"The 2019 Taurasi Riserva Grand Cru Luigi Moio is a spice box on the nose that captures the imagination with aromas of crushed wild blueberries, black cherries, cloves, lavender and a hint of leather. This wine is a model of purity, silky and serene, with polished waves of ripe red and black fruit carried by a stream of vibrant acidity. A saturation of exotic spices develops towards the end. The 2019 finishes long and structured, with a hint of blood orange adding freshness as the violet florals slowly fade. This is the first vintage of the Grand Cru Luigi Moio, which comes from a plot originally used for Terra d'Eclano and planted in 2015.
