Sweet, ripe cherry and berry fruits are underlined by notes of liquorice and mint in this straightforward red wine. “Oudeis” Metodo Classico Rosé de Saignée Alta Langa DOCG 2017 brut
"Oudeis" has its origins in the Greek name "Odysseus" and means "nobody". And indeed, no one but the outstanding terroir of the Alta Langa is responsible for the complexity of Enrico Serafino's sparkling wines.
Delicate, copper-coloured pink with orange reflections. Elegant and mineral nose, with delicate hints of fruit, yeast and notes of grapefruit and redcurrants. The sensation on the palate is savoury, almost ecstatic, with well-integrated perlage and a perfect balance between spiciness and freshness and an infinite persistence and juiciness. SUPERIORE.DE
"This delicately scented sparkler offers aromas of red woodland berry and brioche. Linear and savory, the elegantly sparkling palate features juicy pomegranate, tart cherry and white pepper before closing on a hint of hazelnut. It's remarkably fresh for the vintage, with bright acidity." Wine Enthusiast

“Oudeis” Metodo Classico Alta Langa DOCG 2019 brut
"Oudeis" has its origins in the Greek name "Odysseus" and means "nobody". And indeed, no one but the outstanding terroir of the Alta Langa is responsible for the complexity of Enrico Serafino's sparkling wines.
Bright, rich straw yellow colour. The fragrant nose seduces with a salty minerality, a potpourri of country flowers, lime, blood orange and ripe peach. The palate is exciting, fresh and extremely flavoursome, with well-integrated perlage and precisely measured intensity and a texture that is never too heavy or too flat. Oudeis Brut has a very energetic arc of tension and convinces in the remarkable final with a refined interplay of fruit and acidity. SUPERIORE.DE
"This Alta Langa opens with a mix of lemon and orange peel, baked apples, yellow flowers and cake batter. On the palate, it is round with a vinous note that emphasises the character of the Pinot Noir, with cherry and flowers and a mineral finish." Wine Enthusiast
"Alta Langa's Brut Oudeis 2019 is remarkably pretty, with a delicate blend of peaches and young mango accompanied by hints of incense and spice. It shows a round, smooth texture and juicy acidity with a core of tart fruit that creates a nice tension towards the end. The finish is of medium length, leaving a hint of sour citrus and a steely minerality that gives it a tactile edge. The 2019 is beautifully made and shows incredible balance. Well done." Vinous
"Limpid and creamy nose with brioche, lemons, sliced pears and chalk. Restrained but generous, with crisp, fine beads on the medium-bodied palate. Tangy and lightly saline in the finish." James Suckling
"An elegant sparkling wine with a fine mousseux. It offers well-defined acidity and a savoury undertone interwoven with a beautiful palette of yellow peach, grapefruit granita, crushed lemon thyme and notes of white flowers." Wine Spectator
"Enrico's vision in this revealing Pinot Noir/Chardonnay blend from 36 months on the fine lees, giving a clear idea of the terroir, nose with notes of white peach, broom and cedar thyme, taut mouthfeel of beautiful complexity and density, finish with a fruity orchestral return." Luca Gardini

“Zero” Metodo Classico Alta Langa Riserva DOCG 2017 pas dosé
This is where the sea and the volcano meet: straw yellow with golden reflections. Opens with a delicate aroma of ripe yellow peach, melon, dried banana, a hint of vanilla, then smoke with a dark, mineral undertone and a subtle hint of coriander. Explosively flavoursome on the palate with a fine-grained perlage and beguiling juiciness, with an exciting balsamic note and an inspiring, bone-dry freshness and fine saltiness on the endless finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with delicate copper-gold reflections. Grapey at the beginning, then unroasted hazelnuts, some pear, banana and pink flowers on the nose. On the palate with elegant fruit melting, savoury, on yellow peach with well-integrated perlage, creamy final, on fine nougat, fine persistence, long." Falstaff
"Firm and minerally, with the fine chalkiness of the mousse softening the impact of this white's mouthwatering acidity. Carries notes of fresh-cut apple, Marcona almond, white cherry and dried herbs." Wine Spectator
"The Alta Langa Zero 2017 is as fresh as a breath of mountain air. White smoke and stone dust give way to crushed green apples and a hint of pine slices. The palate is edgy and mineral, while a silky wave of fine bubbles provides balance and crisp fruit trees add a distinct savouriness on the inside. It finishes with admirable length yet remarkable freshness, leaving a savoury finish that caresses the tongue. This is an intense experience, to say the least, one that keeps the taster coming back for more." Vinous
"Green apple and lemon zest/oil dominate the aromatic profile and show a mineral character. On the palate, the wine is lean and savoury and goes perfectly with oysters and other seafood." Wine Enthusiast
"Another refined blend dominated by Pinot Noir, taut, crystalline and intense. On the nose, notes of lime, sage and apricot with menthol notes. Great acidity on the palate, with a return of menthol and fruity notes. Beautiful finish." Luca Gardini

