher the acid into a sophisticated, salty finish." Wine Enthusiast

"Sounds of small forest fruits and Mediterranean macchia; compact structure, fine-grained tannins, lots of dark cherry fruit and herbs on the final. A Mediterranean Rosso." Vinum
"Bright, intense ruby red with brightening edges. Pleasant aroma of cherries, redcurrants and some spice on the nose. Precise fruit flavours on the palate with a fine acidity curve, pleasant drinking flow." Falstaff
"A fresh, simple red wine from Montecucco, showing light cherry and some pomegranate, geranium and potpourri. Crisp and medium-bodied on the palate, with fresh red fruit flavours and a chewy finish." James Suckling
"This red is supple yet well-structured, featuring cherry, raspberry, floral and mineral flavors. The dense tannins provide support, but they aren't overbearing and should fall into place over the next six months to a year." Wine Spectator

“Poggio Argentato” Bianco Toscana IGT 2023
Elisabetta Geppetti says she didn't want to jump on the popular Vermentino bandwagon and instead opted for this French-inspired blend to capture floral tones, drying mineral nuances and crunchy stone fruit from chalky soils. On the nose, a multi-layered bouquet with fine herbal notes. Powerful, fresh and elegant on the palate with a mineral acidity and citrus flavours on the finish. It is very refreshing to taste an original white wine from the Tuscan coast. SUPERIORE.DE
"Light, sparkling golden yellow colour. Fresh nose of green peppers, gooseberries and a hint of pineapple. Shows an animating acidity structure on the palate, follows through well, fresh and very enjoyable to drink right through to the finish." Falstaff
"The 2023 Poggio Argentato is laced with green apple, ginger, jasmine, mint and yellow flowers. Exotic and light on its feet, this blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Sémillon and Traminer will make a delightful apéritif white over the next year or two. Poggio Argentato remains one of the most distinctive whites on the Tuscan Coast." Vinous
"This white wine is expressive and juicy and offers aromas and flavours of grass, chives, gooseberries and peach. Crisp acidity and a smooth texture introduce the long-lasting finish." Wine Spectator
"Lots of green melon, apples, crushed stones and flint on the nose. Medium-bodied with lovely depth of fruit and notes of spices, gunpowder, sliced apples and lemongrass. Flavoursome finish. Deep, but framed." James Suckling

“Non Confunditur” Rosso Toscana IGT 2021
Rosso Non Confunditur from Argiano is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. The wine opens with a dark ruby red colour and aromas of wild berries, flowers and red berries. On the palate, it fortunately does not show the cloying heaviness or dense extraction found in many other protagonists of the Super Tuscan category. In fact, NC is accessible and fresh, rounded off with a good level of crisp acidity and a well-proportioned body. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby red with violet shimmer. Compact nose, ripe plum, coffee and dark chocolate. Powerful and juicy on the palate, builds up a lot of pressure, refreshing acidity and ripe tannins, medium-long final, slightly brittle at the end." Falstaff
"Taut and straightforward in profile, this red offers blackcurrants, black cherries, vanilla and peppery spices. It tightens up on the finish, where the chalky tannins linger." Wine Spectator
"The nose is simultaneously earthy and sweet, with notes of cherries, chocolate, tree bark and underbrush. That cherry-chocolate sweetness takes center stage on the palate, before tannins clear through them to resuscitate the earth tones." Wine Enthusiast

This fabulous cuvée of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet comes from Querciabella's Maremma vineyard. A charming bouquet with notes of tobacco and leather, which then give way to ripe fruit. The harmonious flavour is delicately fruity, intense and fresh. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Mongrana is a fun, juicy wine to drink now and over the next few years. Bright red cherry fruit, spice, mint, tobacco and leather add layers of nuance. Floral and savoury accents linger. The finish is a little dry, but that's only a minor criticism for a wine that offers so much value." Vinous

"The Taurasini Donna Chiara 2021 has a deep purple colour in the glass. It shows a dusty bouquet of dried violets, blackberries and menthol. Its texture is soft yet supple, with crisp red and black fruits carried by citrus-infused acidity. The 2021 tapers off with a hint of bitterness but retains a lovely energy and freshness. It would pair best with a savoury meal." Vinous

