“Bianco d’Istine” (anfora) Toscana IGT 2022 (BIO)
The Trebbiano and Malvasia Bianca grapes for this exceptional white wine come from the Casanova dell'Aia vineyard in Radda in Chianti, the first 0.2-hectare, calcareous and clayey plot that the family bought and planted in the 1980s and then renewed in 2014. It matures on the fine lees mostly in terracotta amphorae and only a small part remains in stainless steel tanks. Total production per vintage: 2,500 bottles.
Brilliant, sparkling golden yellow colour. Intense and attractive on the nose with fresh notes of yellow-fleshed fruit and an elegant, delicate finish with a delicately reductive note. “Col Fondo” Prosecco Spumante di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG 2022 brut nature (sui lieviti)
Col Fondo has been part of the Adami product family since the early 1900s. Initially, grandfather Abele and later father Adriano bottled the wine in spring. This then began to ferment again in the warmer months of May and June, producing what is known in Veneto as "vin col fondo". The origin of the name is quickly explained: it is due to the yeasts that settle on the bottom of the bottle after all the residual sugar has been consumed, causing the wine to develop in an exciting way over time.
Exciting: Col Fondo can be drunk clear or cloudy with yeast to create new sensory experiences every time. Drinking it clear means discovering the classic notes of yeast, ripe fruit and also a light balsamic note such as mint, liquorice, thyme and eucalyptus. In this case, simply store the bottle upright and pour the wine carefully, separating it from the sediment that remains in the bottle. If, on the other hand, you prefer it cloudy with yeast, you are opting for a more original experience: the yeast aroma is emphasised, the aroma of ripe fruit lends a particularly intense balsamic note and the wine becomes stronger, richer and fuller on the palate. In this case, store the bottle horizontally and serve as normal. SUPERIORE.DE

Valpolicella Ripasso Valpantena DOC 2021
Bertani's Ripasso is a true classic. The grapes come from the hills around Valpantena and from the direct Valpolicella Classico area. The original Ripasso wine would have been an overloaded Valpolicella rather than a mini Amarone, and this example is true to this type and emphasises the fresh and light style of Valpantena, a long, steeply sloping valley with a particularly cool microclimate. Bertani uses the traditional method of production: The young, already fermented Valpolicella wine is blended with the skins that have dried naturally in the meantime, giving it a richer and more concentrated flavour. It then undergoes a second so-called "ripasso" fermentation, which is triggered by the yeasts still present in the skins.
Intense purple colour with violet reflections. The bouquet is full of dark red fruits such as blackberry, redcurrant and ripe cherry. It has a delicately bitter aftertaste which, together with the slightly increased residual sweetness, creates an exciting yet dry impression. Clean and fresh, with ripe and upfront cherry flavours accompanied by subtle shades of dried fruit, it is tangy with positive acidity and slightly exotic fruit flavours and ends with a clean and firm finish. “Maggiolo” Chianti Classico DOCG 2022 (BIO)
Since the 2019 vintage, the successor to the famous "Eticchetta Blu" has been called "Maggiolo", derived from maggio (May) and giaggiolo (iris). The latter covers the fields in May with its flowers and floral scents, which we also find in the bouquet of this Chianti Classico. Bright ruby red in colour, fruity aromas of violets, mulberries, blackberries and blueberries as well as hints of sweet spices and cocoa. Very fresh and juicy on the palate, then the soft tannins envelop the pretty fruit centre and, together with a fine saltiness, lead into the medium-long finish. “del Pompiere” Blanc des Rosis Venezia Giulia IGT 2022
Mario Schiopetto was born in 1930, grew up in the family-owned Osteria ai Pompieri and gained his first professional experience as a fireman and later as a lorry driver. In 1963, guided only by his taste and love of wine, he began to dedicate himself to wine production in his parents' winery and produced the first pure Tocai in 1965. At the time, the historic label featured a drawing of his fire engine, which he also used to deliver the wine to customers. With the 2019 vintage, the winery returned to these historical roots and included the cute drawing on some of its wine labels.
Schiopetto's classic, as it has been produced since 1986. Pale yellow in colour with greenish reflections. Yellow-fruity on the nose with subtle floral and herbal notes, which are also found on the palate. Multi-layered, mineral and fresh, Blanc des Rosis presents the famous grape variety identity of the region and is the classic par excellence not only for the winery. Elegant and full, it glides into an impressive final, increasing in depth and creaminess as it matures in the bottle. SUPERIORE.DE

The second wine from the exciting joint venture between the Santadi winegrowers' cooperative and Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta (Tenuta San Guido/Sassicaia): A seductive cuvée of Carignano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
