Chardonnay Puglia IGT 2023
Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. The nose is dominated by notes of white fruit flesh, apples and pineapple, which are well balanced by citrus notes of orange blossom and jasmine. Its fragrant palate is flavoursome with a soft entry and balanced freshness, with a light nutmeg spice on the finish. An extremely straightforward Chardonnay, as we love it, with a cool style, fine salinity and a fruity finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Aromas of lemon, crushed stone, white flowers, stone fruit and dried pineapple swirl together to create a fresh, enticing nose, and continue to mix and mingle on the bright, salty palate as acid gleams overhead. It is refreshing, but also substantial." Wine Enthusiast

“Calafuria” Negroamaro Rosato Salento IGT 2023
The Negroamaro grapes for the extremely delicate Calafuria come from vineyards that stretch along the Adriatic coast in Salento. The region boasts a long tradition of producing rosé wines from Negroamaro, a grape variety that best expresses its potential near the sea. Pale pink in colour, the bouquet has fruity citrus notes of grapefruit and orange blossom and hints of jasmine. Pleasantly fresh on the palate with excellent aromatic persistence and a delicate flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, sparkling apricot colour. Very fragrant and expressive nose of fresh apricots, raspberries and white flowers, also has some citrus fruit, light milk chocolate on the finish. Juicy, clear and accessible on the palate, with a dancing interplay of fruit and acidity, precise, with good length, accessible." Falstaff
"The 2023 Rosato Calafuria is simultaneously energetic and creamy, with a natural balance between tart stone fruit, ripe berries and round, almost smoky notes of candle wax and lanolin. Salty and addictive, I find myself reaching for the bottle again and again. A nice hint of mint lingers at the end. Delicious." Vinous
"The nose is all summery indulgence with watermelon and cherry blossom, cut with the freshness of pink grapefruit and salt. The palate leans into that citrusy salinity, while acid bursts overhead like a fireworks spectacular, to create a fizzy, undeniably delightful wine." Wine Enthusiast

"Dark ruby red with violet reflections. Ripe wild berries, some honey and beeswax on the nose, also subtly reminiscent of apricots and aniseed. Makes room on the palate, shows firm pressure and juicy berry fruit, fresh and exciting, then a little rough and warming on the final." Falstaff
"This refined red wine has a dark core of ripe black plums, mulberries and sun-dried black cherries, supported by a lively acidity. “Trentangeli” Castel del Monte Rosso DOC 2019 (BIO)
The organically grown Castel del Monte Trentangeli is a "super Apulian" blend of 70% Aglianico, 20% Cabernet and 10% Syrah. A compelling and captivating wine with beautiful tones of damp earth and terracotta, followed by luscious ripe fruit, spices, bacon, blackberry jam, candied plums, rum cake and Indian spices. The wine shows an international flavour with lovely layers of oak that are well integrated. On the final, stately, soft tannins and a considerable length with a fine spicy note. Great! SUPERIORE.DE
"An elegant, round red wine with a medium body and a juicy blend of plump cherry, raspberry pulp, orange peel acidity and accents of graphite and garrigue. The finish is tightened by supple tannins." Wine Spectator
"The 2019 Trentangeli is dusty and floral in the glass with a dark mix of crushed wild berries and violette pastilles. It is soft and round with a tantalising, balancing acidity. Crisp red and black fruits spill over a core of savoury minerals. It leaves a web of fine-grained tannins that envelop the palate with youthful serenity. Tart red plums and a hint of sour citrus fruit mingle on the finish. The Trentangeli is very beautiful." Vinous

Silky and supple, it caresses the palate with an elegant wave of ripe peach and nectarine. Lingers long, leaving a mineral and acidic tension as notes of candied lime fade. Not only is it stunning today, but it has a bright future. SUPERIORE.DE

Smooth on the palate, with a fine fruity flavour and subtle spiciness, soft and balanced, with a fine woody aroma and a certain saltiness on the final." Falstaff
"Fresh and graceful, with delicate notes of glazed apples, apricots and mandarins, with fragrant hints of macadamia nuts, honeysuckle and vanilla. Clean and slightly salty on the finish." Wine Spectator

“Masseria Maime” Negroamaro Salento IGT 2019
Charismatic Negroamaro in an accessible and modern style without gimmickry. In the glass, dark lines of blackberries, plums and blackcurrants with generous background notes of chocolate, Indian spices, teriyaki and smoky barbecue sauce. Noble tannins and ripe fruit flavours form a wine that is both contoured and soft and yielding. Masseria Maime is ready to drink at a young age, but can safely mature for another five years or more. SUPERIORE.DE
"The nose features an unusual duo of vanilla and dill, with undertones of meat, plums and wood. On the palate, the sweeter notes of plum and vanilla blossom continue, with the woodsy herbaceousness lingering in the background. Relaxed tannins create a round texture." Wine Enthusiast

The world-famous Antinori family is already the 26th generation to dedicate itself to the high art of winemaking and is passionate about it. But it was only shortly before the turn of the millennium that the wine dynasty began to gain its first experience in Apulia with the beautiful Tormaresca winery, which was acquired in 1998 and covers around 500 hectares, not far from the town of San Pietro Vernotico in the province of Brindisi. Nevertheless, the estate, which also includes olive groves, grain fields and woodland, has quickly managed to develop into one of the most important wine houses in the southern Italian wine-growing region. A constant succession of growth and renewal processes in the vineyards and in the cellar give rise to quality wines with a strong territorial identity in two estates with different climatic and soil conditions.
The Negroamaro Masseria Maime and the Bocca di Lupo are among the top products of the Tormaresca house. The wines are authentic and complex and promise connoisseurs a high level of drinking pleasure. The organically produced Trentangeli and the bestseller Torcicoda are also worthy of mention. Both wines are of excellent quality and are highly praised in every vintage, among other things because of their moderate price.
The 250-metre-high vineyards in Bocca di Lupo are not far from the Vulture volcano in Minervino Murge in the Murgia hill country, which belongs to the DOC Castel del Monte. On tufa soils, mainly Aglianico and Nero di Troia are grown there, as well as most white varieties - Fiano and Moscato di Trani in addition to international grape varieties. The climate prevailing in this area is characterised by high temperature fluctuations between day and night. Masseria Maime in Pietro Vernotico in Alto Salent - located near the Adriatic coast between Lecce and Brindisi - is much larger than Bocca di Lupo. Here, mainly Negroamaro and Primitivo grow, as well as the white varieties Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The use of the old Alberello method aims to reduce water consumption. However, the cordon method is also used here. SUPERIORE.DE
"The wines are made mainly from autochthonous varieties and are modern in orientation, balanced, technically very pure and precise in aroma." Gambero Rosso