“Brolio” Chianti Classico DOCG 2022
Rich, dark shimmering ruby colour. Open-hearted, dense bouquet of blackberry, plums and a delicate hint of clove in the background. Juicy flavour, shows supple tannins, spreads out beautifully. A great Chianti Classico every year with an exemplary price/quality ratio. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very clear flavour with crisp cherries, blackberries and sour cherries. Animating with good freshness, raspberry notes, polished tannins, precise, lean, vertical style." Weinwisser
"Brilliant ruby red with brightening edges. Animating aroma of cherry and blackberry, with a slight spiciness behind it. Juicy on the palate with stimulating acidity and length." Falstaff
"The Chianti Classico 2022 is a flavoursome, fruit-driven wine that can be drunk now and over the next few years. Juicy red cherries, spices, leather, tobacco, cedar and mint are beautifully brought to the fore. The 2022 has a lot of charm." Vinous
"The Barone Ricasoli 2022 Chianti Classico Brolio is a bright, perfumed wine where the primary fruit takes centre stage. There is a strong cherry theme that adds verve and accessibility to the bouquet. This beautiful wine also benefits from an elegant mineral tone that frames the light fruit. A small percentage of Colorino is added to this red wine made from Sangiovese." Wine Advocate
"A burst of pure cherry in both aroma and flavour underlines this elegant red wine, while pink and mineral notes add detail along with a subtle hint of white pepper. Charming and long on the finish." Wine Spectator
"A textbook Chianti Classico, offering a fragrant juxtaposition of damp earth and spring flowers on a well-padded background of redcurrants, cranberries and sour cherries. Tightly knit with an elegant frame of light, powdery tannins and firm, steely acidity. Very impressive indeed." Decanter
"Lively and floral nose with lots of berries, Mediterranean herbs and red flowers. Juicy and well-balanced, with a medium body and light, crisp tannins. Really fresh, pure and beautiful. This wine is medium-bodied, drinkable, and a little more length on the finish would certainly take it to the next level. Enjoy now." James Suckling
"One of the impeccable landmarks of its kind, it is both balanced and complex. The nose opens with aromas of pomegranate, then notes of star anise and sensations of rhubarb. The sip is iodised, with hints of small fruits and nuances of sweet spices, closing with nuances of undergrowth." Luca Gardini

“Cutizzi” Greco di Tufo Riserva DOCG 2022
After a year of ageing in the cellar, Feudi's famous Greco "Cutizzi" is labelled Riserva.
Intense, straw-yellow colour and a complex bouquet in which the aromas of melon and pineapple alternate with spicy notes of camomile, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, it is round with a rich texture and the pleasant mineral note so typical of the Tufo region. Elegant, long finish with a delicate almond flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with green reflections. Yellow peach and orange zest on the nose, delicate nuances of dandelion. Yellow-fruity, juicy and fresh on the palate, lively acidity, pleasantly salty on the finish." Falstaff
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi opens with an array of sweet white flowers, chamomile and crushed apples. It balances ripe fruit trees and green melon with salty mineral tones and tantalising acidity. The 2022 finishes with a saline tension and notes of nectarine." Vinous
"Elegant, fresh and dense, with a delicious acidity and a chalky base note that frames flavours of ripe mirabelle plums and nectarines, blanched almonds, aniseed, hyssop and preserved lemon." Wine Spectator
"This is a fine Greco. It's savoury, almondy, quinine, bitter and spicy, while subtly moving into stone fruit territory without going over the top. A tremor of mineral tension and shotgun acidity finds a nervous meeting with a stiff upper lip of richness. Convincing." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi is just the thing for a plate of raw fish with spicy wasabi sauce or tuna tartare. Aged exclusively in stainless steel, it has the subtle power and firmness to support generous flavours of pear, quince and honeydew melon. The mineral signature of the wine is very pronounced." Wine Advocate
"Floral, zesty and peachy, it has good intensity allied to lovely freshness and a very saline finish. Still very youthful, it deserves the chance to gain some more bottle age before opening; wait and you'll be rewarded." Decanter

“Capitel Foscarino” Vino Bianco 2023
The aromatically fresh Capitel Foscarino made from Garganega and a pinch of Chardonnay is delicious. Brilliant colour in the glass, beguiling fruit on the nose, round and harmonious on the palate with wonderfully integrated acidity and beautiful, grippy length. SUPERIORE.DE
"Intense, bright straw yellow with golden reflections. Warm and inviting nose of juicy apricots, honeydew melon and a hint of lemon balm. Juicy on the palate, with animating acidity, medium body and beautiful length." Falstaff
"A mineral-driven white that's silky in texture and lightly mouthwatering, with smoke and oyster shell notes underscoring flavors of papaya, kiwi fruit and blood orange sorbet, plus accents of elderflower and cardamom." Wine Spectator
"A pungent nose with spicy, almost aniseed-like aromas of white fruit and stone fruit accompanied by a dense, mineral underpinning. Full-bodied, round and intense, with a hint of phenolic firmness driving the rich, ripe fruit through the long finish. A delicious white wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for a few years or even longer." James Suckling

With an incredible readership of three million wine lovers, Wine Spectator is one of the oldest and world's leading wine magazines in the USA. Founded in 1976 by Bob Morrisey, this English-language trade magazine has been under the wing of American publisher and editor Marvin R. Shanken for over forty years.
The trade journal publishes fifteen issues a year and is dedicated to detailed comparisons of current vintages as well as price-determining wine evaluations according to the recognised 100-point system. All Italian wines were awarded for twenty-nine years by the famous wine critic and then editor-in-chief James Suckling, although since 2010, after his retirement into independence, the Italy-savvy wine expert Bruce Sanderson has taken over the exciting role.
The Wine Spectator publishes an annual Top 100 ranking in which the countless wineries, from the big names to the smaller, lesser-known vintners, compete together for the title of the best wines in the world. Among international trade magazines, the English-language Wine Spectator with its rigorous team of critics is one of the most important players in the field of wine evaluation and offers insights worth knowing about the wine industry.
