Chiaretto Valtènesi Riviera del Garda Classico DOC 2022
Classic Chiaretto, the typical and very popular rosé cuvée from Lake Garda, smells fresh and delicate, vinous and of small red fruits. With its cool fruitiness and pleasant acidity, Chiaretto embodies the pure cheerfulness of an enjoyable summer's day and is neither obtrusively pleasing nor arbitrary - we love it! SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich, dark salmon pink with an orange centre. Intense aroma of tangerine, raspberry and some yellow apple, then floral notes, followed by rose water. Pleasantly juicy on the palate, crisp acidity and clear citrus fruit, vertical texture, with traction." Falstaff

“Demesse Vecchie” Lugana DOC 2021
Demesse Vecchie is named after the village where Olivini has its family seat. The historic part of the vineyard was home to a nunnery in the late 17th century. The addition "vecchie" promises that the grapes for this very complex Lugana come from the estate's oldest vines, some of which are over 50 years old. They are also harvested late and carefully selected, after which they are matured on the fine lees for several months.
Straw yellow with golden reflections. Orange peel, juicy peaches and hints of almond butter on the ripe nose. Full and delicately fruity on the palate, with delicate notes of vanilla and honey, some apricot and banana. A well-balanced, dry wine with a wonderful balance between fruit and acidity and by no means heavy or broad, but infinitely long. SUPERIORE.DE
"This wine from the estate's single vineyard opens with aromas of ripe pears, lemon peel and oil, citrus blossom and a hint of river stone. The round palate offers a blend of fruit, grapefruit and tangerine, followed by mouth-watering acidity and a savoury finish." Wine Enthusiast
"Chalky phenols meet an oaky touch that leads the way to a palate of spiced fruit, lanolin and melon accents. The acidity, fresh as sea spray, ensures a very good length. Very drinkable." James Suckling

Absolute respect for the unique character of the grapes and the development of new and different production methods for each grape variety are two essential elements of the Olivini family's wine philosophy. In the beautiful hillsides around the town of Desenzano del Garda in the classic Lugana area, the magnificent autochthonous variety Trebbiano di Lugana, here also known as Turbiano, is the main actress in the vine portfolio on clayey and calcareous marl. The pretty winery from the small municipality of San Martino della Battaglia, which has been active in professional viticulture since 1970, is now managed with great passion and commitment by Giorgio, Giordana and Giovanni Olivini.
The sibling trio had initially practised viticulture as a hobby, but then transformed the land holdings of their parents Graziella and Giulio into a modern winery and continued the long-standing viticultural tradition of their grandparents. With a dozen wines stamped by the oenologist and Turbiano expert Antonio Crescini, the young winemakers, whose first names, like those of their ancestors, bear the letter "G" the northern Italian winery on the top floor of the Lombard wine shop.
The estate, situated in the middle of the fascinating panorama of Lake Garda, regularly invests in new technologies and in the expansion of the wine cellar. Under the expert supervision of Crescinis, the grapes, harvested by hand and transported to the farm in small crates, are transformed into wines that are pleasing in their filigree texture and intensity. The white wines of Olivini convince with elegant fruity notes, mineral freshness and a considerable length.
After four years of experimentation, the time had come: in addition to Lugana Brut, a Spumante Rosé pressed from Barbera, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Groppello - all native grape varieties of Lake Garda - and also produced according to the classic method of bottle fermentation, was launched on the market. The winemaker from the province of Brescia has thus succeeded in creating a symbiosis with its sparkling wines from the region and its own grapes, supplemented by modern production technology.
From its oldest vineyards, the Olivini family has selected the best clones in terms of aroma and acidity structure; the buds of the precious plant material have been grafted and propagated. The new vines will serve to preserve and optimize the Lugana's vine variety treasure. SUPERIORE.DE