Barolo di Serralunga d’Alba DOCG 2019
Enrico Serafino's classic opens in a medium-dark colour with fragrant aromas of dark fruits, plums, spices, iron ore and freshly ploughed earth. Medium-bodied on the palate, rather slender, which is not a flaw, but emphasises the elegance and class of the Nebbiolo grape very nicely. The tannins are present but pleasantly tame, with peppery nuances on the finish, a salty mineral aftertaste and delicate nougat on the final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with a slightly lighter rim. Fruity nose of cherries, plums and forest fruits, with a light cedar wood note and a hint of liquorice in the background. Fresh, juicy and with gripping tannins on the palate, with a fruity, slightly drying finish." Falstaff
"The Comune del Serralunga d'Alba Barolo shows why this wine was created for the village. This wine shows classic Serralunga vitality, power and balance with aromas of crushed black cherries, wild roses, dried herbs and crushed stone on the nose. The dense palate offers a core of ripe red fruit with undergrowth, tea, liquorice root and leather, finishing with lively acidity and firm tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"Fresh and lively Barolo with notes of red berries, tangerine peel, dried flowers and bark. Medium to full-bodied. Crisp and structured with firm, dusty tannins. Juicy on the palate with red fruits and a spicy, savoury finish. Attractive now, but even better from 2025." James Suckling

“Zero140” Metodo Classico Alta Langa Riserva DOCG 2010 pas dosé
Zero140 is Enrico Serafino's most extreme Alta Langa and also the most impressive Italian Metodo Classico we have ever tasted. It represents the pinnacle of Enrico Serafino's Alta Langa project and sets an undisputed benchmark in Italy's world of sparkling wines produced according to the méthode champenoise in terms of finesse and emotionality (and length of bottle ageing).
"Refining a bottle for 12 years means having 12 vintages in your own underground cellars at the same time. How can you recognise them? How do you emphasise the complexity of such a special wine? We have chosen to paint the bottom of the bottles with a different colour for each vintage produced, marking the beginning of the rotation of the remuage on the glass. In addition, the decision not to use the label emphasises the complexity of the wine. Therefore, on each bottle, in addition to the capsule required by law, you will only find the jewel that represents our logo or the section of a fossil from the Piedmontese Tertiary, an unmistakable sign of the footprint that nature has left in the natural world over the centuries.
And finally, the choice of colours. The quality of our wines comes from nature. That's why we decided to be inspired by the theory of planets and colours. This connects the sun, the nine planets, the moon and Ceres (dwarf planet) with the different colours that exist: 12 colours that identify and distinguish the 12 vintages of ZERO 140, which are simultaneously refined in our cellars. Starting with the yellow of the sun, we continued with the green of Venus and tried to represent life in colours. The current vintage is 2010, which has been given the black colour dedicated to the planet Pluto." Paolo Giacosa, Kellermeister
Pale gold in the glass. The inviting, deliberately delicately reductive bouquet of poached pear, peach with toasted almonds and baked bread. On the palate, it has a warm, rich texture and a never-ending, soft and perfectly integrated perlage, which only occurs when the wine is given time to mature. A lot of time. On the palate, an unrivalled complex, balanced, buttery and creamy texture, elegant and intense, with an invigoratingly fresh acidity, followed by a deeply emotional mineral finish. This absolutely exceptional sparkling wine opens the doors of Fort Knox (and others) in the blink of an eye. Blessed are those who can call a bottle their own. SUPERIORE.DE
"Pale straw yellow with golden reflections and a subtle perlage. A nose of ripe stone fruit, a hint of nutmeg and bread crust. Hearty on the palate, with clear, ripe fruit and well-integrated perlage, finishing with buttery notes, very mature. A speciality." Falstaff
"A creamy and delicious sparkling wine with attractive notes of lemon cake, custard, brioche and apricot. Medium-bodied, with a very fine, silky foam. Delicious notes of pastry. The whole is held together by a sharp acid backbone." James Suckling
"Aromas of lemongrass, candied lemon peel, orange blossom honey, hazelnuts and fresh croissants pour from the glass of this vital and important wine. On the palate, it is lifted by an energetic acidity and has a richness and depth that comes from 140 months on the lees, but also citrus notes that finish with a lingering minerality." Wine Enthusiast
"The Enrico Serafino 2010 Alta Langa Metodo Classico Pas Dosé Riserva Zero 140 is a wine that assembles dozens of tiny nuances into a unified aromatic front. The result is subtle and elegant: unripe peach, quince, apple, mint, lemon jam, saffron, breakfast biscuits and dusty minerals. There's a lot going on, but one thing's for sure: the wine's freshness and bright primary intensity don't betray the fact that it was made 13 years ago. It is impressive." Wine Advocate
"The Alta Langa Riserva Zero 140 2010 blends fresh notes of camomile, mint and sweet smoke with enriching notes of whole butter and Werther's sweets. It is elegant with a luxurious, silky foam that coats the palate while ripe fruit and a hint of spice play around the palate. The word "seamless" comes to mind as the 2010 finishes long, yet lively and fresh. Notes of baked apples and pears mingle with a noticeable mineral note. With the Zero 140 Riserva, Enrico Serafino has taken his Alta Langa game to a whole new level." Vinous
"This wine, which bears the name of a dwarf planet, consists of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay from 56 small plots in 16 municipalities. It is the result of Alta Langa's first experiment with extreme refinement: 140 months on the lees give this Riserva wine an exceptional character. The mousse is silky, almost vaporous, and aromas of bread dough, caramelised butter and figs conquer the nose. On the palate, it is acidic, soft and dry." Decanter

