“Sentieri” Barbera Marca Obertenga 2022
The Barbera vines for Sentieri are over 30 years old and grow at an altitude of around 300 metres on predominantly calcareous soils in the natural amphitheatre of Monleale. It is the complete opposite of an opulent, dense style. Sentieri has a wonderful Italian freshness and is 100% focussed on the primary fruit of the Barbera grape. It presents plenty of race and a personality that is elegantly restrained and very balanced. For us, this is Barbera in its purest form and here Walter Massa impressively proves that he is not only capable of top performance with the white Timorasso. “Per Sbaglio” Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOP 2020
This is the fourth vintage of a truly fortuitous product. Paolo actually wanted to plant more Moscato vines in this 1.5 ha small and sustainably cultivated vineyard when he recognised the quality of the Barbera grapes ripening there in 2016. So, without further ado, he decided to vinify a Barbera, which he then aptly named "Per Sbaglio" - which means "by mistake". We congratulate him on this decision, just 3,000 bottles of which reach the market every year. Rich, sparkling ruby red. Classic ripe raspberry notes on the nose, red berries again on the palate, very rounded, full-bodied and with great drinking flow. SUPERIORE.DE

“Trevigne” Barbera d’Alba DOC 2021
In contrast to the past, this full and fragrant Barbera is now matured to a greater extent in large oak barrels - and less in barriques. This favours the softness, fruitiness and suppleness of this wonderful wine. Tre Vigne means that the grapes come in equal parts from the top vineyards Mosconi, Ginestra and San Pietro. Deep, dark ruby red in colour. The bouquet has a fine aroma of sour cherries and violets, the full and soft flavour has a pleasantly fresh acidity that enhances the long drinking pleasure. Freisa Langhe DOC 2019 vivace
The grapes for this very traditional Piedmont red wine come from selected vineyard sites on the hills of the Langhe region. The special thing about the vinification: a small part of the mash is frozen unfermented. The alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks lasts about two weeks, with very little handling and agitation of the mash. Then, without the addition of sulphurous acid, the young wine is moved to a wooden barrel where the malolactic fermentation takes place. Once this is complete, the previously frozen portion of unfermented must is added and the wine is bottled in this way. A second fermentation now takes place in the bottle, whereby these are placed upright so that the yeast deposit settles on the bottom of the bottle.
Deep ruby red. Intense aroma with fruity red and black berries and floral notes as well as nuances of asphalt. Powerful on the nose, full-bodied, with prominent tannin and fresh acidity on the palate. Fine perlage and a long, persistent final.
Please note that this wine should always be stored standing up. Also, care should be taken when opening, as the pressure may vary from bottle to bottle due to the carbonic acid naturally produced in the wine. SUPERIORE.DE

“Maggiorina” Rosso 2022
The Maggiorina vineyards in the municipality of Boca and Prato Sesia are situated at altitudes between 400 and 450 metres. The vines are now between 40 and 100 years old. Behind the name Maggiorina lies an ancient heritage of vineyard cultivation dating back to Roman times. The cultivation of vines in the hills of Novara was already mentioned by Pliny the Elder (23-79 AD) in his "storia naturalis". For centuries, the maggiorina system was the only way of planting vineyards in Boca: three vines develop in the four cardinal directions and form a square like a goblet (quadretto maggiorino).
Maggiorina is produced from Croatina and Nebbiolo grapes as well as 10 other indigenous varieties and is a so-called mixed set with a lot of bite, sour cherry and blackcurrant flavours and an incredible drinking flow. Maggiorina is fresh, lively, delicately perfumed and at the same time fruity, mineral and spicy. The bright red cherry fruit and a whole range of floral and herbal notes give the wine its striking aromatic presence. We are enamoured with its energy and personality, combined with a certain wildness and breed that is extremely appealing and distinctive. SUPERIORE.DE
