“Cutizzi” Greco di Tufo Riserva DOCG 2022
After a year of ageing in the cellar, Feudi's famous Greco "Cutizzi" is labelled Riserva.
Intense, straw-yellow colour and a complex bouquet in which the aromas of melon and pineapple alternate with spicy notes of camomile, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, it is round with a rich texture and the pleasant mineral note so typical of the Tufo region. Elegant, long finish with a delicate almond flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with green reflections. Yellow peach and orange zest on the nose, delicate nuances of dandelion. Yellow-fruity, juicy and fresh on the palate, lively acidity, pleasantly salty on the finish." Falstaff
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi opens with an array of sweet white flowers, chamomile and crushed apples. It balances ripe fruit trees and green melon with salty mineral tones and tantalising acidity. The 2022 finishes with a saline tension and notes of nectarine." Vinous
"Elegant, fresh and dense, with a delicious acidity and a chalky base note that frames flavours of ripe mirabelle plums and nectarines, blanched almonds, aniseed, hyssop and preserved lemon." Wine Spectator
"This is a fine Greco. It's savoury, almondy, quinine, bitter and spicy, while subtly moving into stone fruit territory without going over the top. A tremor of mineral tension and shotgun acidity finds a nervous meeting with a stiff upper lip of richness. Convincing." James Suckling
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2022 Greco di Tufo Cutizzi is just the thing for a plate of raw fish with spicy wasabi sauce or tuna tartare. Aged exclusively in stainless steel, it has the subtle power and firmness to support generous flavours of pear, quince and honeydew melon. The mineral signature of the wine is very pronounced." Wine Advocate
"Floral, zesty and peachy, it has good intensity allied to lovely freshness and a very saline finish. Still very youthful, it deserves the chance to gain some more bottle age before opening; wait and you'll be rewarded." Decanter

“Pietracalda” Fiano di Avellino Riserva DOCG 2022
After a year of bottle ageing in the cellar, Feudi's famous Fiano "Pietracalda" is labelled Riserva.
A particularly high-quality Fiano di Avellino from Campania with a bouquet of light-coloured stone fruit, nuts and honey. On the palate, its fruity character, aromatic herbal notes and clean structure and minerality make it extremely stimulating. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Fiano di Avellino Pietracalda wafts up with a delicate blend of white flowers, young peach and crushed stone. It flows across the palate with silken textures offset by tactile mineral tones as a core of ripe pit fruits and inner florals amass toward the close. A youthful tension lingers as the Pietracalda finishes classically dry and lightly structured. Today, the 2022 is coy, yet it possesses the balance for medium-term cellaring." Vinous
"That's good. Taut and fresh. It relies on a chewy lattice of salted lemon pith, as well as a distinct acidity. Taut and medium-bodied, with dabs of pistachio, fennel, tonic and jasmine. Long and complex." James Suckling
"The Fiano di Avellino Pietracalda 2022 is another very approachable and drinkable white wine from Feudi di San Gregorio. It is fresh and lively, both on the nose and in the mouth, with lots of flavours of white melon, pear, almond and gravel." Wine Advocate

“Piano di Montevergine” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2017
Feudi's Riserva Piano di Montevergine is only vinified in outstanding years. The wine has a very impressive concentration and great richness in every vintage. Dark and brooding on first impression, it slowly awakens in the glass with a captivating blend of menthol, mint and exotic spices that evolves with a lively note of cinnamon-dusted redcurrant. This velvety-smooth and elegant wine appears heavy at first, but is quickly enlivened by a core of vibrant acidity and zesty citrus notes that embellish the tart black fruits. The tannins on the finish are sweet and chalky, while notes of wild red plum and blood orange keep the tasterer coming back for more. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby red with garnet reflections. Ripe fruit of plums, heart cherries and bay leaf on the nose, underlaid with cedar wood, tobacco leaf and cardamom. Very polished and straightforward on the palate with gripping tannins and a very spicy final." Falstaff
"Aromas of juicy red cherries, baked strawberries and sage. Medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Fresh and juicy on the palate with beautifully balanced red fruits. Subtle length. Charming." James Suckling
"The hot and dry 2017 vintage may be too much for most Italian appellations, but for Irpinia it is one of the best harvests. This Riserva comes from the village of Taurasi. Its dark purple colour and dark fruit profile with cassis and cherry are complemented by an aftertaste of dark chocolate, pistachio and sweet tobacco. The palate is compact with taut, chalky tannins and fresh fruit flavours and shows great balance at this stage. However, it lacks a little complexity, although it will develop more layers as it ages." Decanter
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2017 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine is one of Campania's flagship red wines and carries some of the heaviness and softness of this notoriously hot and dry growing season. The fruit comes from a beautiful site with volcanic sand and clay soils. This release is more open and approachable than some of the recent releases, which we have put aside for a long maturation in the cellar." Wine Advocate

