For some years now, Riccardo Cotarella's Montiano has been characterised by great freshness and dark, concentrated fruit. In contrast to the vintages of the early 1990s, the wine is incredibly lively and dynamic with black cherry, redcurrant, sweet apricot and exotic spices delivered with full intensity. We also find a lovely Mediterranean element here, reminiscent of grilled rosemary or lavender.
