Karmis, an animating white wine based on Vernaccia, comes from the lower Tirso Valley in the area between Cabras and Baratili - where the climate is typically Mediterranean with mild winters, little rain and very hot, breezy summers. And so its colour is brilliant and deep yellow, the bouquet delicate but persistent with hints of fresh fruit. Soft, full and with good flavour correspondence on the palate. Rosso De Ferrari from Boscarelli reveals a broad aroma of chocolate and redcurrants alongside the classic cherry flavour. This astonishing complexity for a wine of this price class continues in the flavour, in which the dense, soft structure is extremely pleasant. Well done! SUPERIORE.DE

"L'Atto" - "The deed". The names of Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti's wines are reminiscent of his father's world as a notary.

L'Atto exudes a bouquet of crushed purple candy, freshly cut plums and a hint of musk. It is soft and fleshy in style, while silky textures reveal an opulent display of ripe black fruits and sweet herbal notes on the palate. Spiced blackberries mingle with hints of ginger biscuits and violet-coloured flowers as it finishes long. There's plenty of immediate pleasure here, but not at the expense of balance. SUPERIORE.DE

Emilio Rotolo's Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso draws you into the glass with its deep, peppery black raspberry flavours, complemented by pretty violet and lavender tones. Wrapping the palate in a cloak of dark, ripe, textured fruit, it is incredibly elegant and polished, but also tangy. A layer of sweet tannins frames the expression and caresses the cheeks, while citrus fruit and a hint of spice linger. This is a very nice wine that will benefit from a slight chill. SUPERIORE.DE

Sofi Rosso is a cuvée made mainly from Lagrein and a small proportion of Merlot from vineyards between 230 and 350 metres above sea level. It has a strong garnet red colour and aromas reminiscent of ripe red fruit and violets. Fruity and fleshy on the palate, with spicy notes on the finish that make it easy to drink. SUPERIORE.DE

The "I Giganti" line, with its three wines, represents Contini's top collection. In white, rosé and red, they pay homage to the large statues that were discovered in the 1970s in the archaeological site of Mont'e Prama, just 2 km from the Cabras pond. They were farmers working the fields with their ploughs, bringing to light the precious treasures of the past. These sandstone figures were called "giants" because of their considerable size. They represent brave warriors, symbols of strength and courage.

I Giganti Rosa is an exciting cuvée of Nieddera and Cannonau. Delicate, elegant pink with peach-coloured reflections. Delicate and fruity on the nose, reminiscent of fresh roses with notes of citrus and raspberries.