“Serpico” Aglianico Irpinia DOC 2016
Serpico is an authentic, long-lasting wine made from Aglianico grapes, some of which come from vines that are over 100 years old. Intense, deep ruby red colour and an extremely complex bouquet with aromas of cherries, sweet spices, liquorice, coffee and cocoa. Its exceptional concentration and flavour as well as the enormously long-lasting finish are impressive. SUPERIORE.DE
"A beautiful nose of ripe red berries with sweet vanilla and chocolate. Medium body with firm tannins and good acidity that brightens the character of the black and red cherries. Good balance and length." James Suckling
"Firm and minerally, with a core of fine, dense tannins wrapped in flavours of crushed black and red cherries, iron, earth, tobacco and dark chocolate. Fresh and graceful on the palate despite its tight mesh, it opens slowly and lingers on the well-seasoned finish." Wine Spectator
"The 2016 Aglianico Serpico is impossibly fresh, with an array of hauntingly dark florals, steeped plums and white smoke forming its inviting bouquet. This is racy and sleek, also intensely mineral, with silky textures offset by tart wild berry fruits. Zesty acidity balances it all out, and hints of sour citrus add penetrating contrast. A wall of edgy tannins emerges through the dramatically long finish, leaving an air of balsamic spice and espresso bean to mingle under a waft of mentholated herbs. The 2016 will require a considerable amount of cellaring to come fully into balance." Vinous
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2016 Irpinia Aglianico Serpico has taken the proverbial turn towards tertiary flavours, or at least a first turn, showing pressed blackberries and blackcurrants surrounded by tarry smoke, campfire ash and toasted spices. The 2016 vintage will be remembered for its power and inner elegance, and these are the very qualities that have carried this wine so far and will continue to define its journey in the bottle. The finish reveals dusty volcanic notes and dry tannins with a medium-heavy mouthfeel." Wine Advocate
"The savoury bouquet shows the weathered sophistication of leather, cigars, earth and pepper, while undertones of oregano, tomatoes and cherries provide a burst of energy. On the lighter palate, the cherry element is emphasised by raspberry, but the spicy balance remains. The acidity plays around bright but firm tannins." Wine Enthusiast

“Piano di Montevergine” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2015 · MAGNUM in OWC
Feudi's Riserva Piano di Montevergine is only vinified in outstanding years. The wine has a very impressive concentration and great richness. Dark fruit, blackberry, flowers and spices on the nose, elegant, powerful flavours flanked by silky polished tannins and wood aromas on the palate. A wine with enormous potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark and brooding, the 2015 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine slowly awakens in the glass with a captivating blend of menthol, mint and exotic spices that evolves with a vibrant note of cinnamon-dusted blackcurrant. This velvety-smooth and elegant wine appears heavy at first, but is quickly enlivened by a core of vibrant acidity and zesty citrus notes that embellish the tart black fruits. The tannins on the finish are sweet and chalky, while notes of wild red plum and blood orange keep the tasterer coming back for more." Vinous
"Rich ruby red colour with a slightly brightening rim. Ripe cranberries, sour cherries and plums on the nose at first, then undergrowth and tobacco on the finish. Powerful and opulent on the palate, with polished tannins, finely balanced, powerful, long and balsamic final." Falstaff
"This Riserva comes from the villages of Piano di Montevergine and Taurasi and is harvested from relatively young vines aged 15 to 20 years. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, it focuses on graphite minerality and restrained cassis, enhanced by an herbaceous character and wild dark fruits linked by cocoa powder on the nose and palate. The tannins are velvety with tremendous mid-palate extraction and powerful acidity, yet the wine is balanced due to the great concentration of fruit. Overall, a bold style that will improve as it matures." Decanter
"This is a great vintage with plenty of spice and smoke. The 2015 is more explosive and the 2016 is more direct, refined and elegant. This wine has great volume in the mouth and is very impressive. Historically, the best vintages of this important wine include 1999, 2001, 2010 and 2013." Wine Advocate
"The aromas of black truffles, blackberries and walnuts follow through to a full body with plenty of fruit and hints of oak. Slightly dry at the end now, but delivers plenty of character." James Suckling

