    With further bottle ageing, this Barbaresco tends to be softer and more open, with soft tannins and a broad palate, thanks to the microclimate created by the cru's proximity to the Tanaro river.

    Pora overwhelms with incredible complexity and a variety of aromas ranging from stone fruit, raspberries and liquorice to dried flowers, spices and white truffle. Despite all its lush fruit, the Pora has a good structural foundation. Juicy notes of dark cherries, plums, espresso, menthol and liquorice unfold in this forward, wonderfully inviting Riserva from the Produttori. The wine outdoes itself in flavours, but its lean and polished personality continues on the palate. Multi-layered, exciting and still quite youthfully austere today, it needs a few years to relax and develop. SUPERIORE.DE

    "Opens with strong spicy notes of cardamom before a potpourri of meadow flowers and sandalwood. Summer berries flood the palate with a juicy freshness. Some grainy tannins tug at the edges, but overall this wine is very supple. Pora lies next to Asili and approaches the Tanaro River, resulting in richer, more fertile soil." Decanter

    "The 2020 Barbaresco Riserva Pora opens with a medium-light colour with garnet-red reflections. The aromas include wild cherry, cassis and blue flowers. There is also a hint of crushed limestone. The Pora vineyard is located near the Tanaro Valley, where warm air accumulates, and the vines are planted on fertile soils.
