The Barbera vines for Sentieri are over 30 years old and grow at an altitude of around 300 metres on predominantly calcareous soils in the natural amphitheatre of Monleale. It is the complete opposite of an opulent, dense style. Sentieri has a wonderful Italian freshness and is 100% focussed on the primary fruit of the Barbera grape. It presents plenty of race and a personality that is elegantly restrained and very balanced. For us, this is Barbera in its purest form and here Walter Massa impressively proves that he is not only capable of top performance with the white Timorasso. Castello di Semivicoli is a great Rosso from the Chieti area and Masciarelli's first red wine cuvée. The vines in the vineyards of the province of L'Aquila were planted by Gianni Masciarelli in 2003. Medium-bodied purple red. On the nose black berries and nice peppery notes with some tobacco, violets and vanilla. Powerful and silky on the palate, polished tannin and a wonderfully fruity finish. Neroametà is a white vinified Aglianico that represents an old family project that aims to emphasise the great versatility of this noble and ancient grape variety. It pays homage to the varietal origins of the black Aglianico grape, which presents itself with convincing elegance in white vinification without any contact with the skins and is a tribute to the territorial and cultural origins of Campania.

Mastroberardino is particularly focussed on the old Fiano grape variety. It was already cultivated by the Romans, who called it Vitis apiana because of its special attraction to bees (apis). It produces a straw-coloured, wonderfully aromatic wine with a spicy honey and nutty bouquet. The characteristic and fresh flavour is very harmonious. SUPERIORE.DE
