The grapes for this rare Barolo (only around 1,000 bottles) come from vines over 50 years old from a small vineyard that Luca leased from a friend. In a few years' time, it will be labelled "Vecchie Vigne", although this would already be entirely appropriate today. Incidentally, Luca does not specify the vineyard site, as this particular Terlo Cru plot has the characteristics of two vineyards: Rivera and Le Coste. Long maceration and fermentation in large oak barrels. The style of this rare wine is elegant and characterised by black fruits, tar, liquorice and forest floor. Top-class tannins and a long, silky final round off the picture of an exceptional wine. SUPERIORE.DE