Limitation of 3 articles per customerBarolo Briccolina Riserva DOCG 2016
Briccolina is a cru of great complexity that takes its name from its location on the top of the hill. Enrico Serafino's Barolo Riserva is a full-bodied, austere and powerful Barolo that is the result of a sustainable cultivation process. Very complex on the palate, initially rather closed, it then opens up with multi-layered fruit, roasted herbs and a fine menthol note on the finish. It has a rather exotic flavour at first, which makes it particularly exciting and almost incomparable with the other wines from the famous appellation. You have to take your time, but the reward comes with the next sip ... SUPERIORE.DE
"Enticing aromas of dark-skinned fruit, underbrush, violet and camphor form the nose. On the smooth, full-bodied palate, notes of licorice and orange zest accent ripe Marasca cherry and hints of hazelnut set against firm, refined tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"Vibrant and well-structured, this perfumed Barolo reveals hay, chamomile, strawberry, cherry, iron and spice aromas, with a silky texture and a long, savory finish." Wine Spectator
"The Enrico Serafino 2016 Barolo Riserva Briccolina is balanced and bright with ample muscle that is a characteristic of Serralunga d'Alba (the village where this wine sources its fruit). The bouquet delivers candied cherry and blackberry with iron-rich earth, black rose and fragrant tea leaf." Wine Advocate

In 1878, the then 23-year-old Enrico Serafino, heir to a wealthy family, fulfilled his dream and founded the eponymous winery in Canale d'Alba. In the midst of the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Lange Roero and Monferrato, the most typical regional wines of Piedmont have been fermented for over 140 years.
The winery cultivates about 60 hectares of vineyards, which are a true gift geologically and climatically and are the basis for wines of the highest quality. The subtropical climate provides ideal conditions, the gentle slope and moderate temperatures favor a controlled and high quality growth of the grapes. Red grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbara and Dolcetto or white varieties such as Arneis, Cortese and Moscato thrive on the slopes.
Thus, Enrico Serafino's wines are a perfect expression of Piedmontese craftsmanship: time-consuming vinification, elegant and multi-faceted. Tradition alone is not enough, of course, because to constantly improve requires dedication and foresight. Since 2015, the winery has been owned by Kyle Krause, a wine collector and dedicated businessman from the United States who is passionate about Piedmont thanks to his Italian heritage. He also owns the famous Vietti winery, which for decades has been undisputedly one of the best producers of Barbera and Barolo. SUPERIORE.DE