“Pàtrimo” Rosso Campania IGT 2016
The pure Merlot Pàtrimo fascinates with its dense ruby red colour, which almost tends to black and yet shows itself clearly. On the nose it reveals aromas of black fruits with hints of sweet spices, curry, but also eucalyptus, vanilla and coffee. On the palate, volume and concentration leave a lasting impression. SUPERIORE.DE
"I tasted this wine twice over the course of six months, in advance of its commercial release. The 2016 Pàtrimo is quite a wine and needs all the extra bottle time it can get. Indeed, I would suggest putting it at the back of your cellar for another 5 years (at least). It opens to a black and impenetrable appearance. This is an elaborate and beautifully constructed wine that is put together piece by piece like a jigsaw puzzle. When viewed as a whole, all those tiny pieces create a beautiful portrait of a grape as the protagonist and of a region as its context. This full-bodied Merlot has made important strides since I first tasted it. Today, it is more expansive and exuberant. It shows lots of volume and depth with elegance and finesse." Wine Advocate

“DUBL EDITION POLTRONA FRAU” Metodo Classico Millesimato 2016 brut · in gift box
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 out of an awareness of the great richness of the indigenous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. A consultant was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his flair for the specialities of the vines and vineyards.
The DUBL Metodo Classico Millesimato 2016 opens a new chapter in the historic collaboration between Poltrona Frau and Feudi di San Gregorio, which began in 2004 with the creation of some furnishings for the winery by the famous designers Lella and Massimo Vignelli. Three Italian excellence - the craftsmanship of Poltrona Frau, the timeless design of Vignelli and the winemaking expertise of Feudi di San Gregorio - come together once again to create an exclusive work of art, limited to 2,000 bottles.
A special wine was selected to celebrate the launch of the DUBL "Edizione Poltrona Frau" bottle: A Millesimato 2016, aged on the lees for more than eight years and made from 100% Greco grapes, a grape variety that has been prized since Roman times and is now one of Italy's most prestigious. The red leather label is handmade from production waste by Italy's most famous leather manufacturer, Poltrona Frau. Each individual label is applied by hand with the artisanal care that characterises both the leather processing and the long ageing process of the wine. SUPERIORE.DE

Who has enjoyed a good regional wine in Naples or on one of the offshore islands Ischia or Capri in the vacation, has certainly already come across this big name: Feudi di San Gregorio. The winery, which is located in Sorbo Serpico in the Irpinia region and has grown from small beginnings to its present size in less than ten years, is known for its strong personality and its terroir wines. By the way, Pope Gregory the Great was already cultivating wine in the region in the sixth century. Today Feudi di San Gregorio is a symbol of the oenological renaissance of southern Italy. The authentic wines produced there from ancient vines are therefore repeatedly rewarded with high scores by wine critics. An example is the deep dark Aglianico, which has been elaborated to one of the highest rated wines of Italy. Feudi di San Gregorio was awarded the title of best Italian winery in 2013. "Oscar del Vino" excellent.
At an altitude of 350 to 700 metres, the vineyards of Tufo, Taurasi and Santa Paolina are home to Aglianico and other popular grape varieties such as Fiano, Greco and Falanghina. The grapes benefit from a special microclimate that is different from the rest of Campania. The vegetation is very dense and varied. Endless seeming mountain and hill ranges alternate with rivers and lakes. This creates special wind conditions that guarantee a good supply of rainwater.
Feudi di San Gregorio has shaped the image of the Campania wine landscape more than any other wine house for several decades. Far-reaching strategic changes made by a new management team have ushered in a new era that is having a positive effect on the range of modern wines. The urge to discover of the early years with a stronger connection to the native soil revives. This is mainly due to the energetic President Antonio Capaldo, who previously worked for the investment bank Lazard and the management and strategy consultancy McKinsey. But the change of direction is also attributable to Pierpaolo Sirch, who - supported by Marco Simonit - has given all the white wines aged in steel in the high-tech cellar a new style. The Technical Director, who has a dual role as manager and production manager, has ensured that the wines' loyalty to the terroir and personality are combined with a harmony and freshness that are even more pronounced than in previous years. According to wine connoisseurs, the reds have also clearly benefited from Sirch's handwriting. SUPERIORE.DE
"The new start is based on the exceptional vineyard and the recovery of a stylistic identity that has never before been so close to the terroir."Gambero Rosso
